In my experience whenever I use this ability its on a huge zerg of enemies and probably aren't paying attention to the little marking on there feet and they get blasted to hell. I'm not disagreeing with you the evidence is clear via your vid and so many others that are out there. P.S. Anyone else yell 'MORTAR VOLLEY' to there friends in mumble and then laugh menacingly afterwards?

I pvp just fine as a healer... use the raid bars to help keep an eye on ppl's hp and have a tank guard you and your good to go.

I don't mean to Hyjack this thread, but has anyone noticed this happening with deployed companions as well? It will show my deployed companions as available for missions and my un-deployed companions as unavailable. This usually happens when I'm down to only 1 more companion deploy-able. **Edit** It seems that the reason I was getting errors could have been due to the fact that one of my companions was listed as "unavailable" from a class mission. After I got him back it seems everything has returned to normal.

I'm not sure about the BH, but I play the Merc's mirror class (Commando) and we have a 60 sec cc that breaks on dmg. Normally for those types of encounters I cc the toughest enemy (unless its a champion) and then take out the adds, rechage and then go for the guy I cc'd. If it takes longer than 60 seconds just reapply the cc and keep on going. Edit: My apologies I didn't read. Your not a merc. Well in that case are you tank spec? Or is Mako your healing compation? I would use a healer for those situations where the fight will last more than 60 sec.

+1 to OP As an added note for PvP: Tanks, guard (the ability) us! It's great in warzones having 50% dmg redirected at you especially since it makes it so we only have to heal one target instead of you and me. Throw the extra 30% mitigation of dmg to taunted players and that will keep us both alive a lot longer. So remember, guard your healers and taunt as often as possible. That is all.

I'm pretty sure that destroying the shield generators yield xp. About 20 or so depending on the mission difficulty (basically more for the higher up missions)

Get some competent friends

You can actually edit your search results down to the past 24 hrs... While this might not help much for the forum as it stands right now (with thousands of threads being created every hr) it does help eliminate some of the old junk.

Light and Dark gear is just appearance changes if I understand correctly from other threads.

Yes, you can search by user name. You would just use the name you wish in the search like this: Bournsac site:swtor.com/community You can also get more specific if you know the thread your looking for, such as: Bournsac search forums site:swtor.com/community Will it be helpful? Probably not if the person your looking for posts often as the name can show up numerous times in one thread and this search option does not list each individual thread. Rather it just lists links where the name is referenced.

I know the forum doesn't yet have a search function packaged with it, but if your looking for a specific thread or want to do a search google is your best friend. Try using the denoter "site:swtor.com/community" in your search to make a specific query to the SWTOR forum using google. So for example: cant search forum site:swtor.com/community This will bring up a significant ammount of the 'why is there no search function!?' threads. I hope this helps for the time being while they work on implementing a search function. For more info about google's advanced searches check out this page

Because they have no idea what a server is or how it works. They are preparing these machines for the obscene amounts of bandwidth that will be traveling across the tubes tonight and they want to make sure that the game launch is as much of a success as they boast it will be. Just relax, breath, have a drink, do some exercises... whatever you can to occupy your time for 45 more minutes. Me? Well... lets just say I'm glad I have 2nd shift at work tomorrow
