  1. I already told you that I'm sorry I ate Charlie the chicken, but I was hungry during progression.
  2. Selene'Athena (imperial) and Keira'Athena (Republic) can craft the following stuff from <Empire>'s old list: Advanced Mettle Mod 27 Advanced Mettle Mod 27A Advanced Aptitude Mod 26A Advanced Keen Mod 26B Advanced Mettle Mod 26 Advanced Robust Mod 26 Advanced Insight Enhancement 27 Advanced Acute Enhancement 26 Advanced Battle Enhancement 26 Advanced Intuition Enhancement 26 Free with mats. Sorry about the poor formatting/lack of links. Oh - and thanks for maintaining this thread. It's going to be a great help.
  3. But presence boosts the stats of all your companions! Your teammates will thank you.
  4. Character: Selene'Athena Guild: <Empire> Server: The Ebon Hawk Class: Sorcerer Map: Civil War Biggest Heal - 9323 http://i.imgur.com/eWa6C.jpg
  5. LOL to be fair you can't really play huttball at level 12 anyways. I mean, I guess you can use force leap if you have warriors... that's about it

  7. I think we can all agree that this dude is either a terrible player or an excellent troll (or both). Let's move on. I think the OP was mostly venting: you're not going to convince morons to stop being morons, or at least it's not going to be fun for you to try.
  8. Well, if those are mutually exclusive options, then in some situations your 0 expertise setup may be better (but I think you'd still have over 100 expertise from 2 PvP relics that are or at time were BiS for PvE for most tanks). But they're not mutually exclusive options anyhow. You can get over 1100 expertise and 28K health (with a fortitude stim on, granted) at the same time - that's basically what I do for my shadow's tank gear. It's not hard to figure out how. It just depends whether you're PvPing for its own sake (in which case, optimize for your role(s) in PvP) or to grind elite war hero relics for PvE (in which case, I'm sorry you have to do it... BW should fix its gear.)
  9. The long answer would be that it depends on figuring out where diminishing returns on expertise justify gains in whatever you're trying to maximize from PvE gear. This is for the same reason that you don't want to strictly maximize your expertise - PvE crystals and armorings/hilts benefit you up to a point. It is complicated by the fact that expertise increases two things that are normally tradeoffs (damage/healing power and mitigation) and you usually min/max your PvE gear for one purpose. Generally though the stock recruit gear they give you answers the question for you: it has too much of some stat(s) for the gear level, so drop a few pieces to get those stats down to a lower level if you have BiS (I'm talking Hazmat here, not even BH) pieces with more desirable stats for those slots - even better if those dropped pieces don't have a lot of expertise. You'll probably end up with ~700 expertise, which is not great, but that tradeoff is almost surely worth it if you are a PvE hero and have that stuff. The short answer is: spend a few days to get full min-maxed war hero.
  10. More lolz. Also, further to the "why you need expertise in PvP" thread. 1. Phoebe'Athena 2. <Empire> 3. Juggernaut 4. Civil War 5. Biggest Hit - 9627 6. http://i48.tinypic.com/2hnz68h.jpg
  11. That's right; edited to fix this. My spreadsheet became severely discombobulated so I must have misread it.
  12. The other idea in my head recently has been 2 v 2 v 2 but I'll have to ask some people how they think that would turn out.
  13. If combat ends, you can heal up, but the re-application of the dot on its expiration will interrupt it. (I don't think this puts you into combat though, or at least not for very long).
  14. AFAIK it is only acid blade, and I have only seen this in Hypergate, which isn't to say that it wouldn't work in another WZ ,just that I haven't noticed it before. It's kind of a rare situation to be able to test - it would require me to be solo defending a node AND have an enemy attempt to CC cap me AND have my acid blade applied to them. This combination of factors has rarely come up before, but the short cap time on Hypergate probably encouraged them to try to cc me instead of just squashing my squishy ***. I haven't had the opportunity to try it with any other dot, though I know for a fact that my sorc dots have no similar effect in other WZs, and I don't know if they do in Hypergate. Reapplied DoTs from lingering toxins (or the equivalent smuggler ability) DO seem to interrupt caps. At least that's been reported to me by lethality buddies. But that's off topic.
  15. Posting this for the lolz 1. Selene'Athena 2. <Empire> 3. Sorcerer 4. Civil War 5. Biggest Heal - 8414 6. http://i48.tinypic.com/24o6q6h.jpg
  16. Thanks for the thoughtful replies. Has anybody else looked at the effect of acid blade on channeling caps?
  17. I wish you wouldn't throw out unsubstantiated accusations that I can't answer because the tournament is over and settled. I can confirm that an <Empire> member did AOE damage to a player and killed and eliminated him in a late round, against the instructions that I gave out about where hazards could be appropriately targeted. The eliminated player also happened to be an <Empire> player. We obviously weren't going to call that one back. Also, <Empire> and <Game Genie> are not the same guild, so it's confusing and overly complimentary to conflate them. I just happen to be a rank and file member of both of them, as do 2 other players out of dozens on either roster. In the future if there is a problem at a tournament I or anybody else am hosting, it's best to bring it up while it can still affect the outcome.
  18. It's over! The Battle Royale lasted 8 rounds. I won't go into the confusing and gory details of the early rounds, but by round 6 we were left with 8 competitors: Dashto, Quil'xin'coa, Animosity, Panopticus, Vindre, Lamech, Gaulrik, and Merope. The healers ate the DPS, then slowly nibbled on each other (why does this sound familiar?) In the end, Dashto and Quil'xin'coa were left with 1 death each and the field eliminated. They graciously agreed to duel to the death for the grand prize of 1.5 million credits, which Dashto subsequently took home. Thanks to everybody for coming out, participating, and spectating.
  19. Noticed today on my operative while cc-capping the other team that my acid blade interrupts capping. I'd never noticed this before (but it was a pretty unique situatation - I capped on them, they starting capping, I backstabbed to interrupt since it was up, I was then stunned without a breaker, and the acid blade ticks interrupted 3-4 cap attempts). Anybody else noticed this? Does acid blade count as direct damage? Or do other dots also break caps in Hypergates?
  20. TL;DR: Somebody knows the Might 27 hilt and if you'd like to buy it from them, pay them 4 million plus mats.
  21. Hey everyone, Thanks for all your entries! I'll be keeping the post with the list of contestants updated today with any additions. Contestants: Please be sure to review the rules for the tournament and show up promptly for the start of the tournament at 9 PM EST. We'll be starting very shortly after the hour. Remember to quit your guild and leave any groups you are in. Guildmasters should designate one of their alts as guildmaster to avoid disbanding their guilds. Spectators: We hope that there will be a crowd to watch the action! I'd like to request that you avoid interfering with the combat itself, and to avoid horseplay/dueling in the close vicinity of the pit. The format of the tournament requires that we ensure that the combatants don't get put into combat too early, and the tournament will run much smoother if the time between rounds is kept to a minimum. Any incidental AOE damage, taunts, etc., can be really disruptive. Please also avoid grouping with the contestants, even in order to rez them. We will have rezzes covered at the end of rounds and want to avoid any confusion there. Cheers!
  22. Not sure whether you meant tiers in terms of <50 levels or in terms of gear. Unfortunately there is no bolstering mechanic in Outlaw's Den. Even a gap of 1 or 2 levels creates a sizeable disadvantage on SWTOR, as your chance to hit your opponent decrease as the level gap increases. You'll see this if you've ever tried to fight a mob, say, 6 levels ahead of you. Therefore it's difficult to organize any kind of pvp tournament for lowbies. Jerc, looking forward to seeing some of your guildies in this
  23. Hey everybody! [uPDATED] We have 25 combatants signed up so far, leaving 5 spaces for any late entrants. Send me the entry fee (to Selene'Athena imperial side or Keira'Athena republic side) to reserve your spot by 8 PM EST today! Last minute entries *may* be available at the competition itself. List of entrants so far: Akeba Animosity Asami Bay Bromontana Dashto Dominance Fenriswolf Gaulrik Iotasquared Iya-zion Lamech Merope Nocturnal Panopticus Pebkac Quil'xin'coa Rytan Sadisticus Siofra Tarnisae Trajen Vaul'akar'tazin Vindre Yami
  24. Sign up nao or Bromontana will make more awfully photoshopped, low quality promotional posters that hurt your eyes!
  25. Signups are open! Send an in-game mail with the entry fee to Selene'Athena (empire) or Keira'Athena (republic) to enter! We're also looking for a couple volunteers to help with rezzes and monitor the fights. Send me a mail if you're interested.
