  1. you should go for vindicator's gear. also, seeing as you're a vigilance guardian, you should be using shien. vigilance is about dps, so using soresu will hurt more than help... except in the case of huttball. when you're the ball carrier, it's a good idea to switch to soresu, but as soon as you score/pass the ball, switch back to shien.
  2. iirc, you're suppose to talk to Master Nimi first. he introduces you to the advanced classes and then directs you to the AC trainer. he can be found on the fleet and coruscant.
  3. i know you were expecting more bank for your buck, but gear doesn't scale that way. each set increases your dmg by a bit, not a lot, but enough to give you a slight edge. it isn't until you've progressed through several sets that you notice a significant improvement. bioware doesn't want players to feel like they have to have the best gear just to have fun. so while the EWH vindicator's lightsaber won't turn you into a god, it will increase your dmg, just like every other lightsaber before it. so understand that you got precisely what you paid for; the best pvp weapon available.
  4. rofl, no you didn't. the elite war hero weapons are definitely stronger than war hero. my melee dmg increased by 21 when i switched to the elite war hero hilt. if you switched out all of your war hero mods for the elite war hero, then that's why your dmg didn't see much of an increase. the elite war hero vindicator's lightsaber doesn't have any power in it.
  5. they were moddable eversince they were added in 1.4.
  6. if that was true, then there'd be no need for a crit stat. after much thought, this is how i'd prioritize the stats - str>acc>pow>crit>surge. the reason accuracy is next in line is simple; for your attacks to crit, you must first hit your target. missing has a huge impact on your dps, and must be eliminated, or else your ability to crit will be shot. a missed attack is a worthless attack. in terms of gear, i'd use str/pow and str/crit mods with acc/pow enhancements. a good deal of your crit/surge can be handled by an earpiece, implants, relic and buffs. since guardians have a +main stat skill in vigilance, you can take advantage of that by using might augments, which has the added bonus of increasing your crit chance a bit. if done correctly, your crit/surge should be around 30%/75%.
  7. that's odd. i got my elite war hero's lightsaber a few weeks ago and took the hilt out of it.
  8. no, nobody has seen any of the remaining pieces, because they do not drop. synthweavers can craft a pair of gloves, boots, and belt that look identical to the missing pieces, they are called ablative laminoid. i see them all the time on the GTN, but if that fails you, then ask around for someone that can craft them.
  9. afaik, the rest of the battleborn set does not drop. fortunately, sythweavers can craft gear called ablative laminoid that looks just like the missing pieces.
  10. i took screenshots of some other standard-looking robes. from left to right: warbringer's body armor, indignation chestguard (as mentioned by BanditSE), and blade master vest. http://www.imagebam.com/image/27ebff213016537 personally, i wear the expulsor's set with the warbringer's body armor and jedi battlelord's belt (i like a belt with packs). i feel the shoulder pads make him look more experienced.
  11. the names escape me at the moment, but yes, there are white standard jedi robes. unfortunately, they are not customizable and would hold back your knight's potential once you've progressed past coruscant (where they drop). a robe that is customizable and is close to what you're looking for is the agile judgment vest.
  12. the standard jedi clothing for guardians is the battle expulsor's set. the robe can be gained through the gree missions on coruscant and the pants are obtained on taris from the bonus series. the gloves, boots, armguards, belt, and headgear can be looted from npcs of the same or higher level, but the drop rate is very, very low. i would not recommend hunting them yourself, as it nearly drove me nuts just looking for the gloves. these days, i always see a few pieces on the gtn, so that's your best bet. incase the gtn fails you, here is a list of where i looted mine. boots - kill chief roh'saren the red on tatooine, can be found near 248, -1876. gloves - heroic 2+ mission Republic's Most Wanted. armguards - heroic 4 Enemies of the Republic.
  13. as far as i know, the rest of the battleborn set doesn't drop. however, i found a pair of boots and gloves called ablative laminoid that look exactly like them. they're custom medium armor and are made by synthweavers, so you should cruise the GTN or ask around for those that can craft them.
  14. i have looted two jedi battlelord's belts from a lv 44-45 champion called Vrakus. he is located on voss at X: -1193, Y: -144 and respawns ever ~5 min. be cautious, as this area has two mission entrances for bounty hunters and sith inquisitors.
  15. you have to apply 5 stacks of armor reduction before that effect kicks in.
  16. it's not a bug, that's just the way they were designed.
  17. Narrowed Focus - Generates 1 additional focus when taking area effect damage while Shien Form is active.
  18. i'm surprised no one has mentioned the Warbringer's Body Armor. it's a heavy, shoulder-padded, black robe with some white-ish tabards (at least this is how it appears on the republic side) which drops on the hammer station. my vigilance guardian, who is full light side, currently wears this along with battle expulsor's gloves, greaves, and boots (which are the same model as the warbringer variants, except they are moddable). thanks to the match-to-chest feature, it allows the rest of my gear (except my belt) to have the same dark shade. here is a screenshot of how it looks on him: http://www.imagebam.com/image/d17f22193350618
  19. i agree with the OP 100%. i want to feel like i'm living in that galaxy far, far away again.
  20. yes, vigilance still dishes out a painful amount of damage, so long as you know what you're doing. the only thing we lost in 1.2 was protector, which increased our hp by 4% and added guardian leap's effects to ourselves when used. however, this has not put a dent in my guardian's ability to survive.
  21. Server: Davik's Estate Need: Gloves (i have an extra belt for trade) didn't think i'd get very far with the this set, but over time, i've managed to get everything except the gloves. i could probably settle for the exalted guardian pair... if my legacy lv was high enough. however, for the sake of completing the set, i'd much rather have the real thing.
  22. i finally found the boots and gloves. i looted the boots from a tusken raider called Chief Roh'Saren the Red. being a boss, i figured he'd be my best chance at finding the boots asap. great thing about him was he dropped orange gear on a regular basis. took me a week, but he finally dropped them. later, i discovered a pair of boots on the gtn. so without hesitation, i bought them for 3k to give to my brother. the gloves were rather aggravating since i had more targets to kill, but through perseverance and an utter hatred for the retardedly low drop rate, i found not one, but two pairs at the Republic's Most Wanted. the first pair took about two weeks to find, the second i found in a week (also for my bro). now all that's left for me is the belt... so where should i start looking?
  23. i too have done the republic's most wanted mission many, many times in hopes of finding the gloves. unfortunately, the only pair i've found so far were for the trooper and smuggler classes. i have also been slaughtering lv 24-25 tuskens for the boots. found a bunch of lv 23 gear, but my luck was the same; no boots. i have been at this for weeks, which is burning me out and making the game less fun every day i do not find these items. what can i say, i'm a little crazy about my character's appearance. however, what isn't crazy, is wanting my jedi to look like a jedi.
