  1. hopping down to the right planet is a great tip. I wouldn't whisper anyone not already flagged as LFG using the /who tool though.
  2. worked fine for us earlier. though soa bugged all over the place. What happens when it bugs? how's the puzzle supposed to work? i didn't get to use a panel, i was healing.
  3. 12 or 1300 willpower. 48/49 crafted purps will get you there pretty easily. a few dailies, some decent item enhancements. a couple hard more drops. tbh it's more about basic competence than gear, and even more than that...you're fighting bugs more than mechanics. do the research on the fights, figure out the known trriggers for screwing things up, and you'll be fine. probably. if you aren't it most likely won't be bc of your gear.
  4. +1 i suggest we all link this thread into the Q&A thread, or copy/paste the OP to show our support for it. well organized, coherent, with good solid suggestions, i like it.
  5. you're tabbing through your party to get to a heal target? seems like that would be your biggest problem. may i suggest some keybinds?
  6. don't forget you're knock back as well, though it requires you getting closer, and watching for her Aoe, but if she's properly locked down, she;ll almost never get a cast off. for that matter, force storm pins her in place. just move then burn her.
  7. umm..you will reliably turn up a purple (or 4) when using the missions (the one shots that can be found or bought). the purple ones at least, blues return blues, purps return both. both have some extra stuff too. easiest way is to alt a slicer, otherwise be on top of them in the AH, and snag when you get the cheap option. Also, maxing your companions affection increases mission crit chance (not enough to help a lot, but some companions have base bonuses as well. +skill crit, not + skill efficiency. On the whole i find it's easier to work the market for the mat's i need, rather than try to grind them, but i also don't have a dedicated slicer anymore. your mileage may vary.
  8. if the 4th one is purple, you'll either need to crit, or use one of the one shot missions, you can buy from the AH.
  9. ok, but specifically what kind? all kinds? i don't remember getting more than one or two different mission types while levelling slicing before the nerf
  10. I know that i found some treasure hunting, and....investigation, i think when i was a slicer. But i dumped that right after the nerf and don't really remember what i was pulling. Where do all the rest of the blue and purple mission types come from? I can't seem to find this info anywhere, what skills produce what kinds, anyone able to help?
  11. you can get the starter mission for the bonus series from the belsavis orbital station at 48, i happened to snag it on my way offworld. guys standing in the hallway between the shuttle and ship hangars.
  12. i hope so. but i can't remember a single example of a game that got MORE difficult as it matured. Deeper we can hope for, with time, but...i was really hoping for more myself. i'm having fun, but then again i just started raiding last week. I imagine next month may look a little bleaker if we one shot through everything. Ah well, Hutt rich sounds like a good plan too.
  13. i healed my first hard mode 20 minutes after dinging 50. a mix of crafted epics and a couple blues. I then did three more the next day. Gear ain't ahrd to find, you just need to have a little more confidence in yourself, know the fights, and have a group that doesnt suck.
  14. there's no general tips really, that completely depends on the state of the market on your server, and is dynamic even then.
  15. some of the dmg is scripted, and unavoidable, that big chunk coming out of the minefield. there's a set of cruisers, the second pair i believe they come back at the end and Frag you. Take out all the turrets on the cruisers, as early as you can, if you can wreck them at the beginning of the mission, then there's almost no fire on the shuttle. you can ignore the fighters in this first part. ir just blast them when you've got nothing better to shoot at, they won't do much to the shuttle. If you're doing it right, you should have nearly full health on the escort when you go into the asteroids. It'll take that big hit, but have like half left. from there it's all about picking the fighters off fast, i tended to use a lot of missiles there too.
  16. there's supposedly 1 terminal, on that first hut planet, (nar shadda i think) which is neutral, available to both faction. All the others, on the fleet and elsewhere though are faction specific, but not planet specific. I dunno what could have given you that idea, unless it was looking at nar shadda, it's probably pretty empty.
  17. i haven't found an elite yet that my pure healer couldn't handle, so long as i interrupt.
  18. archaeology and treasure hunting + artifice (results may not be valid on your server ofc) hypertech, primeval artifacts, and upari crystals- all sell for between 1 and 2k, you can grind a stack of 40 or 50 each in a couple hours of play using your companion missions. they may not all sell, or one or another may be flooded at any given time, so watch the AH and rotate them. treasure hunting- corusca gems from crits, necessary for all purple artifice recipes, or sellable for 7-10k by themselves lorridian crystals, usually good for 1-2k each as well then you get into companion gifts, rank 5 blues go for 5k all day long, purples go for up to 20, depending on how many are there. The thing to keep in mind is that companion gifts are different from other purchases. People don't just go buy one, they clean it out to get affection maxed fast. Also, max your companions affection, it raises mission crit chance. I mean, i'm not rich rich, i've got my max speeder, and a couple million banked. but 50 or a hundred k a day will keep you in beer and skittles. (for raiding biochem is still the preferred spec however, i wouldn't drop that, just maybe swap a crew skill to something that makes more money. I'd drop slicing personally, now that you're max level you woln't be spending enough time grinding planets for boxes to be worthwhile, and since the nerf missioning doesn't cut it. Stockpile the hell out of treasure hunting missions, from slicing though, those are selling for amazing amounts)
  19. i haven't pulled khem out of the barn since getting revel. for standard pve, at worse it's whirlwind the strong one, burn the normal adds. (or pull the elite and start watching your interrupts, which you can't do if your targeting the tank waiting on him to take dmg.) if i just bubble tank it i can heal myself without swapping focus away from the target. Plus PVE is weaksauce, and you really don't need a tank.
  20. umm..the least played class is great, it means you're not competing for my gear. Maybe, find a good active guild?
  21. the great thing about the dailies is that you can just take of your gear, bolt inside, die at the spot, rez, kill the boss, die and rez back at the quest hub. As long as you can handle the end guy ofc.
  22. lol, am i the only one who thinks "good". it's nice that they won't let you powerlevel through it?
  23. remember that you've got three interrupts and don't let khem get whirlwinded. how is this hard?
