I'm not high or rich enough to do this yet. Nope, not there either.. I don't know exactly hat you're saying with the last part of your post, but if you look at this link (same video, specific time) you clearly see the level 36 saber has much lower base stats than the level 48 saber. 134-201 Damage and 223 Force Power vs 223-335 Damage and 373 Force Power. It would make absolutely no sense if those stats then went to zero when adding mods. In fact we know that's not the case because the Force Power remains unaffected when you add mods (if no Force Power mods are added). That's not true either, he states he's taken the mods out of the 48 saber and put them in his 43 saber so he could use it earlier (became a 47 saber?).

Reading the Deathmark and Calculating Mind skills has me confused. Deathmark doesn't mention charges, but Calculating Mind says when a charge is consumed you get force back. How many charges of Deathmark land when you cast Death Field? How do you consume one of those charges? (One per spell, one per DoT tick, etc)

That doesn't make any sense and isn't implied in the video. Even though their base stats are different? Then what's the point of base stats? And why do people buy new weapons?

Watch the video closer, he compares a level 3x saber to a 4x (both empty), you're looking at comparing the 43 to the 48.

Based on various current fansites and information available to me, this was the thinking in beta but is not the case in the game as it stands. In fact, that theory is blown away by this video:

Is there a way to compare my currently equipped/modded item to an empty item without spending the money to remove all the mods in the modded item and transferring them to the new empty one (comparing base stats without spending the money to empty an item)?
