Hi all, just a quick post. recently came back after quitting many months ago when 1.2 was deployed. after looking around and starting some new characters I must say I'm not impressed. nothing significant has been introduced game play wise. the only real new thing is the cash shop and crippled game play for non subs. from what I can tell pvp hasn't really changed either since my absence. good luck to you Bioware! once my sub runs out again in January I will not be renewing since all iI see is fluff and cash grabbing from you. I was expecting to see a lot more content at this point and will let my lapsed sub speak for me. Shadom
  2. Sub 50 PVP you should have a blast regardless of your chosen spec (Medicine, Conceal, Lethality). At level 50, the frustration will begin. Shadomen
  3. Pre-1.2 Operative healers were not bad. They just took a lot more work to be effective with them. If people were kicking Operative healers from raids due to class choice alone, it is a bad guild IMO. I main'd a operative healer since launch and have done quite well at healing in PVP and PVE with an end game raiding guild. Pre 1.2 I always thought operatives were one of the best healers in PVP due to the mobile nature of the class and how they heal. They couldnt put up the huge heal #'s AS EASILY as sorcs could since sorcs abuse the nub heal circle thing. Even so, I've beaten out sorcs and merc healers more often then not. Post 1.2, heal operatives really only got tweaks that made their energy management system a lot more user friendly. I do not see them as OP or as the premier healer for all cases. they just became a LOT easier to use for a lot of people. PVP is a joke right now because the damage is completely out of control, hence this why I have unsubbed. My role is not necessary and wasted space since having a geared DPS is much more valuable to WZ's than having a geared healer. I have enjoyed the ride as an operative healer but now the ride is over.   6. NO Unsubscribed after 1.2 went live and I had a chance to put in some PVP WZ grindage pre-made and solo. Shadomen
  7. Pre-50 you're probably fine. Post-50 you will have it tough. I havent tried hybrid since 1.2 went live but honestly spec'ing fully for heals and being in champion or better gear, healing is rough right now. I cant imagine how a hybrid build focused on heals would perform but if decently geared full healers cannot keep themselves or others alive I suspect hybrids will have an even harder time. Shadomen
  8. All of the above are bad. PVP is terrible now. before 1.2? Huttball because it was 80% of the games I played. We would always face the same teams (and same faction) there. Order now of fav to least? VoidStar --> Alderan --> New one --> Huttball. Shadomen

  10. 1. Change the expertise bonuses. Currently, +heals and damage reduction from other players has been tweaked too much. Before 1.2, the +damage, +heals, and damage reduction from other players was identical. Now it is skewed heavily in favor of DPS hence a factor leading to the gib fest. Make the numbers the same again. 2. Re-tweak the champion / centurion gear. Adding in recruit gear that has superior expertise is a slap in the face to people that earned champion gear. champ gear needs +20-30 expertise added per piece in order to fit in between battlemaster and recruit. Centurion could use +10-20 per piece. By adding recruit gear that anyone can buy at valor rank 1 that is arguably better (hands down better in the most important PVP stat), you have devalued the grind that your Champion/centurion players have made. 2. Add Cross Server PVP queues. facing the same teams (and same faction) over and over on huttball is unacceptable. 3. Tweak the healing situation further. MAke the changes in #1 and 2 but also re-evaluate the combination of adding buffs to damage to DPS classes that did not need it to the nerfing of healing classes. The state of affairs for healing in PVP is terrible. 1 v 1 of a healer against an equal geared DPS player is death for the healer most of the time. Healers are supposed to be durable and if they cannot survive even 1 person focusing on them, the game is broken. Currently your teams are better suited to bring an additional dps in place of a healer. 4. Add Open world PVP with meaning. This has been dangling on a carrot since well before launch. where is it? 5. Add more WZ's with varied gameplay. 6. Un-nerf the rewards for PVP. meaning add more $$$ rewards and dont penalize losing so harshly. Currently people quit the moment they think they will lose which definitely means their side will lose. Why is the weekly PVP reward identical to the daily? Why did you remove 1 of the weekly PVP quests? Shadomen
  11. haha 1.2 healers got punched in the gut. And you want to nerf operative/scoundrel healing? Good luck in PVP buddy when no one wants to heal. The state of the game is terrible in PVP for healers. Shadomen

  13. I have a few more reasons why PVP died in 1.2. 1. It is still a grind. 2. There is no REAL new content. It is still the same WZ's + a rehashed alderan. Where is Open World PVP? 3. No cross server PVP queues. I'm sick of fighting the same teams from the same faction in huttball 70% of the time. 4. It is still a grind (in case you missed #1). 5. 1.2 Ninja nerfed healers and damage reduction via expertise. The bonuses granted via expertise are lowered for + heal and damage reduction now. Combine this with buffs to many damage classes that did not need it and you have healers being liabilities almost to their teams since they can BARELY stay alive 1 v 1. If they get focused or ANYONE gets focused, they drop in record time. We're better off stacking marauders/sentinels now than having healers. 6. Champion/Centurion gear is terrible. They need 20-30 more expertise on each piece to be appropriate in place in between battlemaster and recruit gear. Recruit gear can be bought at valor rank 1 and has more expertise per piece than champ/centurion. Basically I feel like I personally ground for champ gear for nothing and will need to grind out battlemaster or beyond to stand a chance in pvp. Shadomen
  14. PVP is still pointless and meaningless. complete grind. I had high hopes that BW would introduce open world PVP (with meaning) and cross server PVP queues. neither made it in. Shadomen
