  1. thanks, but i have to say being healer is its own reward. i couldn't care lass about medals or what ever. I like challenging goals, and my goal is that no one dies in my area. anything less is heal fail. but its a lot of fun trying plus, i get to feel important when half the enemy is trying to kill me at the same time
  2. i dont understand pvp quitters. if the battle is going badly, then just have fun with it, or relish the challenge. people treat the warzones like a financial investment where they need to cut their losses if things look bad. i guess the internet is serious business
  3. you just need to find a better server. or try PVP HM and educate your PUGs!
  4. I wouldn't mind no rez overtime. stealthers would not be a huge problem. if it came down to one stealth guy on each team, someone would go for the ball and try to score. You would have to watch for trolls, i guess. two guys could just sit and stare at each other until everyone quits...
  5. first of all, never use yellow text. or any color but the defualt. it makes you seem like an ***. TOR is not an built for exploration and discovery, so the datacrons prompt and justify a bit of exploration. they give a bit of purpose to otherwise random jumping and justify the OCD corner checkers
  6. there are two types of mmo players. there are those who jump into a new game once in a while and commit to that game for a good while. And there are those who jump into to a game, max out all content in two months, then move on to the next mmo. if enough people commit to an mmo, it will survive long enough to bring back the dabblers and content locusts. i'm in for the long haul, and i think this game can survive the post-release blues.
  7. I think the op is right, though i hate to admit it. SWG is a great example of how RP should be, a kind of natural rp that everyone participated in with out being totally aware of it. The empire was out numbered, but very organized and comprised totally of ******es. The rebellion was numerous but basically a disorganized mob. each side hated the other, and it took no prompting or understanding of star wars lore. you just had to play the game for a few months and you would develop some very strong opinions. everyone was in character, and you complained about the opposing side accordingly. this game doesn't bring that. there is limited contact btw factions, so there is limited drama, and therefor limited rp. and you really have to force what rp there is, which ruins it. to be fair, very few MMOs can achieve a good natural rp setting
  8. hey where do you keep the spoons? in the left cabinet what? that makes no sense! please use cardinal directions, as that is the only way to determine an object's location. please go back the third grade, clearly you don't understand. ... get out of my house
  9. this is what i thought. i always say right/left, because i figure only morons would always look to their immediate left/right. its seems obvious that it would be left/right in relation to your spawn. further, the left/right carries for all maps, where as east/west only seems viable on voidstar. all i know is that I've been saying right/left since the start, and i have never had a problem. i wasn't even aware of a controversy until i started coming to the forums.
  10. I could be mistaken, but there is no compass on the map. so the north/south distinction is arbitrary. on voidstar, i guess you can assume that the offence spawn is the south, but that is an assumption, and i could just as easily assume the opposite. for the other maps, there is no reason i can tell to assume one side as north over the other. this is why everyone defaults to right/left of the spawn location. the maps are simple, and you can never be confused unless you try and over complicate with an assumed cardinal direction. tl;dr how do you know which way is north?
