  1. I agree, it stupid that we get them on each character but can only collect one. Please allow us to use more then one. We should at least have one for each stronghold but I'd like to have more then that, as I'd like to put two around a door in one stronghold.
  2. While I agree it nice to be able to get gear from all aspect of the game but they should have allowed us to gear both ways. That way players get a chance for best gear doing things beside OPS etc but it doesn't punish those who want to get gear out fast or have lots of alts. You say it was too focus on grinding stupid stuff, it still is. Now we have Alliance Rank, Companions Affection, and Command Rank to list a few, which are all terrible grind let alone the gear RNG that the new system brings in. As for the focus on gear, neither system forced you to get top gear unless you want to do endgame. To be honest I can continue playing the game I want, but for those looking to gear out there character for group content, pvp, or simple to speed up the daily grind this system really slow them down. It also not very friendly to alts which they did just encourage the player base to do. Those of us who didn't care about gear won't be affect, thus make the system pointless for us but I bet a lot of people will be turned off maybe even leave. So I think it will do more harm then good. The command system should have been add as a bonus reward system for the players. They never should have cut the F2P and Preferred out of the gearing up, as now these player will have no choice but to be undergear even if they choose to do group stuff.
  3. That how I think it should have worked as a reward system and a mean for none operation people to eventual have a chance to get the best gear. I also would have add some nice things that the player could pick a choice from each crate like random decoration, companion gift, and other goodies. That way the system is just a fun, right now it just a terrible grind that punish everyone; casuals, raiders, those that like alts, and etc. This is going to harm the game more then helping them get subs.
  4. The ending is kind of abrupt and canned. Once again I feel like all choices are just skin deep beyond killing companions. Even if it was the illusion of choices mattering I think it could be done a lot better. I mean the old stories all end the same way but gave the illusion that our choice were different and matter. I think these chapter are stronger then the last one. One thing I don't understand
  5. I agree with everyone that this is likely the most terrible system I've seen, ok maybe the NGE in SWG was a little worse as it gutted the whole game for me as I played a Creature Handler but this is still bad. I really see this losing them more players and doing way more harm then good. Casual players will be turn off as they can't grind it, alt people are doom, F2P/Preferred can't even do it, raider won't be able to do there favorite activity for a long time due to the system, and so on. I'm luck that most the things I do don't require good gear but it make the system a complete waste for me too. That the problem people are either not going to care "thus not grind it" or they will and personal I see more of these people being turned off by it. I think if they make it legacy wide it be more accepted. In truth I wish they had simple made it a reward system. Solo players could use it to slowly get raider level gear but there still be gear the old fashion way in ops etc. Then they could let us choose random decoration, companion gifts, etc. That way it make playing the game more fun instead of making it a ugly grind. I don't known why they think this system is going to get people to sub up and it going to hurt group content. There going to be a lot of people undergear either due to not grinding up the ranks, not sub, or bad luck getting armor drops from the crates. I just wonder how these thing get through testing.
  6. I think your idea is good too but I don't think the legacy version is bad either. No system is going to give us an "I-win" to alts as the random chance nature of the system prevents it. One players could grind 700 crates and still not get a complete set bonus, while another does 50 and get a complete set.
  7. Really, this is just stupid. Who cares if someone farming golds, it still going to take forever to get one character to max level. Let alone the alts that the DVL event called for us to do and we still face the evil RNG just to get the armor. So, it not like it's going to kill the game if people get gear out, oh wait it actual might cause some people to keep playing if they could gear out in a reasonable timeframe. I don't think they known the word reasonable. I agree with the other, this system will do far more harm than good. I think this is going to cost them more players as I don't think many will sub up for a stupid grind and little new content. No I’m not going to quite as I will just keep doing story and other activities that I can easily do in basic gear, but I can sympathies with those who are upset. This is just a terrible system for everyone. They should be asking why do players feel the need to grind gold mob for countless hours (no one think it fun) and instead make a system that fun. Same goes for companion gifts, these grinds are just getting old. Command Rank should have been a perk that gave extra goodies to sub for you know playing or even help speed up gearing so they could have fun. The Seer make a great example about this. I think even those not subbing should have been allowed to gain command rank particularly with it being tie to gear, just at a slower rate. For those that enjoy the system I'm happy for you. It like the companion thing, there been a lot of people asking to customize new companions; at least their clothes forever. We final get one and that a bug, let us fix the thing you’ve been asking for. They really do like fixing things no one want them to fix. I’m with others make this legacy bound. PS: People really will have an excuse in flashpoint, pvp, or other group content when they come up short on the gear now. As many people won't be able to complete this in a reasonable time frame on one character let alone there alts, and they can just say I got no RNG luck "sorry."
  8. I got two level 70 relic from different command crate.
  9. I do known that they go above 66, as I got a recipe for a level 70 relic (not sure if this applies to all gear). It came from a command crate but the recipe is bind on legacy. I'm not sure if the recipes that drop in OPS or flashpoints are tradable or what level they are at.
  10. I could see this being a real pain and I don't like the idea I have to grind up so many companions to start with when there not that useful. Let alone the ones I already killed or chase off just so I can redo a chapter. Hopeful they have figure out how to address the issue with dead or gone companions; beside you jumping into the chapter then leaving to grind them up. It's not a game breaking issue for me, I'll probably just not redo those chapters on those character "as they aren't that interesting anyways" but it does make the system less appealing. I'm sure there will be even more companions for the new chapters that we will have to grind up but I bet that part of their plan. Well have to spend a lot of time/credits to get our companions leveled up, our command rank level up, and then RNG our outfit (without the ability to outfit our alts). So now we have to really redo it on all characters. I think this is all designed to slow us down to be honest. I really wish they had let us redo the class story as those stories are way more interesting and I could see myself rerunning it just for fun. In truth all old content world arch, left over quest, etc. should give you command points if you have reach level 70 but I don't think they will. I could be wrong about this.
  11. Sadly, they probably won't as they didn't bother to make the old content repeatable either. I would love to go back and run my Knight through the story again, plus I love many of these chapters where you could make some really unique choices but sadly no we get to repeated the least choice and diverse dialog wise, stories over and over. I also have lot of mission including world arch I skips on some of my characters and I think we should get CXP for doing them. I'll keep my finger cross that they will go back and allow us to repeat our class stories, I remember people asking for that the first year. If they’re going to just keep giving us a little new stuff why not make everything repeatable so we can do what we want. At least that how I feel about it.
  12. I think your character alignment only decide which team you are on lightside or darkside. For example I could be cap level light jedi but still get point from doing heroic or making light choices. I could be wrong.
  13. My sister thought of the same thing, diplomacy might be a very useful tool now.
  14. I could be wrong but I believe you can be neutral as you will still have a few points. My smuggler has 1600 dark vs 680 light (neutral doesn't mean you have 0 points), so which ever is higher will decide if your on the winner or loser side. I could be mistaken but that how I understood it from the stream. In a way it might be better as you could easily swap you point higher or lower to make sure you are on the winning side. Even just get a few point to swing yourself over to the winning side.
  15. ^This is very true; I don't feel like I'm leading anyone. Not once in the story do I say hey let go do this. This is why I'm not as big of a fan of the Inquisitor Story as it feels like everyone just tell MC go do this and so on. The MC doesn't even come up with the plan to save everyone. You need to make the illusion that were making the decision about where our Alliance is going. They could also do better with the illusion of choice mattering. A few example from the story Yes, it just an illusion and wouldn’t change the story but it makes it so the player feels like they are changing things “even a little bit”. This tie back to the old stories, did our choice really matter, not much (Knight always defeat emperor etc) but they did a good job with the illusion that our choices mattered. Maybe our choice will matter more in the next chapter but right now the few choices we’ve had feel very force and unnatural.
  16. I wish they stop doing hidden stealth nerf, they could at least be up front about it, as we always figure them out. If they were going to do anything they could have just lowered the credits down but nope they have to complete remove them. This isn't going to change the inflation problem, there are so many way to make easy credits and for bots they will always find a way to grind something to make credits. I have yet to see a game that they can't find a mean to make credits. They will grind goodies if they can't get actual credits and then sell said items to make money. Those who buy credits are going to buy them maybe they will cost a little more but still not going to stop them, so it not going to fix either of these problems. Plus the game economy always inflated because it a game, not a real economy which have supply, demand, regulation, time to make something and so many other factors. This does take away credits from players who leveled the skill and actual do play the game. Then used this as a mean to make credits. Thankful I don't rely heavily on this skill but I feel for those who did. I just don't believe nerfing credits is going to change or fix anything but that just my opnion.
  17. I wouldn't be surprised that it was another stealth nerf, but maybe it's a bug. If it was a nerf I wish they be honest and not try to slip it past us. Like were not going to figure it out. I know there was a big forum, with people complaining that the credits dropping from treasure chest was causing inflation, be used by credit farmers, and demanding a nerf. I feel like these nerf just hurt honest players who want to make credits. When it come to bots they aren't hurt all that much, as they will just keep gridning credits at a lower ratio since they can do it 24 hours a day, unlike players who have to actual play the game.
  18. I think I read that the cartel armor and lightvdark side event armor are different collections, I could be wrong. So no mixing and matching which just make them even more pointless, cause the odd of getting the whole set are pretty low. I don't get why they don't make them legacy bound. Like many other I keep getting objects on the wrong type of character force vs non-force user. If they had made them legacy bound at least they be a little useful, even through a lot of it I already have unlock. I'd say for me these rewards have been complete useless, so I rate this event the worst out of all of them. Both for reward and actual you known making a new event, instead regrind everything we already did. I'm happy for those who are getting nice things.
  19. I also didn't get the 500 cc for subbing by July 7th. Hope you fix this, thank you for looking into it.
  20. I would give it a 2 out of 10. If the reward were more thought out I might have marked it higher, but as of right now you often just get random outfit/crystals, even xp boost, on a character you don't want them on. They should have been Bind on Legacy, then I might have given it a three. I do agree that it is kind of uncool to use rare armors people paid money or lots of credits to get as reward but it is limited to one set, unless you pay the unlock it, plus the odd of getting an entire set to unlock is very low. The main reason for the low score is because this event is nothing but a weak grind of old content. Sure I can do it but if they’re going to make a new event around a new companion they could have at least put in a few new side quest or a new daily area like most MMO do when adding a new event. I would also have given it a higher score if they at least count something, say the classes, when it came to what players had already done. I’m not saying everything had to be count but they could have given vet players some credit for what they had already done. I also don’t like the fact I have to stop working on my characters, just to make a new one for the event. At least they could have allowed us to get credit if we continue to work on pre-made characters we already had. Also it kind of feel like a money grab, hey you don’t have character slot buy them or move and instead of making the items legacy bound they say you just have to pay cc to unlock it. I will say this is my least favorite event to date.
  21. I've seen the name "Random One" My sister going to try to name her "Doomed or Shortlived" name like these just show how thrilled some people are to regrind what they already did four years ago.
  22. ^So sad yet so true, five datacorn are all that is new in this entire event,
  23. Well, this is let down, but not really shocking anymore. It like they just come up with way to angry their long term players. Sometimes I really wonder how these ideas come to fruit. There are so many things wrong with this event. First, and foremost, it not fun or new, just the same old grind we’ve been doing. All the other games I play can actual make new fun events even if they are simple and small. To just list some of the problems with this event I have, Character slot problems will effect some, not me, but I feel for them. They should at least give everyone two free slots, and not expect them to buy them or move to another server. They could have made it account wide, that would have made it a little more bearable/manageable. This just makes it look like a money grab. It’s nothing new, it just grinds the stuff we've already been grinding which might not be so bad if it was retroactive, but no we can't do that. What a crazy idea to reward your long time players, rather than say now do it all over again. Why would they think that would be fun and not upset the longer term players? To top it off you can't even use your already created low level characters, no you have to create new character which just makes it more of a pain. Ugh. It might have been an ok event, if they thought about some of these problem and offered better solutions beside the player needs to pay or switch servers because of the event was poor design. Oh, and for those suggesting delete character over and over, that's sound like so much fun and not a waste of my time. I don’t have free time to just grind characters, to just delete them, erasing all my work. I want to continue working on my characters that I’m already in the process of leveling. The redo all eight classes for the top tier, that just horrible. I know for fact I won’t even be trying for that grindfest. To add salt the wounds, the items from packs are bound on pickup, when they could have easily have been bound on legacy (So people couldn’t sell them), which again scream money grab as the only way you can get these rare armors and items, to your other already made characters, is to unlock them in the collection with cartel coins (as they are rare it not going to be cheap). Basically our rewards for regrinding old contents is to have to pay to get our "random" reward items back to the character we normally play on. Last thing, this isn’t some quick event, so now I can’t even spend time on the characters I want to work on because I have to make some new character just to do what I was already was doing on my pre-made characters, again the whole thing seem pointless. Really, how could anyone have thought this was going to be welcomed by most of the players?
  24. I think they need to be add them back to the pack and I'm a vet sitting on a lot of them for when I want to use them. I don't feel it a slap in the face that other want them add back in. Saying remove them is a little silly but they should be able to be earned them at a reasonable rate. As there some very nice decoration tie to them and the old embargo items. I do not consider the slot machine reasonable. Another fun way they could be add back is if they gave 5 to subscriber each month as a bonus reward for being a loyal customer.
