  1. Glad I got the DDE! Only 20 bucks more then the Standard...and you get all the goodies that matter...like the Lovely Dancer Holo...the Screenshot item...and of course the most important of all...the free lvl 25 mount on every char you make!

You CAN'T be serious about the stupid screenshot item. It doesn't even put you back into third person view.

  2. I just want to give one example of a freakin awesoem content patch and how it should be:

The Sunwell, gave a new island with dailies, raid and a truly great heroic dungeon that was pretty hard for the casually geared players.

The content was unlocked as the server progressed, as day passed more dailies were unlocked and more parts of isle were open. You also gained reputation with the faction that gave you rewards, new patterns for your crafting skills and items to help you progress.

Heroic dungeon was the first one in game that let all bosses inside drop epics and not jsut last boss, with fun encounters that helped prepare people for raids.

Raid was extremely difficult thanks to the variety of encounters with different mechanics and took weeks for best guilds to fully clear it.

I LOVE Sunwell so much. I also really liked the dungeon can't remember the name but I remember farming it for the bags and Pheonix pet. It was great. The raid itself was fantastic never got to kill Kiljaedan myself but I did see him.

Also the proximity of the dailies made me not mind doing them well daily unlike TOR with Ilum and Belsavis.

WoW had more than 590 people per server, and content that couldn't be pugged in quest greens.

This is what the fanboys like to forget. It took months for people to be ready to raid and to me it was fun as hell getting to 60 and farming LBRS and such.

  3. The statue alone would sell for close to the price of the CE at most comic shops or any other place that sells things like that. The comic shop I go to has a ton of similar collectible statues that are usually at least 100 bucks. So value wise I think we got a great deal. I think some people are just not happy with the in game items. I think the in game stuff is fine. not having to pay for a speeder at rank 1 is a nice thing to have for all my characters.

A staute you buy in said comic shop would be of a much better quality. These are cheaply made statues.

I am happy with my CE though even if I'm not happy with me game.

  4. Well, I opened up the launcher, put in my account details, started up the game, then sat on the character select screen...

    ... for a while.

Then when I realized I couldn't bring myself to log in, I finally mustered up the courage to unsubscribe.

What a weight off my shoulders!

    Here's to 1.2 though...

Ha same thing almost except I logged in I was on Ilum picked up my dailies and I decided I don't wanna do this **** again.

I have 6 days left and I'm not subbing until I see big crafting changes.

  5. Please don't just spout off absolutes like that.

Go play Hard Rain for PS3.

Heavy Rain, and that is really the best you can come up with? Planescape Torment one of if not the best story in a game ever told. I really hope Obsidian goes through with the kickstarter idea. Obsidian > Bioware in terms of writing (and well gameplay)

  6. CoH, CO, STO, AO, DDO, Aion, Rift and WoW to name a few.

All of those games have some form of idle animation. Not all of them have specific idle animations for each class or race, but they do have idle animations.

I agree we need some idle animations here. Not just for players but for companions too. It just looks wrong when my Bounty Hunter is standing at attention like he's in Boot Camp while Mako stares at him like he's a Big Salad.

    :csw_redsaber::csw_bluesaber:

Definitely TOR really makes me appreciate the little things other studios have done to give their MMOs more detail.

Each race in WoW has it's own animation I believe and gender too.

    Just look ( . Y . )

  7. They're currently working on a feature that would recolor your armor to match your chest piece.

I know. I'd still would rather be able to dye everything individually but at least it's something.

I quoted to say that I am with you as far as the apperence tab thing goes and dyes. Ultima Online had a dye system and it was awesome.

Lord of the Rings Online just had fashion week! I'd love something like that in TOR.

  8. They definitely want to make it better, they are looking in to it!

They have a good idea it's execution is just horrible. Call me a fool if you will for believing this but it obviously did not turn out to be anything like this.

The best stuff is always going to come from other players, and then be made by other players. There will be stuff that you can craft that is among the best stuff in the entire game.

    http://massively.joystiq.com/2010/11/12/massively-interviews-bioware-on-swtors-crafting-and-pvp/

As for the orange armor and mods in 1.2 I still think we should should just have an apperance tab and dyes it would make people much happier.

  9. I love the physical stuff in the CE, specifically the statue (I am a collector), the journal, and the soundtrack. If it didn't have those I never would have bought it.

Same here. I bought it for the statue only but I read the Journal and it's really great. The map I don't care for since it feels like one big sticker. If only the codex could have been printed so I can read the whole since I hate reading it on my computer.

  10. Every time I get another character to 25 and don't have to shell out another 8k I thank my wife for getting me the CE. I've had a few other CE's and have never had something so useful come with it as in-game items. The other stuff is cool too, but 8k on a level 25 character seems like a good bit.

Gotta love the Holo dancer and the flare gun is cool too although I hardly ever use them. I still haven't even looked at the statue LOL

Best collector's edition ever? Are you serious?

    Dead Island

    Witcher 2

    Assassin's Creed

    Arkham City

    Fallout 3

Yup. I own all of these (minus the dead island) and I do own the TOR Collector's Edition. Frankly whenever I buy a physical copy of a game it's usually a CE version >.>

  11. http://www.1up.com/news/god-war-creator-calls-story

What I mean is that deep story telling is important in a game. But games are NOT the best medium for story.

Seriously? Remember when movies couldn't be a serious form of story telling?

Planescape Torment, Deus Ex, Neverwinter Nights Mask of the Betrayer, The Witcher 1 and 2, Knights of the Old Republic 2, Fallout 1 and 2, Fallout New Vegas.

I can keep going on but people who think games can't tell a good story probably think movies can't either.

  12. Thank you, i didnt realise how bad gw2 was until you provided me with that video, im now at a lose to what all this hype is about in concern to gw2.

He secretly is saying he loves it.

lies, you have nothing better to do, get a life. You just like to troll, I bet he plays this still and if you think GW2 is good, think again, I been testing it on and off, its horrid, GW1 was not even an MMO, GW2 is not either... Its a joke..

Lol sure you are. I totally believe you.

  13. I enjoy spec building and theory crafting but that was never possible with the WoW-3-Way-Talent-System --> You always have cookie-cutter-builts who are easily proven to be the best spec for a certain purpose.

At best you have 3 builts for a class: a PVE-first role, PVE-second role and a PVP built. If you regard it more closely you most likely only have 2 builts as 1 of the 2 roles in PVE is always below in performance of the other.

SW:TOR exactely copied that dumb talent system, they could aswell add no talents at all since they are no-brainers and only pretend to give you a choice.

I anyway would approve a system like Diablo 3 is now doing, give every player 10 or even 15 quickslots and make them choose what skills they want to use along with health pots etc... Then make those quickslots only changeable somewhere in fleet and disable inventory in combat.

This would serve 2 purposes, i wouldn't feel insulted by so called "talent-trees" and the interface would be cleaned.

If people now reply me and say omg no talenz you n00b then i give them already my answer:"Pal, you never had any talents they are just illusionary choices, by the time you reach End-LvL you have the same talent-builts as all the people of your class, so why bother in the first place?"

I like the new talent system in Mists of Panderia.

  14. The difference is, If you think of a fantasy world, pet battles are not a big part of it. If you think of the Star Wars Universe, space battles are a big part of it.

So of course people expect exciting space battles from a sci-fi (or sci-fantasy) game.

    True.

But I am looking forward to pet battles say what you want but TOR needs fluff content. Someting for me to kill time and do when I'm not raiding or pvping. Collecting the rarest pets in WoW could take a long time and when someone sees my Ooze pet in battle they will want it!
