Hello everyone. I've recently tried to fix my performance issues which caused SWTOR to run like a drunken hobo. So i did a trackback what might have been the cause of my FPS woes, and surprisingly enough, I've managed to smoothen the wheels of my gaming rig. What did I do to Fix my FPS? Here's my general guide... Find out what chips your mobo (your motherboard) uses. In my case: I have a mobo from Asus. The amazing Crosshair IV Formula (Link) Normally, you would have downloaded the drivers from the vendor you bought your mobo... this is a HUGE MISTAKE people! Every driver on this page is out-dated (except for the bios), so where can we find the most up to date drivers for our NIC, Audio, Raid controller and chipset? Check the specs and google each one of the chip manufacturers. They will have the most recent version, which in tun might turn the tables around for you. It worked for me, and I wan't to know if this worked for you guys. Please report back in this thread.

Is it unreasonable of me to expect social stuff to be added to an MMORPG? REALLY? Most if not few of the tings the OP had in his list should have been in the game since release, if we are to follow what is labeled as standard features for a game to be called MMO.

The chairs in the SWTOR universe needs our love and attention! But sadly, EABioWare are too ashamed of themselves and won't do it, because it would look bad PR wise. But everyone does mistakes, we understand BW. So please, don't be ashamed and whip your team to get working on it ASAP! Vote for usable CHAIRS! They have longed for our buts long enough (lol that sounds so wrong).

Yeah and SWTOR lacks that fluff. The single player feature dominates almost everything else in this game, which is REALLY BAD.

Have you lived under a rock these past 8 years? WoW has the must subscribers in the entire mmo scene (Paying customers, runescape not included).

What separates SWTOR from WoW is that it's about orcs and elves. What makes wow so nice to play is the features it has and how stable the game is compared to SWTOR. I stopped playing wow last week because blizzard mentality is "raid or die". I might continue playing WoW if they implemented 10 mans in LFR WITHOUT the nerfs. Some people, like me, got weird work hours and can't dedicate themselves to a guild, which mostly raid at hours when I work. If they added some of the features that wow has and fix the mirage of bugs and performance issues (client and server), I would be pretty happy overall. However, I would like to see more emotes, mini games like pazaak and addons. It's small things like these that kept me hooked to wow, and probably would hook me more to swtor. But the ultimate killer for me is the class story. If they don't have any plans to expand this then I'm going to stop playing because that is what I enjoy the most in this game.

Naw, the SW universe is not going to work in the MMO space, ever.

The reason why this game is loosing subs is because they focused too much on story and not enough on other elements that MMO's have (emotes, intractable objects, mini games, exploration). Not to mention the amount of bugs (some of which has been since BETA), and servers that keeps crashing and lagging people off the game world. EA / BioWare believe that people are poor and the sole reason why they lost people, but this is not the case. Your game is lacking soul. Your customer service is horrible and you only talk once it has been approved by the PR department.

I agree with you OP... that's why I'm quitting this game (if most of this is not fixed) before ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE get's released.
