  1. i assume "somewhat interesting" is a generous term for "seriouz QQ"
  2. I did this at level and succeeded by about 10% of life. Tough fight but ever since level 40 i've started spending money on gear and good upgrades for me and khem...like looking at every slot of orange gear and spending commendations or AH'ing for upgrades. Also make sure your relics are up to date and pop them accordingly. I tend to do all the current space dailies (although they seem way harder at around level 45 than ever before) and the pvp daily (till I win) before doing anything else, which nets me enough money to support my new upgrade habit.
  3. Here's an idea. If you gave the dps a buff that would activate in boss battles if they are within 10 meters of the boss for X amount of time (maybe 6 s) providing them a dps boost as long as they stay there, maybe 1% added damage that could stack with another 6 s. The added boost would go away and start the timer over if they have to move out of range. That would give them a nice boost in damage for being right next to boss and help them overcome the loss when they have to move. No need to add abilites or gap closers, just a hand out for having to run around so damn much. Just thought I would throw this out there.
  4. I can understand where you're coming from, but the basic function of seeint the /roll, "hey i hit a 99 woot!...only to be beaten by a 100...:D" is a fun aspect that can be used in a number of scenarios. Not just for loot in a dungeon. Maybe 2 tanks want to run a FP and you only need 1...roll for it! You made a sweet piece of gear and its going to a BH and both need it, roll for it!.... Seriously though coming up with extra uses for including the /roll function is kinda dumb but I'd do it just to campaign for this issue I feel so strongly about. /signed....again.
  5. Good post. I <3 healing with my sorc in both PvE and PvP. Would be cool if someone added a section about PvP. I leveled as a healer and did many FPs along the way so I have the most practice in PvE and would like a little info on PvP. It seems like some abilities get dismissed in PvP in favor of others and insight would be helpful. I have a lot of fun in PvP but I sometimes feel useless/or that I'm healing the wrong people. Premades can cause this...but additional info would be nice.
  6. /roll can be used for any number of things. as the groups get bigger the need becomes critical. i mean, forcing people to come up with a new way could yield a fun new alternative...but i'd rather get a sweet in game item that generated a number or something. make this happen.
  7. same problem. I'll list a few when I get home from work but I've tried reseting it and nothign works to abandon. I currently have about 5 quests that are grey and un-abandonable.
  8. yeah this problem is annoying as hell. you know its coming on every PUG run...but therein lies the key...don't PUG. Friend the good people and try to run with them or guildies only. Only reasonable solution.
  9. Hello all, just looking for a path to greatness here. My guild has several players approaching 50 and its about time to decide what we'll do to gear up for Ops. I don't push anyone to do it one way or the other but I'd like to have some go-to information to help with this. From what I've seen and read it appears that the Champion PvP gear is the best option stat wise. If I had it my way we would just run through H FPs to get gear while getting an idea of the scaling for hard mode. Is the Champion gear just suggested because its the best and makes it easy? Or are normal mode Ops doable with H FP gear? If I'm totally off here I'd like the feedback, thanks.
  10. a lot of good feed back here for folks looking for it...i felt obliged to post with the 2000+ views and only 14 replies...lol
  11. also resurgence/force bending will greatly improve your FP healing. you can cast a resurgence on anyone and then get a cheap dark heal or a fast infusion (and other benefits to future abilities). a great way to use consumption is as soon as you use infusion, use consumption a few times and then cast a resurgence on yourself. it'll give you a HoT to help with the consumption costs and then gets you a nice cheap/fast heal for whoever you've been neglecting
  12. i'm interested in this topic, i don't have anything to contribute as I'm only 32. But can you elaborate a little on how/why this is happening? Is auto-assign a real feature in the game or just a theory of yours?
  13. haven't tried it today, if fixed ignore... I totally agree with all the ideas in this thread. -How was master looter implemented with no /roll? Tested much? -Star Wars edition dice would be a cool in game feature. -World Boss required dozens or more (or so I've heard) and how is the loot to be distributed? Need/Greed? Not if I led the raid... /signed
  14. I don't know what you're refering to here. Do you use static barrier? I am level 19 specced for healing and have a lot of fun in PvP. I routinely get a few MVP votes for my efforts (which is an awesome feature). So as long as you static barrier as much as possible, you can really help out your teammates, and spam infusion which you should make sure is specced to reduce cast time. I can't tell you how many people i've bubbled and it was all they needed to turn there fight...incredibly fun IMHO.
  15. I will say that the Bosses are generally easier than the packs of mobs which pretty much required CC'ing and the PATs were a surprise for just heroic quests. But I do remember reading that these areas (heroic areas) would be in the game and they were an alternative to flashpoints to provide some dynamic group content. As a sorc healer I had a lot of fun watching my friends skirt around the CC'd mob and having to let tank get aggro before pounding made these experiences challenging and fun...although my friend accidentally rez'd at med center and had to jump off a cliff and die next to us rather than go through the mobs again. lol.
  16. I was certainly surprised to find out there was no roll function. Seems to be Bioware outsmarting themselves. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
