  1. Kind of weird, considering that both were known as sorcerers and alchemists.
  2. I've also wanted a combat style for a sorcerer that would use some sort of amulet/artifact(a sage would maybe use a focusing crystal), instead of a lightsaber. Ultimately, I think it'd be best to just remove the existing classes entirely and instead replace them with a pool of abilities/skills(for non force user and a force user) for players to pick from to build their own combat style (and add a few default builds to get people used to the new system, like "warrior", "sorcerer", etc.; it'd help people to get acquainted with the mechanic and later on to make their own builds, maybe using the default ones as a base), but I imagine that wouldn't be easy to balance. However, to make it easier to balance, arenas/warzones could have a number of balanced builds for players to pick from. Nothing custom. Though I guess some people wouldn't like this, as they'd want to use their own builds. For the agent class, I'd like to see some droid specialist combat style, that "summons" combat droids/probes to aid him and focuses on their support, maybe sets up traps, stays in shadows. A kind of a "cyber druid". The bounty hunter class could get some sort of beast handler combat style. I think SWG could serve as an inspiration for many of non-force combat styles. This one as well.
  3. Exar Kun, Ulic Qel-Droma and Obi-Wan concept art for The Phantom Menace sets. Exar Kun: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Ulic Qel-Droma: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Obi-Wan (there are a few out there, but I like this one in particular; his cape looks really nice): And more Obi-Wan: 1, 2, 3, 4. Their hair styles would be great as well.
  4. Kind of bizarre that these haven't been added by now. Pazaak and a proper swoop racing(akin to one in SW:Racer and KOTOR, not the current minigame; but with both single rider and multiple rider modes) with tracks and leaderboards on various planets would be awesome. And the current swoop event could serve as the top tournament, where aside from regular racers, champions would gather to decide who's the best swoop rider in the galaxy. With special prizes and all that.
  5. I wish the devs would either bring the Onslaught theme back or let people choose between themes. I'm so tired of the current old main menu music.
  6. Adding decoration hooks would be nice as well.
  7. I like the idea of the supposedly unified Empire as opposed to everyone stabbing each other in a back, but I definitely wish there were more Sith hybrids and less aliens and humans around. Ikoral had the right idea. I never really liked how the devs decided to give the Galactic Empire aesthetic to a remnant of the old Sith Empire. Even Revan's Empire had a more original feeling to it, despite being an offshoot of the Republic. Also, having Vowrawn as the emperor is really nice. Shame that Acina has to suffer an accident for that to happen...😈
  8. I've been running around Dantooine today, peeked past the map borders, and it made me think again of how small it is. There is so much more outside of the map we're given to explore. Why not allow us to explore some more? Perhaps, set one of the expansions here. Add a proper quest chain(+side quests). Maybe add Khoonda settlement(it could serve as the main base for the Republic, while the Empire would get another... cave?), let people access the Jedi Enclave(as a location, instead of just a flashpoint), Crystal Cave and a few other, maybe new, places. Add a Dantooine farm stronghold. It also would require a minimum amount of new assets, compared to adding a new planet/original location. And would play on nostalgia as well. A rather good idea, no?
  9. I'm just happy that there were some improvements. My expectations were not that high, so I can't really complain. The story bit was pleasant and better than in 7.0, imo. Manaan area was fairly nice. Equipment preview window finally got a camera fix, though I feel like you could bring camera closer in past. The new system, akin to that in ESO, which allows everyone who fights the same mobs(without being in party) to receive a reward is a good addition as well. Especially when you do that heroic mando boss in Kaas temple and similar things. I wish the same was done to clickable quest things, so you needn't to queue. Cartel Market additions, on the other hand, are pretty pathetic. A reskinned Obi-Wan set and another set made from older tweaked meshes (the helmet looks interesting though). I don't understand. Is it so hard to outsource a few armour sets? I doubt that the entire game's development budget is 200-300$(salaries for workers and VA pay aside). That new tuning also looks suspiciously similar to Ood Bnar tuning. The rest are ok, I guess? Manaan vendor sets are literally same, except for dyes. Seriously? Maybe I've missed something? And I honestly have no idea where to put those kelp decorations, considering that there are no underwater stronghold sections. I guess I'll just stick them on asphalt somewhere. Haven't checked the new operation, so I can't comment on it.
  10. As far as I know, they did not intend to keep the old system, as it is regarded as "outdated". Rather than this remake, I'd love to see KOTOR 2 get properly finished and receive a Neverwinter Nights 2-like editor. It always seemed strange to me that the KOTOR games used the NWN engine, but didn't get editor for some reason. And while the first one is unlikely(since probably there would be complications with VA and there seems to be a disinterest in KOTOR 2 compared to KOTOR 1 in general), the second one is quite realistic and would really boost the modding scene.
  11. Maybe. Maybe not. I doubt it. Though don't really follow the state of those games. SWTOR is an MMO, not a session game, so I think it's a lot more resource consuming. But the problem is not that it consumes a lot. The problem is that SWTOR has almost nothing to offer to its older playerbase. There is barely any new content. Instead, you have a bunch of unnecessary, off-putting "improvements", which are more like an excuse for not delivering the actual stuff. It feels like the game survives mostly due to fresh blood that hasn't experienced the game fully. Sure, older players resubscribe(and buy cartels) from time to time, but I doubt that this generates much money. The management doesn't really aim to keep the older base, but rather it aims to continually attract new players with ancient content, wave after wave, while the older ones leave or take a very long break. This may also be the reason for the "simplifications" of the 7.0. Making the game more appealing to the "younger generations". I feel like SWTOR is going to be alive for as long as gives a certain amount of profit. And after that, it'll get axed. The devs don't seem to be interested in developing the game. The "wave after wave" strategy will work for some time, but it's pure milking without much investment and a slow death, since a pool of the new players interested in playing a tab combat Star Wars MMO is going to become smaller and smaller.
  12. Gloves and belt are from the Imperial Advisor set.
  13. What do you think will happen to SWTOR after that? Especially considering how the devs aren't really actively trying to preserve the game. It's like the people running the game either don't care about it or hate it. Are there even any people that like Star Wars old EU on the dev team or is it some random folks who just do the job? Seems like the latter to me. I feel like the devs aren't motivated to keep SWTOR alive at all. Players may criticize the dev work all the time, but they do it cause they are passionate about the game and about Star Wars. Not because they want to harass someone(at least the majority). I want this game to stay alive. It's not without faults, but I enjoy it. So rather than get upset about criticism(or just outright ignoring it), the devs should listen(and read) to what the players have to say. It's mostly the same complains everywhere, not a bunch of different ones. Quite easy to understand what needs to be done first.
  14. More male/female long hair and heads would be nice. And those shouldn't be human-only, like the 7.0 additions. I'd love to see some complexions for male Sith too. With an eyeliner/kohl or dark shadow. We already sort of have one, but it makes the character look like someone who drinks too much juma juice.
  15. SWTOR has been going down the drain for quite a while now. It wasn't off to the great start from the beginning, but it wasn't something unfixable. Unfortunately, the new patches only added more bugs and sometimes, at least partially, made the gameplay worse(of course, there were improvements; before 7.0, I considered the SWTOR UI and inventory to be one of the best in MMO, especially after the crafting bag addition). Mostly, the latter ones. Also, over the years the game has amassed a fair share of visual, non-game breaking bugs, fixing which the devs just gave up. Two in particular come to mind: companions not opening mouths after Makeb when you click on them(a funny thing about this one is when you have another player near you with the same companion as yours, this player's companion will open his/her mouth instead of yours) and consulars saluting instead of troopers in the character creation screen(other classes also had messed up class animations in the character creation screen, but this one was just the most memorable to me). It's also upsetting how companions over the years got reduced to just basically a bunch of dummies with mostly the same skills and stats. Vitiate family drama and the following expansions(which made Knights of X expansions seem like a pretty good and lengthy content) were underwhelming and not quite the what the majority of fans were expecting, I think. Architecture on post "Knights of" planets was good though(I liked Zakuul too). Especially the Jedi architecture on Ossus. Props to the ones that made it. The 7.0 is just the last nail and the most awful patch ever. The UI/HUD changes, bad character creation screen/icons(who the hell thought that the new, placeholder-tier class icons are better than the old ones or that the new character creation black screen is an improvement to the old one?) and the gameplay changes, which almost no one asked for. The mediocre +-20 minute story content(if you don't count running from one place to another and beating up enemy NPC, which takes between one or two hours). The game was actually made worse. The patch didn't just bring nothing new or added some minor improvements. It actually was a major downgrade. Plus, some content got cut out again(this time, in form of class abilities). The game could use more cartel market stuff, yet over the last years it wasn't updated much. More armours, weapons, decorations, animations, etc. More character creation options, such as new hair, complexions, faces and so on. People would buy this gladly. Humans got some very minor upgrades(hair and complexion) in 7.0, but other races were left completely untouched. It's like the devs or EA(maybe both?) don't want money at all. Just silently wait until the game will die. I don't think I've ever seen a game as mismanaged as SWTOR. With a proper direction this could be one of the most popular MMO in history, but instead, it's a half-dead game that's being kept alive mostly due to the fact that it's Star Wars and it has an enjoyable old story content. That's pretty much it. Though I suppose there are also pvp, starfighter and the end game dress up. But I think people return mostly to replay the class stories. Anyway, if this game wasn't Star Wars, you can bet that it'd probably be dead by now.
  16. I don't think that's an issue. Game earning less money isn't the reason why, say, UI looks worse now. You could use this argument for the game story, but not for the :jawa_smile:amazing changes, which were introduced in this patch. I think that if such thing were to happen(a more expensive sub), it'd simply mean more earnings for EA, but not more investments into the game.
  17. It feels like Bioware first made Republic Manaan and then, remembering that they also have another faction, made the Imperial one, to simply fill the void. I also had a similar (albeit a lesser) feeling about Jedi Under Siege and Onslaught. It felt like as an Imperial player you've experienced less than you did as a Republic one. On the Republic Manaan you even get some usables(not a huge point, but still), such as a kolto probe and a thermal detonator, which you do not on the imperial side. Everything seems to be lacking on the Imperial side to me. Whereas on the Republic side you have a fair share of cutscenes and even get to team up with another companion besides Arn, on the Imperial side you just walk around smacking enemy troops with Anri and get a few cutscenes. Am I the only one who feels this way?
  18. It looked so nice. How the hell does one even reach a conclusion that it's a good idea to replace this with the mobile skeleton UI we have now?
  19. You do get rewarded appropriately content length-wise. After all, 7.0 is like 1-2 hours of play at most, if you are playing without stealth. Though I think if you skip the bonus quests on Manaan, you'll probably get 80 near the end of Elom.
  20. I also used the buffing skill to get off my mount. Having to press on and off on the mount icon feels kinda bizarre. Lack of "Dash" on my jugg, which I used a lot to move around, makes me sad as well. It's like these changes were made by a person that hasn't actually played or even seen the non-fp/raiding gameplay of SWTOR.
  21. It has to be. The game is getting ruined on purpose, right? This whole "expansion" (aside from the story, which is simply poor) feels like some guy decided to play with the code and graphics to mess up the game. I'm not going to discuss things in deep, as there are already tons of threads dedicated to the amazing features of 7.0. UI that looks like a powerpoint project of some 12 yo, mechanics, pruning, crewperson cringe etc. I'm just going to ask, why the hell are there placeholder icons for classes under the legendary status icon in the character selection screen? Is that one for real? Who the hell thought that it'd be a good idea to replace the old ones with these? Manaan isn't a planet. It's not even a FP(yet it feels like one; a really average-bad one). There are no mechanics(unless you count working around bugs as mechanics) or proper bosses. Just tons of enemies in straight corridors. Enemies are not hard. They are just annoying. Especially those troopers on the platforms with lots of HP. It feels like someone was going to make this a FP, but then the devs decided to say instead that it's a planet. After all, they promised one. Elom was simply underwhelming. There is not much to say(to be honest, I expected I'd be able to enter the temple). I did like Malgus's force jumps though. I haven't seen R-4 Anomaly, so nothing to say on this one. Whoever made this 10 year anniversary "gift" possible clearly seeks to destroy the game. My question to this person(or these people) is why not just quit? Why poison the game for thousands of people that actually like it and want it to become better and successful? Don't drag down our enjoyment for some personal reasons. This is the last active piece of Legends. Whatever the next MMO game is going to be, it'll be set in the new Star Wars canon universe, which I can't say I'm a huge fan of(I don't hate it, just like the old one a lot more; especially the Old Republic period). So I want SWTOR to be successful. I want SWTOR to be alive. And to be alive, it needs to be good. Not 7.0. Stop ruining the game
  22. The expansion stories are mostly Jedi Knight(and Republic) focused and I feel like the Imperial characters overall experience story in a lesser way, compared to the Republic ones. It's mostly due to some small moments here and there, but there's a fair share of those moments. For example, people that support your character and help in you in the Knights expansions are mostly tied in some way to the Republic. And some of them you can meet in the pre-Knights Republic content(like a certain fat doctor for example). Imperials, as far as I remember, hardly meet anyone.
