  1. I guess my memories fail me then. I enjoyed WOW since day 1. WoW had the three critical components: Timing, timing, and timing. The animations were unparalleled. The artwork was unique and instantly identifiable with the game. From combat to just regular movement you could tell the timing was nailed masterfully. Lots of things about wow can be argued about and end up "matter of opinion". Anyone with a passion for animation or a sense of fluid motion knew WoW was a masterpiece where it counted. Just like Pixar, its greatest achievements were unnoticed by the masses, other than it "feeling right". A New MMO doesn't have to exceed WoW's unique art style or game design. The main focus should be on timing. Animations, fluid motion, timing, timing, timing. THEN add in unique qualities that will define the game. Swtor has major timing issues. Everything else is based off of that. Get the cornerstone corrected and then move on to other problems.
  2. This is why MMO pvp sucks atm. Its clear everyone is talking about a different experience than I have been receiving through multiple pug groups day in and day out. 10-49 and 50 pvp must be completely different now and the reason it is explains why pvp sucks so much. Gear. I wish I could go back in time and knock the hell out of the person who thought up continuing the stats increase after leveling stopped. And go eliminate the idea of adding PVE carrots in PVP. PVP should have remained objective based and once you hit 50, you have your max abilities/stats until a level increase. The only difference between a fresh 50 and a veteran should be non-advantageous rewards (and there could be many). The OP doesn't like the healing class period. I read his whole thread. OP, you like the idea of at best, a hybrid, no true healers. Either you are getting frustrated losing to hybrids (I can only imagine it has to be a sorc/sage) or your trying to kill a healer who has a friend. My personal lower bracket experience with heals is that it completely sucks. Granted, I'm not a sage/sorc. If I get 1 dps on me, O N E, the only outcome is my death in a true 1v1.
  3. Of course they were. All mistakes overlooked that just happen to all favor one side. Nothing to see here, right? Move along sheep! move along!
  4. The fact that non-employees go out of their way to discredit the whistleblowers (er, like one might do in a conspiracy?) is also hilarious and sad.
  5. Quite a few number of your "red responses" acquiesce that there was a problem and you think the issues are being fixed in one patch or another. By your own admission this is not "so much false information". This OP is frustrated to be sure, but it does raise an eyebrow when all of these "little problems" seem to favor the Empire. Should we listen to your wise reason then or the law of probability? I get tired of people always looking to badger angry customers. Bioware can take care of themselves I'm sure.

    Heals feel subpar

Well as I prefaced in my OP, I'm level 34. Please refrain from commenting if you do not like the bracket I'm referring to. If they can give blanket debuffs when you enter a warzone, they can damn sure adjust the dmg/healing ratio, too. I'm glad your enjoying level 50 pvp.

    Heals feel subpar

Subpar relative to the lightsabers in your face or the two enemies attacking the person your trying to heal. Because lets not be so obtuse. If my heals are moot, why shouldn't I just roll dps instead?

I have. Perhaps take a different non-donkey's rear approach to your response. I know it takes more time and perhaps alittle more effort. But it will make you seem less weak-minded. Its so easy to be mean. The resolve bar is convoluted and does not address the issue. Have you tried your hand at a dedicated healer in pvp? Not everyone is blessed with empathy. Get into the healers shoes and then you'll understand what's going on. I have a talent that is supposed to make my shield add interrupt invulnerability. Guess what? Not worth squat. I get interrupted. I even double-checked. Fun times!

    Told to leave

All of your posts are negative. OP, please ignore this troll. The irony of his own words are laughable.

    Heals feel subpar

Any other healers noticing this? I'm running a 34 merc heals and I can't keep up with damage. I'm trying to deal with so many classes that operate off instant attacks and interrupts and stuns. I'm sure for premades who focus fire anyone touching their heals, better experiences might apply, but that goes for any class in the premade. Can we not get a stun immunity after being stunned once already? The heals experience in pvp needs something. Its not enjoyable.
  11. I hope that means your sorc/sages are done with this thread? Thank you. There is no denying the list of advantages you have over all other classes. The only thing that has to happen is for them to get serious about balancing pvp and it will be obvious which classes need adjustment, nerfs or buffs.
  12. People leaving warzones are a symptom, not the problem. Stop trying to treat the symptom. Address WHY they're leaving.
  13. He's only referring to the goal area. Use stealth ofcourse. Don't get fussy when game design changes and anti-stealth fields are added to the goal line. Don't forget to laugh when certain abilities are debuffed when your carrying the ball (such as sorc speed boost).
  14. You guys think your so funny and brilliant. I'm glad the OP brought this up. This is a hiccup in game design and needs to be looked at. There are a number of abilities that should be looked at while in a Huttball match. Keep it up, OP!. These donkeys won't be heehawing at you if this gets addressed. And you have made the first step toward that. /cheer squeaky wheel.
  15. My current problem is slicing at my level returns 10-15 credits over the mission cost (95 credit cost). The nail in the coffin for me is the fact that 75% (literally, if not more) of the safes/nodes I run into while questing are bugged and I cannot interact with them. These two things together kills slicing for me. I would have be satisfied with being able to just loot world slicing nodes.
  16. Yea, in my case I have a 50 BH on one server and THEN I found some friends I ran with in previous MMO's and they were all on another server. Would love a server transfer option in this case.
  17. How is it flawed badly with normalized stats? Actually it would be an additional tool to keep classes in balance with each other. I'm not proposing Making a tank have the same hitpoints as a stealther. Moreso, tank 1 has 11k hp and tank 2 has 24k hp, both level 50. They're flag turns on, they both have 15-16k or some other preset figure balanced with other classes. If normalization will not work, then put a stat cap and let people work up to that. Try not to just be arguementative and rude. It only tarnishes your character and people dismiss what you have to say.
  18. As it pertains to PVP? If your PVP flag turns on your stats are normalized. How is that affected by your access to PVE? There can still be PVP gear to obtain. Infact, with this kind of idea, there will HAVE to be a slew of incentives like I mentioned earlier. Exclusive armor skins, titles, vehicles, companions, emotes, etc. Keep PVP about a level field where competition reigns. NOT a PVE gear grind vs. other players.
  19. EASY FIX. Please read closely and stop using this as an excuse to keep the same failed system in place. PVP flag turns on... Gear statistic cap turns on, too! I.E. I have 23k hit points because I'm so awesome in PVE. I enter any type of area/warzone with pvp and BAM, I see a debuff on my character and my stats revert to a normalized preset level for my class. Now I have maybe 15k hitpoints, etc. Problem solved.
  20. Your simply not understanding me or you just like to argue. I was in early access. As it stands now, if you hit 50 and try to pvp, the warzones/Ilum are filled with people sporting 17-19k hitpoints, expertise gear and fresh 50s have 12k-13.5k. Not even getting into class imbalances, the gear/dmg gap is the problem. I'm saying the system has been poorly implemented and needs a change. There is no fun to be found but through prolonged attrition. My point about early access 50s is they have no idea what this feels like. When they hit 50, there were no battlemasters they had to beat their face against over and over to try and get gear just to be able to have fun. Please stop trying to assume I have some other hidden motive I have not brought forth. I'm being as open as possible. I'm boggled that anyone can not see what is wrong with pvp in its current form. Even the one sitting in all the BM gear. It should be obvious. Where is the fun in rolling the same batch of undergeared players REPEATEDLY. For EITHER side? As far as WoW goes, yes the same complaints have been made and yes they are just as valid. That is why lower level battlegrounds became so much fun until people with the same "I want to have an advantage vs. compete" mentality ruined it. DAoC. Anyone back in the game's prime who played the pvp brackets or the earlier end game pvp knows how much fun competitive PVP can be. You leveled up to a bracket, made or purchased from other players, your gear and joined. Fun ensued. It wasn't until the scum that always seems to infest a competitive environment started abusing buffbots that PVP went down hill and people left the game. End game realm ranks started the coffin that expansion PVE gear put the final nail into. Even warhammer online was fun in the lower brackets. I saw too much of a repeat of history to stick around to see the endgame. If this game must fail, too, because Bioware is not willing to gamble on putting away a failed recipe for PvP, I hope SOME game finally learns and gives the masses fun, competitive pvp.
  21. Ofcourse not! But lets get creative with how to reward players for their efforts. You simply CAN NOT take a PVE mechanic and slap it on PVP. That is what has been done and that is why it fails. With moddable gear, it should be easy enough to still give cool looking, exclusive gear that will not create an imbalance. Vehicles, titles; for that matter, give out exclusive companions earned only through pvp accomplishments. There are plenty of things that would reward players for pvp that doesn't that break down to "my old gear had +2, my new pvp gear has +4! Yay, I have a feeling of accomplishment AND I get roflstomp those who still have the +2 gear!".
  22. I really need to break it down for you? NO ONE can argue that gearing up at level 50 with no Battlemaster 50s waiting for you is much easier than if they were present. NO ONE can argue that warzones, when most of the playerbase were just getting into the 20s, was a joke for the level 50 powergrinders. How is this gibberish? EDIT: Hey thanks for fixing my quote problem. Veiled insults only tarnish your character.
  23. PVE is gear progression. PVP is about competing against other players for enjoyment. Its not about pwning noobs.
  24. "Spoiled kids" like yourself do not want to allow people to "Play at your level of play...". That would be brackets, gear/rank-matching on warzones, etc. Your kind would cry foul just like you did when people were calling for a level 50 bracket. Citing how piss poor the world can be is a weak-minded reason to excuse how piss poor end game pvp in a MMO is.
  25. It was handed to anyone who powergrinded to 50 out of the starting gate. They "earned" it against other equally undergeared 50s while playing in trivial warzones comprized of 10-50s. It WILL change. That is the only thing that is certain. PVP and PVE are apples and oranges. I fully support putting a hard-cap on all stats when your PVP flag gets turned on. That would solve the worry about endgame PVE'rs ruling the roost with overpowered gear. Very few games have gotten this correct and the ones that did failed the minute they allowed gear progression (or ability "ranking" system) to allow an advantage over other players the same level.
