  1. hate to be that guy, but it's hard to read a post when the grammar and spelling are absolutely atrocious. If English is your second language it's understandable, but if it's your first..... basic grammar is your friend man. secondly, a lot of your post isn't facts, it's opinions. (I personally could care less that rakata, tionese, and battlemaster gear were scrapped, only the battlemaster gear looked cool and the restrictions made it so most non-pvpers would never get it.) 2.0 wasn't great, but the core gamers were long gone before that patch dropped. Revan was light on content but it made improvements, and while KoTFE is lacking in new pvp and raids, there's enough to do (at the moment) to tide at least me over until the next couple of chapters. tl:dr version: it's a matter of opinion, your feelings on the matter are not fact, nor are mine, they are opinions that hold almost zero sway over fellow forum dwellers. edit: I see your signature is in German, so I'm assuming English is your second language. In that case, ignore first part of post.
  2. Alright I'll bite. I understand the desire to have a certain name- to an extent. I personally have 2 names I name every one of my two mains. That being said, if it's an original name that has significance ONLY to you the probability is it's not going to be taken. If, like the OP, you like pop-culture names or puns for names then yes, you're more than likely going to be fighting hundreds or thousands for that name. In this case, even with a name purge, you are probably STILL going to miss out on the name, then be right back here crying about how "you didn't get the name" I personally don't understand the desire to take names like "Revan, Vader, or Bastila" but far be it from me to judge those who like the names. Just understand that it's a lot of work, with very little positives that come out of it. (in other words, you name purge, piss off a lot of people that MAY or MAY NOT come back, to please one person, while everyone else that requested said name change cries they didn't get Revan, Bioware cannot win in that scenario.)
  3. Really once you get any classes rotation down, it's not hard to "play the class". Now some classes have easier rotations (sorcs) than others, but I've found that while lemmings as someone put it can post high numbers on sorcs (although I can argue that they can do that with any class) most are a detriment in one of two ways: 1.) situational awareness- or in other words, they will focus single mindedly on either the dps they're "dueling" while the enemy healer is free to cast, or they will stand idly by while a stealth class caps the node behind them. 2.) they don't play the objective- they will run around in mid trying to farm either kills or numbers, they won't set up passing lanes, don't try to collect orbs or stop enemies from collecting them, or they won't guard healers or heal a tank guarding them. now as to whether a class is "OP", I don't think any one class is OP. I've found a good player can outplay the "lemmings" above 9/10 times (the 10th time being either a 2 on 1 or a "kill steal" after a rough fight) and that two players who know their class, the cd's, and the environment can have a long stalemate until either help arrives or someone makes a mistake.
  4. Bioware has brilliantly redesigned the game into a single player game with *just* enough mmo filler to be able to tide over at least a majority of the masses until the next installment of the story. In fact, I would guess that the people who left after the story will come back, because despite it's other flaws, it IS a rather compelling story. (I at least am eagerly awaiting the next installment) that being said, Bioware has put a band-aid on a laceration, it's not making the game any better in terms of MMO updates, but it has essentially turned SWTOR into a subscription based single player game (which I have to admit, is quite brilliant from a marketing standpoint, give the man who thought that up a promotion) that you can talk to "friends" in, because let's face it, you don't quest with friends, and there's no real group content this expac launch.
  5. It all depends on the armor I'm wearing. My corruption sorc has the black-green crystal to match her black-green outfit. If she switches to dps, it's a gold core crystal to match her yellowish-orange outfit. Warrior has red to match red outfit, and JK has white to match his white outfit.
  6. If you focus the healer with two dps and interrupt, no amount of protection will save that healer, or, on the off chance it's extremely skilled players and a stong healing/tank class combo, they won't be able to heal the other players while your team picks off the dps. I'm sorry, but I don't think a single dps should be able to put pressure on a healer being guarded by a tank, or even just a healer without using their cooldowns.
  7. Well, now I want a mount option that has a random guy in a frogdog/rotworm jersey carrying me around on his back. Maybe the flourish can be him crying for relief.
  8. I have several ideas floating around that I think may warrant some thought:
  9. If you do go, I would NOT recommend Archage. While it had great potential, the sheer amount of bots and hackers and gold spammers have completely ruined the game. Also, since you seem to be focusing on pve, Archeage has little, and it's a gankfest out there. Your enemies, Allies, and even guildmates can kill you and take tradepacks (main way to make gold) If you enjoy pvp it was fun until the botters and Hackers ran rampant while Trion can't (or won't) do anything to stop them. as to GW2, can't say, haven't played it since it launched, it under performed for me. Still, wish you the best
  10. Actually, Legolas is the son of Thranduil of Mirkwood, so he's not actually from Lorien, he grew up in mirkwood. However, his father is from Lindon, which would make Legolas a grey elf
  11. The damage isn't so much the issue as the AOE part is. it simply did too much damage to too many players. It is easy to set up, hard to heal through, and mass groups of smashers just compounded the issue. that's why people screamed nerf, not so much the 6k+ hits (which most classes can also do)
  12. I have a corruption sorc, and a jugg (specced smash) and I can safely say, without a doubt, that smash is the most OP thing to plague mmos in a long time. the issue is the aoe. I can literally press 3 buttons (leap, choke, and smash) and put up crazy aoe numbers. does that make me good? absolutely not. However, absolutely crushing numerous people around me with no effort or skill is a serious issue. anyone who says otherwise is either deluded, in denial, or just plain bad.
  13. I'd have to give the battle to G0-T0. HK-50 droids would be perfect for guerrilla warfare, which is extremely hard to beat by conventional military means (look at Vietnam war, Afghan war against USSR) which gives G0-T0 the edge on the military aspect. not to mention his anonymity, which would give him an edge in the spy game as well. and the last thing going for him is he's a droid. he can't be taunted, angered, or otherwise give into emotions that Tyber Zann would be susceptible to. I'd say G0-T0 is the victor of a long drawn out war.
  14. Shouldn't it be Tsucad? The Starwars Universe compiled and dispensed?
  15. well, considering he betrayed Revan, I'd say he was nerdraging a bit.
