  1. Beyond Redemption is recruiting anyone active. We accept any level and only require you to be at least somewhat active. We have multiple ops teams. Main ops team is currently full and runs Sun/Mon/Thu. Our aussie ops team runs very early in the mornings server time. Casual ops team runs Tue/Wed/Fri/Sat for now. We have plans for more ops teams and PvP teams. beyond-redemption.enjin.com
  2. There are some things to know about SOA that make him much easier to tank. First is that the only mitigation that works on SOA is Armor. Armor reduces the damage he does from his main attack against the tank during phase 1 and 2. He will also do that attack in phase 3 but it is very rare and I can't actually figure out why he seems to randomly do it. This attack hurts someone with medium and especially light armor. Make your target armor at least 6800 for Nightmare. With over 6800 armor you will end up getting hit twice every time he casts his main attack for less than 3k each. When I tank I am in full DPS gear. SOA bypasses the shield with his main attack. I have never seen my Shield Generator go off during this fight. Assassin tanks have Dark Ward that increases shield proc chance by 15/20% and has 8 stacks. I watched it for an entire fight and I never saw it drop under 8 stacks. I can't honestly say if the lightning balls can proc the shield, but as an Assassin I have access to Force Shroud that resists all that damage including the boss damage as well. Tanking SOA in full DPS gear helps all round since you increase your DPS and threat generation. The faster you get through phase 2 the better your chances of downing him.
  3. All the survivability is very nice. All I know is that in full Tank gear people seem to get very annoyed when they attack me and realize I have 23k hp. I might take some time to kill them but they rarely hurt or get away from me.
  4. I can't speak to PvP since I have only ever done 1 Warzone. I do know in PvE the DPS output of a tank that is 31 into Darkness will do less overall DPS than someone else with equal gear with 31 into Deception/Madness. Darkness just increases your survivability at the cost of DPS output. When it comes to PvE I can do FPs BT, BP, Foundry as a 31/3/7 tank spec w/ a good healer. I will tank in my DPS gear and include my Shield and Shield Overcharger Relic (24% absorption to 53% when it goes off). I tank SOA in full DPS gear without the Shield/Relic (18311 hp). I have Columi Weapon/Wrists/Legs/Boots everything else is Rakata (18.6k hp). FL does a very nice amount of damage w/ Recklessness it can crit 4 times for around 1.7k each over 3s. The damage output alone turns me into an almost DPS. I would not feel comfortable doing that this without Dark Ward for the extra 15% shield chance. Although the heal from FL is lower than in my Tank gear it is still 12% of my total HP over 3s if I don't get stunned/knocked back. Including the increased chance for Dark Charge to go off is an extra 425 hp. 10% hp heal when you use Overcharge Saber plus the Dark Charge drops from every 4.5s to 1.5s while it is up.
  5. As an Assassin tank the AoE threat is totally there. 2 abilites on 10 and 15 second CD's that give a very good amount of threat. Might not be the best but it is not very hard to hold multiple enemies. A good example of that would be the first boss in BT light side. Only 1 that I have to worry about taunting is that sniper that doesn't seem to pay attention to threat anyways.
  6. Honestly I Off-Tank just fine when I put on Dark Charge no matter what spec I am in. It is just getting into Dark Charge that is the problem. Of course we will see what the new Operation will bring but for everything now there is no need for a tank specced off tank.
  7. I have seen it proc from anything. It even goes off when Force Lightning hits and I get the Dark Charge heal and the Harnessed Darkness heal at the same time.
  8. I actually just slowly killed him using the Fountain as cover so he couldn't complete a cast. Took like 25 minutes to kill him or at least it seemed like it took that long. I won then I got to do it all over again only the next time just took LONGER.
  9. Well more Willpower more DPS less time in combat quicker kills all that good stuff. More Endurance just means you have less of a chance of dying. Really it is up to you how fast you want to kill stuff. You will kill stuff faster if you up your Willpower and in turn up your DPS.
  10. Fact of the matter is that it does not heal for 400. It heals for 3% of your total health every time damage ticks. 4 ticks total = 12% total hp if you can cast the whole time. That is really actually quite nice even before you include the 75% increased damage to Force Lightning that turns it into a nice bit a threat. This is the only reason I am able to solo Old Enemies. If I didn't have this 1 skill from the skill tree it would be almost impossible to solo Lord Raxxus for me.
  11. The other 1 is supposed to be Blue Blue Blue but it gives Aim instead of Willpower. It should technically be the tanking relic but it doesn't give any stats worth having for an Assassin ATM. There are supposed to be 8 different Matrix Cubes from what I understand. 2 for each class. Force users get different Matrix Cubes than Non-Force users. Level 50 cubes Force Users: Yellow Yellow Yellow = 52 Strength, 60 Endurance, 18 Defense (M7-Y3) Green Green Green = 58 Strength, 50 Endurance, 24 Crit (M7-G3) Red Red Red = 58 Willpower, 50 Endurance, 24 Crit (M7-R3) Blue Blue Blue = 58 Aim, 50 Endurance, 24 Crit (probably broken) Level 50 cubes Tech Users Yellow Yellow Yellow = 52 Aim, 60 Endurance, 18 Defense Green Green Green = 58 Strength, 50 Endurance, 28 Crit (M7-G0). (probably broken) Red Red Red = 48 Endurance, 72 Cunning, 7 Crit Blue Blue Blue = 58 Aim, 50 Endurance, 24 Crit (M7-B3)
  12. My Sith Assassin stats are as follows. These stats are taken while completely unbuffed except for Dark Charge. 23317 HP Unbuffed 43.04% Damage Reduction 24.76% Defense Chance 33.49% Shield Chance (add 20% to that on average because of Dark Ward and 2 piece set bonus) 42.79% Shield Absorption (when my Relic goes off put that up to about 61%ish) This isn't exactly a fair example since I am in almost 100% Rakata gear (except for 1 lvl 56 enhancement in my Slave Girl Top) and Columi ear/implants with End Augments in all 3.
  13. As a Sith Assassin Tank I have tanked every fight so far. I haven't found any fight that would be better suited for another tank outside of a pure ranged fight like the 2 turrets for the first pull of EV. Doesn't mean I can't tank a turret I just can't tank a turret as well as a Powertech or even Jug since they can charge. Most fights are very strait forward when it comes to tanking. Keep mitigation up and reduce damage as much as possible. The only fight that really challenges this is SOA. On SOA I just tank in DPS gear with Dark Charge up. The only thing that reduced the damage he does to you is Armor. Your shield will never go off and reduce damage taken from him. The person with the highest armor would be the 1 taking the least direct damage from SOA. Powertechs seem to be able to get well over 7k Armor and I am still at 6917 in tank gear (and that is all with 140 rating Armorings). Jugs can get high armor too since they wear heavy armor but their tanking stance adds 60% armor if I remember correctly.
  14. My Sith Assassin has 25.5k hp buffed with a very reasonable amount of mitigation. With a force pull and many other useful abilities depending on the situation. When in my DPS gear I can put up a nice amount of damage even while in tank spec even though I still think Madness/Deception still have more damage output than Darkness.
  15. I didn't bother to read all the posts since I am just to lazy for that. Even though it was weekend betas. I got through all of the class quests on my Sith Inquisitor (Assassin) solo with very few complications all the way through the 1st act (which ends around lvl 30). I didn't really have to many problems aside from having to adjust my strategy usually on the fly to take down an opponent that was tougher than expected. There are some parts of the quest chains that are harder than I would have thought but weren't impossible at the required level. I noticed the same through the quest chains on Korriban/Hutta and Dormund Kaas. I leveled completely through both worlds solo as Sith Assassin and Imp Agent only grouping to finish off the heroic group quests.
