  1. Indeed Jimbe, thats the main point here I think. An issue should not be rated on how demanding it should be or judged on priority status, but merely - why was this not implemented from the beginning ? That is something more puzzling than the process of placing it in a city or in game while levelling, while all other games understand the basic-simplicity of this important concept. While I understand many issues need and have been addressed, what is preventing Bioware from this installment is something I probably will never understand. Why does James Ohlen have to wait till we demand this feature to put it in ? we shouldn't have to demand anything. We can surely discuss this in a professional manner - as my last thread about this issue was closed because it was too demanding being in "petition-format". Regardless, I have remained respectful about this for the most part, as I encourage anyone here to check my previous posts for thought, detail, respect, diplomacy and concern, or lack there of. I think we deserve either an explanation for this soon, or a full installment of postcreation character editing via barbershop. Note : Please, for new posters that are just eager to respond about the importance of this subject, I ask that you read from the beginning of this thread (especially pages 6-10) to get an idea before commenting. Thanks to those who have contributed their thoughts to this subject, it means alot, and this will be my final post on this matter for quite some time, Voss, //Pacerfederation
  2. Niklas, I appreciate your concern. The key phrase you menioned - is "saving time". We all would like to save time, if possible, or if allowed. When it comes to MMO's every player deals with their own class priorities, and spec's a particular way, and fights different challenges and key characters involving storylines, but one thing we all fight together on a consistent basis is "time".
  3. Anybody else want this ? I havn't forgotten. And I certainly hope it gets installed before more people realize the restriction of not being able to modify your appearance beyond swapping gear on and off. And priorities should be to provide this availability, as I expected it to be apart of this great game. Perhaps - I'm the only one who demands this or thought it would be standard like most MMO's. Perhaps I'm way out of line on this, and should not expect anything that is just plainly "cosmetic"or purposeful like the default eye wear that blind race - Miraluka comes with in the game. .. I think its just, not to be rude, preposterous - that you cannot change the mask or eyewear for this race (Miraluka) after a few levels - No one in any game or real life wears the same pair of glasses, or that cloth over the face for an indefinite period of time. This is just one example. All were asking for Bioware, is this small - petty, insignificant update, upgrade, shop, vendor - I don't care how - but please - is it too much to ask for ?
  4. what makes this less important ? it is very easy to implement. This is what makes this unacceptable to players of SWTOR. Not having this has disabled my gametime. I do not wish to reroll my character to change my beard ! I'm disappointed with Bioware and would like them to put this customization in the game - whether it be a barbershop or a vendor or something similar, that allows players to change their facial appearance while levelling up, because thats what other games have and we do this in real life. What if we made a mistake from the creation screen - or do not like the selection we chose - there is no way to erase this or modify this occurence.
  5. Not until they put the barbershop (post-creation customization) in first.
  6. Yes, Race-Specific is good, they should just admit they didn't spend much time with this part of the game - they didn't realize that we are stuck with these selections and a lack of variety makes it difficult to find something unique and personal to you. I noticed the borg race hair cuts are exact same to human - which borgs shouldn't really have hair at all. Why not be more creative and have cables or implants on the head instead of hair - I think star trek did a good job of dressing their borg race.
  7. Nothing is worse - when you have a face you didn't want or a look you accidentally picked and you get to level 12 without noticing it - and you see a different character than what you originally wanted. Armor is small talk - that at least serves a function - I could care less what my armor looks like - as long as it does dmg and keeps me alive !
  8. I picked a hairstyle at the beginning of the game and found out my look is all wrong - I'm level 12 - what do I do ?
  9. What needs to happen ? - there have been many issues throught this thread, alot want gear modifications, whereas - myself want facial appearance modifications that are available only at the start of the game. The mods here on the forums are looking for detailed responses.
  10. Its not just a lack of red hats and blue hats. I appreciate your academic response, and I see no need to correct your thoughts or opinions. But the fact of the matter is everything in the creation screen before you actually touch surface should be offered throughout gameplay. Modifications happen during progress of the game, to have your look or appearance set in stone and never to be altered ever again. This is quite bothersome and you loose connection to be free and express yourself on a whole new level. Just deprivation I think for lack of a better word.
  11. Zeb - your a champ ! you have fulfilled your promise in continuing support for this change, people like you keep me on these forums.
  12. I as well recently cancelled my subscription because there is no barbershop to correct my facial features and hair style - and just LACK of Selection. And like the quote above - will renew if this gets put into the game. I'm not mad, or upset - there is no need for that, but disappointed would be the word - If I'm paying 15/m - I want it to count. I know Bioware is capable of this and much much more. I didn't worry about it at first - because I automatically assumed I could change my look at local cantina or vendor of some kind. Like in LOTRO, or other popular MMO's. I can appreciate Bioware's Hard Work and Effort - but sometimes when you work so very hard at something - you can miss such a minor minor small and seemingly insignificant detail that could make a WORLD of Difference for Character Connection - and Immersive Gameplay Experience is missing. I don't feel my character I recently made is my own personal character - but constrained as a prisoner to a small selection only offered at the character creation screen. With respect, Vosspacer
  13. Now, we should find out what cities they could add shops or vendors like these - obviously on your default starting world - in the beginning would be almost absolutely necessary. But having this social aspect would bring a more immersive game experience.
  14. What is advanced about a barbershop or changing your beard ? you change an inf file ? It's alot less complicated than the other stuff that has been mentioned so far.
  15. This was a striking comment from a user on a thread related to this one, that just got closed for being too much a petition and not a discussion. I thought I share it because - it seems that this issue needs to be addressed. We are the ones playing this game not our companions. Add Character Customization (edit facial appearance) Vendors - Buy and Sell different Hair-Styles, Masks, Eye Wear, Tattoos Dye - For Gear - changing the coloring scheme of your equipment Alter the 40 + Facial Skin Complexions and convert it to Different Hair-Styles, Tattoos Masks, etc that can be edited for a fee of penalty throughout the game at any time the player wishes. Add a player profession that can change the look of armor, appearance and facial accessories I support this change, James Ohlen has said - he doesn't wish to add it soon, but if we demand it - he will put it in ! Well what are we waiting for everyone ?
