I wish there was an option for chat bubble toggle on/off at the very least. I mean couldn't chat bubbles be reintroduced with a toggle on/off option as well as default setting off?? Also, how bad was the lag the chat bubbles created? I don't remember tbh

Chat bubbles were slated to be in the game, in fact they were in beta but due lag issues they were removed. In fact they were still in the game files after launch and you could modify your game files so that you could see chat bubbles but that has since been removed. It is a bit ridiculous that this game doesn't have something as simple and universal as chat bubbles and the swtor community would like an answer as to when they are going to be put back into the game.

Bioware, this is not going away; Please address this issue!

STO is a bit different; I mean that chat bubbles would look a bit ridiculous in that game when your flying your spaceship around! But no chat bubbles is not just an RP thing, it is a way of communicating that is easier to follow than the chat box.

This issue is not going to go away and everyday I will bump this thread to make sure it doesn't!

We know chat bubbles cause lag; so Bioware can you please fix chat bubbles and implement them into our game? The result would have an immediate visual impact on how our game looks and that's a good thing!

Hence why chat bubbles are not in the game. But they need to be fixed as it is an essential component to any mmorpg.

Chat bubbles are the most visual thing missing with this game. A MMORPG without chat bubbles, disturbing!
