  1. I must have missed the part of the Patch Notes where they said chat bubbles where finally being added. I'm sure they're coming and I just overlooked it. Somebody help me find it please...
  2. So far everybody seems to be in favor of a veteran reward system... maybe we could get Eric Musco to chime in on the suggestion? What kind of stuff would everybody like to see for rewards in such a system, and what intervals would be appropriate for when veterans earn rewards?
  3. Be a subscriber Preorder the Shadow of Revan expansion to get 12x Class Mission xp Join a guild with xp bonus Use general XP bonus items found in Cartel Packs
  4. While not particularly an original suggestion, why doesn't SWTOR have systems in place to reward subscribers for their continued loyalty? I get my 500CC per month, but every sub gets that every month, whether it's their 1st month subbed, or their 21st. How about a veteran reward system that grants special rewards based on the length of total subscription time... it could be added to the Cartel Market interface under a special Veteran category and every month/quarter subscribers could grab an exclusive gift (cosmetic items only like adaptive armor, titles, emotes, regen toys, and stronghold decos). Similarly, an Achievement reward system would allow for a selection of like rewards based on passing certain Achievement score thresholds (maybe every 500 or 1000 total achievement score). Thoughts?
  5. I haven't seen many item trades conducted through the server forums, so hopefully this isn't some sort of violation of ToS, but I'm trying to score Tulak Hord's Helmet to complete my set and I've got a few gems I'm willing to part with from among the following: Massive Anti-Air Turret (Stronghold Decoration Item) Tythonian Force-Master's Lightsaber Corellian Stardrive Stealth Firmament Tauntaun I've got a plenty of other stuff that I might be willing to part with... let me know what you're looking for and we'll see what we can work out. Any serious offers please reply here and we can meet in game to discuss specifics.
  6. I've long thought that an official app for SWTOR could provide all kinds of cool functionality... Access to Friends List (make friends Legacy-wide) Access to Guild Chat Crew Skill management Legacy-wide Achievements and Collections Cartel Market! Schedule in-game events and support device notifications Character and Gear preview News and Event info from the devs These are just a few of the features a well-designed app could provide.
  7. It's permanent until Dec. 1st, at which point it will temporarily go away forever.
  8. Only somebody who thinks they've been "choson" would share the outlook of a child who sees somebody else get something nice and, in turn, think they're entitled for something nice as well... Just look at this with a little logic: -This expansion is designed for characters level 55 and above -Players with few or no 55s may be less inclined to invest in the expansion right away -Players with multiple 55s would be likely to preorder the expansion -The more players that preorder now, the more resources EA/BW has to develop nice things for us to play with -You are welcome to level up additional characters without investing a lot of time in them -This is good for the playerbase as a whole Think before you grumble...
  9. So let chat bubbles be a UI option and allow us to toggle on or off by preference. If you don't like 'em, you don't have to use 'em. I personally find it much easier to interact with somebody if they're there, and overall the social aspect of the game improves in my opinion.
  10. A couple more Quality of Life UI Changes I'd like to see: -Add an option to display nameplates for group members and establish a specific coloring for each group member's nameplate -Allow an option to display nearby player dots on mini-map and display group member dots following the above color convention ... and again, add chat bubbles for all spatial chat
  11. Another thing I'd love to see is the option to toggle on Mini Map Rotation. Just about every other game in the known universe allows for either Fixed/Rotation views for the Mini Map, but not SWTOR... ... and hell yes to the chat bubbles.
  12. Here are a few things I keep thinking would be nice to see implemented: - Cartel Pack Items: change to Legacy Bound when first obtained from a pack so they can be stored in Legacy Storage for those trying to keep their collections organized - Group Nameplates: this would be especially useful for when you run with a pickup group and aren't used to what everybody looks like or even what everybody's name is - Mini-Map Rotation: this is just a personal preference, but when I play games I prefer for the mini-map to rotate so the direction I'm facing is always "up" on the map... this should be a checkbox to enable/disable in preferences - Chat Bubbles: there a tons of threads on this already, but it sure would be nice to see chat bubbles finally get implemented in SWTOR! Any thoughts?
  13. I'm guessing you are returning to the game after being away for some time. I can get you started with some information here. Hopefully you find that helpful... and best of luck on your return!
  14. I'd like a device that generates freshly made Taco Bell Chipotle Ranch Chicken Grillers.
  15. I want mine to randomly pluck an npc from nearby and swallow him/her whole.
  16. I've got a Radeon HD 7950 and, combined with my overclocked i5 3570k, it eats this game alive. I can't crank up the shadow settings much with the new shadow rendering engine they implemented, but everything else is pretty much maxxed. Just make sure you have a suitably fast processor to go with your video card, as I've gathered SWTOR is rather processor intensive...
  17. Awesome thanks guys! Now to procrastinate for two more weeks then bust my ***** trying to get them in one night!
  18. Per thread title... when does Soovada (sp?) end? I've been a bit lazy about really hitting it hard, and although I've gotten a couple weapons, the recharge item, and the pet, I have yet to get my rancor... hoping I have at least another week to get this done...
  19. I've thought about this before as well... Access through a website or mobile app might come with certain restrictions: - Access to a limited number of companions legacy-wide at one time, maybe only 1 or 2 - No ability to open lock boxes or reverse engineer through remote access - A finite mission delivery dropbox, starting with a low number of slots, but upgradeable with CC or credits (EA/BW would love a new revenue stream/credit sink like this) - Access to a remote crew skills system could be restricted to, or incentivised by, a subscription requirement or enhancement If there are currently any thoughts of a crew skills revamp for 3.0, this would be a perfect feature to rollout. Although it's possible that the market for rare resources could be affected, such a system could interest more players in digging deeper into the crew skills system, thus creating more buyers of high-end, late-game resources, which may offset the effect. With so many games offering companion apps, I've wanted something to go along with my SWTOR experience for a long time, and other than just an official codex I can't think of many other usable features (the only other thing I could see would be the ability to view my characters' gear remotely... like my friends want to be hassled by me showing off my new lightsaber lol)
  20. The guys over at Razer (the company that makes gaming mice and keyboards) came up with this little gem: Razer Comms. It's still developing, but I use it with a few friends and the quality is great.
  21. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be implemented in the same patch along with the spatial chat bubbles... so it's coming soon
