  1. Clarification: I understand that there are big problems with all new games (especially MMOs), and that they may take time to sort through. I also understand that no developer in the world could live up the hype surrounding this game. The only thing I don't understand is that in my 40+ hours of forum hunting, troubleshooting, contacting the "customer service" and so on, why I never have seen any form of interest from BioWares side. Any kind of answer would be better than this, just "We know that many instances in the end-game does not work properly. Unfortunately, these issues take time to fix and we cannot promise anything." would be great. Right now, any form of contact with BW is equal to running head first into a stone wall. Could you please link some of those occasions where they've commented on the bugs? I'm serious, I havn't read a single word from them commenting these things. If it's true that they are actually prioritizing the PvE bugs, then all's well.
  2. Arrive at 50 and try to do some PvE action and you'll see where the hate comes from. And trust me, it's due.
  3. To make things clear: If BW would have made the effort to post in the thread about the launcher (other than generic stuff), I would be happy. If they would have responded to my mails in a way that made me actually believe they had read my mail (at least one of them) I would be happy. If they would have at least mentioned the issues that are currently in the end-game, not trying pretend they don't exist, I would be happy. Actually, if they would have given me the impression that they actually cared / listened / read what the customers were saying, I would be happy. I'm not.
  4. Dude, I played WoW for 4 years, from its EU release in -04 to the point where Blizz nerfed the game itself (made everything too easy). I played both PvP and at some periods PvE with the best raiding guild of the server. There has to be an estimate of >300 level 50s per "full" server by now. You're saying that those 300 people on each server should be ignored, being told to "just PvP" because PvE doesn't work? That's like telling a customer who has bought a new TV where only half the screen is showing an image to not complain and be satisfied. It would take a maximum of 2 weeks for the developers to fix these rather simple scripting issues. Even doing alternate fixes would work (eg. come up with a substitute if the real problem can't be solved quickly enough). My impression is that BW just doesn't give a **** about any of this.
  5. Frankly, I really can't comprehend what the focus has been of each patch. The situation right now is that half of the hard modes are bugged to the point that they're not playable at all, be it loot that is unaccessible, bosses that won't work properly (I know Revan is almighty, but 28k normal hits? Come on) or just general issues with a whole flashpoint. What you currently have to do is basically that you have to PvP to gear up for PvE in end-game. Just read that statement and tell me if it makes any sense at all. The hype was extremely big and impossible to live up to, I agree, but something as fundamental as PvE & PvP should really just work. Why plan and work on new content when half of the stuff that's currently in this game doesn't work? It's pretty funny too, during all my contact with the so called customer service the only response I've had has been generic replies. And believe me when I say I've been extremely patient, thorough and gentle describing all the issues I've had with this game (hence the rage you are reading). I was one of the users having the well-known issue with the launcher not installing the game. Having mailed 11 times in 2 weeks and posting on the forum gave me absolute jack ****. There was a thread with some >3000 posts in it, which was "removed due to post limit", which means they deleted the thread (along with all troubleshooting we the customers had provided), and made a new one. After that, no one bothered to pick it up again. I guess it was a success, because if no one's complaining, there's no problem right? The last straw was really when moderators made the decision to ban a certain very helpful and dedicated person from posting unofficial solutions (which actually helped some users). This sole customer did more for this game than any BW / LucasArts employee I've seen, and you ban him? Oh yeah, and what about the >3k people who paid for the game but are / were unable to play? I've never heard of anything but their subscription running out. Really, I didn't expect to see myself make this kind of post, but my hope is completely shattered. This game was released months before it was mature enough. As far as I can see, there hasn't been a single positive change to this game since the so called release. If you've endured my post and made it this far, there's just one more thing left. That help center entry about "What is there to do at level 50?", where the answer is "There's so much to do!", change that to "Enjoy leveling because when you reach 50, you will be in a world of ****". If pre-50 players knew what I know by now, half of them wouldn't think of 50 as the big goal, opening doors to the end-game content and all its joys. They would simply lie down and die and give up on this game, which surprises me that I havn't myself. kthxbai
  6. Maybe you should prioritize fixing all the bugs throughout the game instead of implementing new features?
  7. I honestly don't see why you would want to level as Shield. I've been adv proto for the first 37 levels of the game (11/28/2). Been tanking both FPs and HC4s without any problem at all. So there's no need at all to level as Shield, unless you're RPing.
