  1. Wow, you really need to watch & understand the movies again. Obi-Wan sacrificed himself to save the others. The last thing I would call Obi-Wan is a coward. It takes balls to just stand there & begin a meditative state when a dark lord is standing right in front of you.
  2. That & this game has been in production for a very very very long time. So yeah this was probably in the "good idea" time period.
  3. Naboo, the grassy fields & wildlife is something I could never turn up. I RP most of my toons where born there. ^.^
  4. Yes but SWG had no where near as many servers. It was much more compact. Because it was compacted like that there was much more interaction with the other players. You really cannot compare the two games in this way. TOR is much more spread out, I think they need to cut some servers tbh.
  5. It wasn't good? So SOE kept this game open for 8 years why then exactly? SWG had a booming population right up until 2010'ish. (Discounting the NGE incident) TOR has been out for under 4 months & it is looking like SWG was at the end already. In some servers you're lucky to get anyone to talk to you in chat, let alone get a group going. SWG always had that fun, outlandish community that I'm not sure TOR is going to have. SWG had so much you can do there was never a dull moment. You could go grind holos, krayts or what have you. Or if you didn't feel like doing that, go have a chat with an ent in the Eisley Cantina. Tbh, if SWG opened free or not I would go back to it. I would still play TOR, but TOR is no where near a substitute for SWG.. not yet at least.
  6. Eh, I'd like to hear the Alderan one tbh. Remember this is like 7000 years before anything to do with Darth Vader. Alderan is not yet destroyed by the Death Star. Invaded by the Empire yes, but not destroyed.
  7. Hi, I was thinking & I thought of an ok one... How it has the planet population up in the top left hand side? Have next to that the overall server population. For example: Tython: 5 players. - Paragus mining facil: 500 players.
  8. Yeah, I love the mod system more then I can speak words for. You can have any peice of clothing you want, make your character look exactly how you wanted it to. It's absolutely brilliant!
  9. Yeah, I'm only new to the game, but I can tell you now... SWTOR is not even 4 months old.. SWG lasted 8 years & only on the last two years did it have a server population like TOR is now. My message to George Lucas is: I hope it was worth it to you to close a time tested, loved & brilliant game. For a newer RPG game with a multi-player function, that looks like it will only last a few years before it no longer proves to be profitable to keep the servers running. Please don't get me wrong, I LOVE the game. But I wish BW & SOE could have teamed up & had two MMOs running at once. One has the RPG feel, & the other has the old strong multi-player community. For example today I was grinding away, & someone asked in the chat if anyone wanted to do a heroic... There where 20 people on Coruscant, not one even said "Nah thanks."
  10. Lol completely agree. It has it's bugs but what game doesn't, it's starting to pee me off that the server I have dedicated myself to is starting to die off at the times I play. There is no-one to talk to, no-one to share the experience with. If only SWTOR was launched in AUS at the same time as the rest of the damn world, I'd have done anything to be in that first server startup & just see hundreds of other players starting off an experience of a lifetime. Something we have all waited years for is finally here. Yet the experience for me is not what I wanted. I love the game but it seems more like KOTOR 3 (I know I've said that on like every topic for the past 3 days). It's not got a real pazaz factor that it would have, if only there where more players. Bioware told us to populate the smaller servers, now those smaller servers are exactly that. A small server with no community to do anything with. Hell from what I've been reading it's the same just about everywhere else. I live by the moto "Do it right or don't bother" but saying that Bioware can't spend a year making ONE story. & tbh all of the stories I've seen go by the same freakin template.. : Kill someone.. Loot some special security document.. "Oh noes he copied it, we must travel to the ends of the universe to track down these files." "Yay you did it! You get a cookie.... now what..?" Random dribble over, time for sleep.
  11. Whether the colour unobtainable for the Jedi be green or purple, it is still a crystal colour that is in the game, & should be obtainable to those whom seek it! Bioware.. I'm sick of the imp favouritism, (IMO) SWG had the same problem, the Empire had most of the goodies & the Rebellion was left out in the cold just a bit. I know SWTOR is not SWG, but SWG was shut down because of SWTOR. So I think Bioware needs to do more to fill some of the gaps that SOE left open. They have such a time period they can do so much with, I personally don't see why they are not really doing much more to keep people playing. I mean the game has been out for barely three months, yet most of the server populations are the same density as SWG's where when that was beginning to die. It's the little things that people want, "Boo hoo it's just a colour, get over it!" yeah well what if your favourite colour was yellow & they left that out of the game? Either way it should be obtainable to the greater public of the game. IMO purple is a colour for both sides of the force, I see it having no real bias between light or evil.
  12. One thing that is completely destroying my game experience... is that I've had the game for just under a week... & the server me & my mates are on, I've probably come across about 40 people since I started. Bioware needs to get the attention back they've lost in 2 months. Or more people will find, like myself, that when there is no other players around to share the experience... it just feels like KOTOR 3 & it kinda stops you from playing.
  13. It's not happened to me YET. However I've wondered about something like that with how things respawn / reset. I totally agree though, if that happened to me I'd be quite pissed off. Lets just hug it out.. <3
  14. Yeah, my personal strategy is take as long as possible to reach 50. So I always have somethign to do. But my main is level 17 & I'm starting to get bored, all the missions are the same. Go kill that guy, loot his monay & come back. So doing this is risky for Bioware.
  15. IMO, I think SWTOR would be a 1985 Lincoln Towncar Limo - It's trying hard, perhaps too hard, to be a Cadillac. But it's just not quite there yet.
  16. I've not yet had too much experience with npc DOTs, but I would love to see some more terminal missions. I think some more moral missions should be added too. Like the one on Mantell, where you have two options to give the medicine to. & also add some more missions where there isn't 100% fighting (like the mission also on Mantell where you report in the soldiers gambling with refugee lives) perhaps, but give these missions a lesser xp gain. Love to be able to pick what battle ground I'm thrown into.
  17. Ok, thanks for the replies. I might stay sage for a bit, see if I can get it tuned to how I want. Again thanks all
  18. Ok, so if there was a tank sage, & a tank JK (either of the sub cats), same armour, same saber, same variables ect. Who is the better tank?
  19. Hey, I've played a bit on my Consular. But I'm noticing it's not quite my play type. I was wondering how JK was before I started on it, see if it's worth it. Some things I'm interested in finding out: * At what point do I get the armoured suit look shown in the first & third cinematic releases? * My play style is get in there, kill the thing & get out as quickly as possible. How well does the JK fit that? * What sort of healing does the JK have / is it any good? * How well does a JK tank? Basically that compared to a Consular. Atm I'm sage (probably not the best choice), from what I've seen there is no way of altering that. True or false?
  20. Noes, Brisbane needs one too.. <3
  21. Aedey

    Idea.

But that being said all of the body types are different heights. Like you could have started on type one, & then magically grow another 2 feet? That's just my views on it, but the more you can change the better I say. TOR needs more fiddly things to keep you entertained when you don't want to grind 24/7.

    Idea.

Ohaiz there. I was thinking, I saw the hair on my Consular & felt it might need a change. Idk about anyone else but I think some sort of Image Design, like on SWG, needs to be implemented. Perhaps pay a fee for what you want changed, like hair 500cred.. ect. Maybe keep it limited so that only the basics can be changed. So perhaps hair, beards.. things that you could easily change IRL. Just throwing it out there.
