  1. I sadly fear the store might be the only thing safe. Bioware has already shown in the past they aren't afraid to give away "lookalike' items for the unique colors, such as what happened during the recent game event. (For people who don't know, the Razer SWTOR gear come with a "unique" color crystal. It's a green blade, black core. Which is Razer's logo colors. The problem is, they gave one that is maybe...one or two points off, and in some lighting can easily be MISTAKEN for being the same color, in the event. Therefor making some of us feel like the 'uniqueness' of the blade had been taken away. I'm done arguing about if the fact it was 2 points off from the same color is a valid excuse or not. Both Bioware and Razer sent me emails saying they'd get back to me on the color crystal issue, and 3 months later there is still NO answer. Further emails have been ignored. This just proves, 1 hex off? DIFFERENT COLOR. DIFFERENT ITEM. Which is a dangerous line to set with marketing. It makes me wonder if we'll start seeing minor retextures of the store armor and hear "it isn't the same armor") I'm sorry, but not everyone thinks like you. In my opinion, it IS a fix if it can manage to get people back into the game, and hell, it fixes the one problem I really had with the game. The fact I payed for the game but couldn't play the storyline portions if I didn't pay monthly? I call that a win. As for if its good for the player or not? What part isn't good? More people to play with, but they'll have restrictions if they don't sub. People who want to not be "second class" citizens, can pay for the game, people who are fine stay like that.
  2. Character transfer isn't the same thing as my server not being dead, we had a great community, and most people just quit or went to different servers I found out, few transferred. RIP Adraas
  3. Also would like to point out to the F2P haters, look how many people are online? I was online at prime time on Saturday night last weekend and the servers looked NOTHING like this. This is reinvigorating the game, and you know it.
  4. Ok, I bought the CE. I played since day one (unsubbed for 2 months due to disappointment in the Customer Support, resubbed this month to see if things are different. Found out my server was dead.) And now I'm wondering...please tell me the CE store will stay exclusive, along with the stupid crystal (that you already gave out a near look alike of) for the headset I bought Bioware. I know I sound like a spoiled brat, but with the few hundred dollars I spent on this game? Yeah, I feel entitled that's a few hundred dollars, not a pack of beer.. Also, am I the only one who figured..... http://i.imgur.com/n5LRh.png This, was happening this morning? Along with Jar Jar shouting "weesa free"?
  5. Waiting for my next flight, so I decided to check my email and this thread. I got two replies. One from Bioware, one from Razer. From Bioware. Dear ______, Thank you for your report regarding the Star Wars: The Old Republic community forums, and your concerns about the Green-black crystals available in-game. We have forwarded your issue to the community team. Rest assured that it will be investigated thoroughly. For future reference, we would ask that you please report all similar incidents directly to the community team at Communitysupport@swtor.com. Thanks again! Regards, Matt From Razer. Hi ________, Thanks for writing in, we’re looking at this matter and will get back to you shortly. Best regards, Ryan Chua Razer|Harbinger Marketing VP – Community Email: ryan@razerzone.com DID: +65 6505-2163 Just giving an update on the emails. Flight is about to come in so I won't be able to contribute (or just continue screaming and bashing heads) more.
  6. I wonder where the hell I'd put this if I won it...
  7. No...why does this have anything to do with the rest of the conversation? That isn't even a good comparison. Anyway, this will be my last post for tonight, and possibly the week. Going on a trip. Try not to get the thread closed by bioware guys! Might drop in at some point during my trip if I can get some stable interwebz.
  8. Sir, sir, can I ask you to calm down, SIR! PLEASE CALM DOWN. Ok, now that you're calm... 1. I'm assuming you've only seen the two screenshots I linked on the OP. These were the best we've gotten. There is one buried in here where you can't even tell the difference. Lighting and backgrounds DO affect the color. 2) Yes, but you get two. Your post suggested that you can obtain more then two, which isn't the case. You never said a thing about the upgrade. 3) yes, worth less, and devaluing the razer more. 4) Not going to respond, this one has been discussed to death already in the earlier pages. Stop fishing for comments please. A has been discussed, as has B. I don't appreciate you trying to rile people up.
  9. The word "desirable" needs to be dropped. No offence, but that makes it look like you think the crystal is some sort of "better then you" item, when its not, its simply suppose to be a unique item that stands out "We have the hardware". However, in this situation it also would fit, as one is suppose to fit with the theme, and as you said, the yellow-greenish color the current Razer has, does fit. Although, reasons for not changing the green-crystal are listed above, I'm still in favor of the idea. The fact they need to be distinctly different from each other? Is DEFINITELY a requirement if bioware wants to keep its Razer SWTOR hardware users happy. Or at least the vocal ones of us.
  10. 1 and 2) The crystsals aren't that far apart. In a large amount of lighting they appear the same. Hell, the razer crystal looks like the pre-order crystal in some parts of the fleet. (On low/very low shaders, not sure if that affects it.) 3. No, it isn't. We get 2 when we spawn and thats it actually. Just stating facts. 4. We have no idea how long this crystal will be around, or the event. Could be never ending for all we know. 6. Yes, BOE, and therefor making it easily spreading, and with the similarity between it and the Razer crystal? It is rather upsetting to some Razer players. To a player who isn't using one? I can understand why this might not be the easiest topic to sympathize with. However, I do ask you try to look at it through our eyes and perception. Agreed on that would be awesome, but by Darth Mar's balls, that would hurt the eyes like no tomorrow.
  11. We actually do have a suggestion thread going if you want to add to it. Although changing the Razer crystal is one of the suggestions. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=418005
  12. Last comment I'm going to derail the 'suggestion' theme with, but I have to ask it. Wouldn't that mean I could technically sue Mcdonalds if I don't get the happy meal toy they have on the sign, but the generic 'we ran out' toy? (Shuddup! I wanted the star wars toys ) Anyway, back to OT. Changing the new crystal to be a bit different might be the better situation then.
  13. The most common agreement if you look over the comments, if some form of change to one of the existing crystals to separate it from the Razer one. As it currently stands they are VERY easy to mistake. Which, takes away from the 'unique' factor of it. By no means should ANYONE in this thread be arrogant enough to think they'd get a refund, money, or some form of compensation. on their gear. The most extreme route I'd expect to see (and I say extreme HEAVILY.) would be another crystal, or even a title. That is not really what I want, nor expect, its just the most extreme I can see happening. Also, an apology for misleading sales text would be appreciated. Some of us do feel duped, and even if we are a minority, we do matter. Regardless of what people on the forums like to think, everyone does matter. This isn't like CCP, where our feelings mean nothing. (Kidding CCP, Love you guys.)
  14. Sadly it may be. Although, the legal case wouldn't stand up if they never designated what the color would be, would it? Regardless however, it may be a good idea to change the current one. The event is very 'horror' ish, and perhaps they should choose a different set of dark colors, instead of the 'infected' look. Its a theme, yes, but I doubt anyone would be opposed to say...black/purple? or that new Black/orange crystal? This entire situation is very delicate. They risk pissing off one group, or another.
  15. Email sent to that "cult" email address. Hopefully it will reach him.
  16. You are restating things that have been stated many times already. There have also been arguments, disagreements, and valid points made about that statement. Please, by all means, feel free to respond to them directly. However coming in and just saying "LOL NO ARGUMENT OVER" is, trolling. Its a very direct attempt to anger the people who have a passion for this specific issue. And if it's not? Well, you might want to study how social interaction works a bit.
  17. Doing that in a few, trying to find a place to park my bounty hunter so he doesn't get killed xP
  18. Please stop trolling this thread. This is for discussion of the issue, not to tell people "Lol so wut u got cryztal." As it stands a lot of Razer owners are uncomfortable with just how close the crystal is. Or atleast, thats what we seem to have come to so far.
  19. Just commented on his facebook! Hoping for a responce.
  20. Incorrectly automated. Mine told me to JUST "go to suggestions" and nothing more. I did this. I don't know how to contact their CEO but Razer's email was as follows. Hello _______, You can get the color crystal code as long as you have a SWTOR product. We have instructions on how to retrieve it on the SWTOR page at http://www.razerzone.com/swtor Please click "Unlock a Unique Color Crystal!" Your customer number is ********** Please refer to case #:: ******** if you have any further questions. If you need further assistance, you can also reach us online at http://www.razersupport.com. Please include all previous replies when/if responding to this message. Best Regards, Greg at Razer Technical Support support-us@razersupport.com
  21. Changing it to a different shade would still fall under the same advertisement. They said a unique crystal (and suggested color.) But never gave us the color combo. Granted, many like me researched the color before hand. Also, editing OP now I actually REALLY like this idea. It could look a little funky, but it would mach the logo, which is what everyone assumes the crystal would do, if its "unique" to Razer.
  22. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=4006144#post4006144 I have made a post in suggestions that is NOT designed to be discussion, but instead exactly what bioware wants, SUGGESTIONS on how to handle this issue. Please, anyone who actually wants to put a peaceful way, or back up my solution in the thread, I'd appreciate posting there As Bioware keeps telling us, "Suggestions!"
  23. Bioware, before you close this, please read this in full, this is not me just reposting into a different forum. This is a separate post and I personally do not think should be be relinked to the general and closed, as it is a suggestion post instead of, well, rage. First? My suggestion. Take the new crystal, and make it the current Razer color, then, take the current Razer color, and make it MUCH darker, something to fit the logo a bit more closely. (The current color is NOT A THING like Razer's logo coloring.) Now, why the disclaimer at the start? About a day ago I originally created a thread bringing attention to the "Green/black" crystal in the current world event (thread was named "Exclusive? Um...".) Now, originally I did not ticket bioware, email them, or email Razer. Since that time we have had a, well, lets call it a headed discussion in general chat. In said discussion we found that the two crystals VERY closely resemble each other, to the point is is currently alienating most of the vocal Razer owners. Also, we got responses, a few of us that is. Our response was to go to the suggestion forums. You closed all of these threads, also I've noticed, most of these threads weren't suggestions, as much as they were complaints. So, I'm creating this so we can have SUGGESTIONS to how to absolve the problem without alienating the new crystal owners, and the original Razer owners. If anyone else has some suggestions that don't lead in "Suck it up" I would love to hear them, but sadly. in the thread thats discussing the issue, there aren't many suggestions, just 'suck it up' or "REMOVE IT" posts.
  24. Thank you. Added Screenshot comparisons and the response to the front page, hopefully we'll get less people coming in and jumping the gun without knowing the full situation (as it has evolved.)
