  1. A small change I would like to see if deeper voices for the larger body types and maybe a slightly higher voice for the smaller guy. I'm not suggesting new voice overs but change the ones you already have to be deeper or higher. Hopefully there would be a way to alter it when playing rather than creating a whole new set of sound files otherwise this idea is useless.
  2. I agree with you, much of this could've been avoided if they had different names.
  3. This may sound ridiculous and unrelated but as a parent if I tell my child that they can't do something but then later let them do it, I sacrifice my integrity as a parent. Bioware is in a similar situation. They stated that advanced classes are permanent and if they go back on that it will create havoc among the players. People will disobey them, talk back, steal the car late at night and bring it back with dents all in it - there will be pandemonium!
  4. Yeah they share the same storyline but that makes up 5-10% of the quests that you get. It's more about the definition of Class rather than sharing a series of quests. People keep using this example because to us, you're asking to switch classes.
  5. Hehe, that would be cool wouldn't it. Designers could just sit around all day a plan for wickedly awesome stuff to add to the game. I always wanted to see a split in the storyline that allows you to fall to the darkside or redeem yourself. I'm sure Bioware love to be able to give us all these wonderful options but time and money leads to compromises. When I first read about the game, I thought it was silly that they did not allow AC respecs. After playing the game for a while and experiencing the different classes I can understand why they didn't and I've come to respect that. Sometimes we have to compromise our wants, even Bioware. They probably wanted to give us 16 full storylines but instead they was only able to make 8. How can we ask them to compromise again to give us AC respecs? As far as we know they may be planning to add 16 storylines (one for each advanced class) in future expansions.
  6. Because Advanced Classes are the classes. If you give players the ability to respec then you reduce the available classes from 8 to 4 (per faction). Practically every class can DPS, tank or heal. Right limitations... I wouldn't be bothered with a one time switch before 15, and I'm compromising. I'd rather see them give us a free level 10 of the same class (AoC and a few others offered this type of system and it was cool IMO).
  7. If they was so different, why are they both called sith!? I wanted to play a sith and I'm entitled to request a respec to any of the sith characters they have available.
  8. I'd rather see a boost in levels to another character of the same class. Have you played no other MMO and realized you rolled the wrong class? My first time in WoW, everyone was telling me I should roll a paladin. After about 30 levels I realized I just didn't like that class yet I couldn't ask Blizzard to switch him to a Priest or a Warrior could I? It's about perception. Yes they share the same class storylines but only because of the budget. In all intentions these are separate classes and if Bioware gives on this they could jeopardize the integrity of their class system... but that's just my opinion. It does suck playing a character you don't like and I do sympathize.
  9. IMO Inquisitors and Warriors are as equal as assassins and sorcerers. If you guys get to respec advanced class, I'd like to switch to a warrior. They both are siths are they not? It seems only fair considering the core of this disagreement is the misinterpretation of how SWTOR class system works. You guys feel that Assassins and Sorcerers are the same, likewise I'd like to argue that Inquisitors and Warriors are just as similar and should have the same options.
  10. I also want to respec my inquisitor to a warrior... or wait, even better can I just make him a jedi knight!?
  11. How about the option to just swap out the orange base (appearance) of an item. Swap it out for a cost and add any of the other item's previous stats, slots and mods to that item. We get to customize appearance and we get to keep the same system.
  12. They aren't basically just specs. You can't define mechanics how you wish and demand a choice. You are asking them to change something that goes against the way the game is designed and say that you're entitled to a switch because how you define specs? You're talking about 3 different trees, this isn't just a skill reset. They did this to conserve the story, voicing, and try to save some on the millions they where already spending. You want them to compromise the integrity of their class system because you rolled the wrong class?
  13. But you can't just create switch classes anytime you'd want, can we also switch between a warrior and inquisitor? On some servers making another 50 is the problem. What if we could do this with other servers or different factions. I'm not saying you can't want what you want, but what compromises can you offer?
  14. Instead of respec'n advanced class, would the pro-respec'rs support Bioware giving them experience for a second character? For instanced, after you finish certain storyline quests around level 10, 25, and 40 - you can then promote a character (same class) up to those points.
  15. I was thinking of something similar. I believe it breaks immersion to instantly slap a group inside an instance. Deep down inside players miss traveling to their destination. * Must stay in certain areas like; fleet, space stations, major cities, or your ship - for faster travel options. * No instant group, build it as they come. * Give us more stuff to do while we wait. In relation to your idea, I feel groups should be automatically made. Players are sent an 'accept' window and then are put in the group as they are fount. In some cases two players w/companions can complete the objective. I think by limiting the areas would help increase travel time for the impatient and also create a social gathering.
  16. I do think they should be able to add a level at least once per month. AoC had a pretty decent system similar to this (as of other MMOs). We don't want to just give people free levels but they should earn it. Perhaps after you reach 50 with a class you can then bump ONE of your characters of the same class to 25. If we can get more people in mid levels, we'd have more people to do flashpoints with. On lower servers this would be a life saver. It's either this or de-bolster higher levels so they can do flashpoints with lowbies, have a challenge and earn social points (or legacy) instead of XP.
  17. Yeah, I think the system needs stipulations. More than anything I'm thinking it would help be a solution to those wanting to try both advanced classes but not do the whole story twice. It should make leveling the second character much faster. Legacy would be cool to tie into this but I'm also thinking it should be cross server/cross realm. These two options would help balance out server pop (giving pve/xp boosts to lower pop servers) and would help balance faction disparities (normally I wouldn't agree with this but it would be a decent solution).
  18. Instead of advanced class respec, why not give levels to alt of the same class. You would still would be able to experience both advanced class options, it just wouldn't be as easy as dropping a few credits. Make leveling a second character with the same class easier to level, but give them their own identity.
  19. Someone who makes sense. We should welcome something that will help people group up. You can't define a tool in which we have not seen how it works. It seems people are just copy/pasting wow's thing into SWTOR - and then freak out. Help me brainstorm of LFG, Flashpoint Finder systems that would work in SWTOR; http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=2289311#post2289311
  20. Yes to racing.... disputing implementation.
  21. In some ways yes, but you would have to earn what experience you give to your characters. It's also limited to class, so gaining a faster 50 of a different advance class would help satisfy the want to 'respec'.
  22. Aye, but they did it on AoC and it worked rather well. There would be a limit, once per week you could either create a new character at 10 or gain a level for a character of the same class. Adjust the availability but consider it an option. This could help to address people's wants to respec advanced class, help balance the factions, and increased mid level content.
  23. Would it be bold to say that includes the mirror class of the opposite faction. Encourage faction ratios to balance out. Earn points playing an advanced class to spend on levels for your other characters of the same class.
  24. Once you've completed the first planet, you can then create another character of that class and start at level 10, on fleet, and in front of your Advanced Class Trainer... on any server.
  25. A bolster and de-bolstering system would be neat. A high level could help on a lower dungeon with reduced stats and gain social points instead of xp.
