  1. I had to do the same thing. Also, keep in mind the only datacrons that are listed in your legacy are the stat-boosting ones. The matrix shard datacrons are still out there, they just aren't unlocked account-wide.
  2. You may be happy to hear that several people were directing folks to both your forum post and website on my server (Master Zhar Lestin) last night. Thanks for putting all of this together.
  3. Ah well, I guess this is a known bug and not a design decision? Thanks for the quick reply Owsley and Vengillian.
  4. Not sure if this is a bug or if I'm just missing something, so I figured I'd ask here before submitting a ticket. Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere or if this is a known issue. I admit I only poked around the forums a short while before posting this. I've recently reached Dark Side 1. Through preferences, I've set the option to show Dark Side appearance changes on my character. It works fine in-game (my Rattataki's eyes have changed from light blue to an orange/red) but when I am on the character select screen the changes do not display (eyes are back to light blue). Anyone else have this issue or am I just missing a preference specifically for the character select screen?
  5. You cannot transfer characters at this time. Might become available sometime in the future, but there is no word as to when/if that'll happen.
  6. Have to agree with the "fortunate" folk. The idea of the legacy system is to (eventually) grants bonuses to players going through the game an additional time. If you really don't like your surname then you can always start over on another server.
  7. As long as the gear matches the companion's skills (ie: light armor, medium armor, or heavy armor) they can wear it. Not sure about the later planets, but every one I've been to has vendors for each armor type and a weapons vendor.
  8. I'd check your credit if I were you. If you get billed and your card is declined, the bill doesn't just disappear. Eventually the bill will be put into collection.
  9. Nope, there are gear and weapons in the game that require certain levels of Light or Dark to use. You can also find gear and weapons that require you to be neither Light nor Dark to use.
  10. Not sure where you could find one. There has to be a drop somewhere in the game, I've found no-alignment basic sabers. Good luck!
  11. Thanks blindxsecrets! I'll have to try that once I get home (damn holiday travel to the in-laws...).
  12. I play on a Mac Desktop using Bootcamp and it works like a dream for me. The only downside would be that you'll need to buy a copy of Windows.
  13. I've been trying to figure this out for myself so I'll see if I can get that to work. I'm playing on a Mac so I'll have to figure out what the equivalent to the PrintScreen button is on an Apple keyboard.
  14. Yea, can't change the base looks of your character after you finalize. If you don't want to re-level again, maybe you should consider trying another class for awhile. That way when you go back to your original class it won't feel so repetitive.
  15. Agreed. I would try running the program as an admin. If that doesn't work then you may have to reinstall.
  16. Grey gear is currently in the game. While there isn't a grey vendor, you can find gear that requires you to be neither Light nor Dark. During my first run through Black Talon a lightsaber dropped with that restriction. If you decide to roleplay your choices rather than min/max you will not be penalized. Sure, there will be some gear you cannot use, but there is plenty of gear of equal (and greater) value with no such stipulations
  17. I'd be sure to cancel now if you only plan on playing for the first 30 days. If you put it off and the card declines not only will you no longer be able to play but you will also still be responsible for the declined bill.
  18. Don't forget the added armor. You may not get a huge speed bump in the final tiers of speeders, but it takes a lot more damage to knock you off.
  19. Here are each class's main stat Jedi Knight: Strength Jedi Consular: Willpower Smuggler: Cunning Trooper: Aim Sith Warrior: Strength Sith Inquisitor: Willpower Imperial Agent: Cunning Bounty Hunter: Aim
  20. You can only learn three different skills, although you can send each of your companions out on separate crafting/gathering/skill missions at the same time.
  21. Don't worry, space flights are optional. You wont have to suffer through them if it bothers you that much.
  22. Have you tried toggling that quest as active? The quest to go to your capital planet should be on your map. Once you reach the fleet you have the option to go the flashpoint route or straight to the capital, both ships should be in the same area (look for a glowing blue door). If you are on the Imperial Fleet, the elevator leading to the ships is in the north.
  23. Sadly, there isn't any way for you to alter your character's base looks once you start the game. On the plus side, you should start finding helmets by the time you reach the capital planet.
  24. While there aren't any Grey gear vendors, there is Grey gear in the game. During my first run through Black Talon a lightsaber dropped off of the final boss that could only be used if you were neither Light 1 nor Dark 1.
  25. Keep in mind that while you can visit the other starting planet you cannot pick up any of the quests there on your own.
