  1. The obvious question to that is why would people who like to pug, keep on queuing for your personal gratification?

    The answer is they don’t. Many stop playing which drives player numbers down.

     

    So what are you going to do when you’ve got no pugs to stomp and only ranked premades to play against who then stomp you into the ground every match. How much fun is that going to be when you become their personal gratification tool?

     

    Your last statement is the sort of justification that bullies make when they pick on weaker people. Are you a bully in the real world too because it makes you feel good?

    This, in a nutshell, I use to PvP religiously on a daily basis. I'd PUG and I'd be a Premade leader. Over time the players in the PvP warzones became very toxic, to the point where most decent player (Myself included) began to leave not wanting to deal with the headache. It is very sad that bullies are can't be reported for their antics.

  2. People win trade in regs? If that’s the case then you should look at why.

     

    Firstly, Odessen popping too much or not giving players an alternative to choose the maps might be why they are standing in the corner when Odessen pops. Another reason is you can get teams that just don’t try to win in Odessen. So some people give up and afk till it’s over. In both cases, the legacy lock out timer simply won’t help your situation and is actually detrimental.

     

    Secondly, if people are actual wintrading it’s because they aren’t winning matches to finish their missions. You get nothing else out of wintrading in regs. So if that is happening, then it’s obvious the changes to completing the missions through wins only is having a detrimental affect on players and so they are taking steps to complete the missions the only way they know how. The legacy lockout also doesn’t prevent this, in fact it encourages it.

     

    Both these examples suggest an even bigger issue. That is players aren’t having fun because they can’t always complete their weeklies by just playing or they aren’t having fun because certain maps pop or the match making puts you with people who don’t care about winning.

     

    Having the legacy lockout doesn’t prevent this attitude or feeling. In fact it re-enforces people’s resolve to wintrade or afk or worse, to stop queuing to play pvp. Which is more detrimental because less people play, which means worse matchmaking probability, which means more one sided matches, then more people decide that wintrading is the only way to get weeklies done.

     

    The only place that a legacy lockout is needed is for ranked to stop people from manipulating the queue for ranking and rewards (people actually pay real money for this. They don’t do that in regs).

     

    Sadly, your situation isn’t going to go away with keeping or removing the legacy lock out. Your issue is the way they changed it so only wins count now.

    What Bioware need to do is go back to the points system of wins vs losses. But instead of it being the old 2:1 ration, they should change it to a 4:1 or even a 3:1 ratio. I believe the 4:1 is probably the better option. But Bioware should be willing to test it and if that doesn’t work, consider the 3:1 ratio.

     

    I hope I’ve cleared up why you are incorrect in your thinking that keeping the legacy lockout will help your situation.

    If you think everyone is whining, maybe it’s time to consider why they are? It’s probably because they aren’t having fun under this arduous system. When people don’t have fun, they either don’t play (which is bad for the game) or they lash out. Telling us all you are sick of the whining certainly sounds like you aren’t having fun either.

     

    Win trading in regs is a direct result of the change in the daily/weekly missions, The lockouts are just the icing on the cake. The missions for the daily/weekly regs are no different then the missions for Ranked, where you have to win a match in order for the match to count toward the total number of wins you need to complete your daily/weekly.

     

    In my opinion The lockouts should be changed back to a character based lockout rather then a legacy based lockout, I too have disconnected in a few matches and have unfortunately had my nights ruined by this lockout system.

     

    As far is dailies/weeklies go, Keep the Ranked missions the way they are, but switch the missions for regs back to what they were before these horrendus changes.. 2 points toward your total for a win and 1 point toward your total for a lose.

  3. How often are the SWTOR Servers maintained for stability. over the past mouth i have had countless occasions where discounting from the server has ruined my night. To put salt in the wound, the recent changes made to curtain areas of game play (15 min Lock outs!!!!) is not helping you're case here. As a customer I expect the product that I am paying for to run smoothly, and to have fair yet reasonable rules. I have not been impressed lately.
  4. There is no "practice" in regs. The skill level of regs is disgustingly pitiful.

     

    That's not the half of it. PVP in a general senses is rigged in favor of a couple easy no skill required classes and specs. Most of which need to be beaten with the nerf bat

  5. Vanguard, Sentinels and a few other classes got some overpowered boosts for PVP.

     

    Can't touch a Vanguard now even in crap gear, they steamroll you.

    Can't get Sentinels off me, then and Vanguards take 1/2 your health in the first second of PVP.

     

    Seriously I can't believe a company like this rolls out patches and completely breaks PVP. There's been a couple of patches since the big patch, it did not fix a damn thing related to PVP.

     

    Just PVE crap which no one likes anyway.

     

    Sentinels Overpowered??? I never thought I'd hear those words in the same sentence. I play a sentinel as my main, we are not "Overpowered". If anything we can use a buff.

  6. In every single BG, Scoundrels/Operatives are topping PVP damage. They are simply UNKILLABLE, UNCONTROLLABLE, their CC is crazy, their heals and defenses are crazy and basically can stop an entire team from capping anything in BGs. It makes Warcraft's ROGUE's look like clowns. This class needs to be hit with the biggest nerfbat in the game. I play the class and have to laugh out loud. Even *I* should not be this OP.

     

    ANd to be frank, I play every class in the game and nothing comes close to the OP-ness of Scoundrels/Operatives.

     

    PLEASE NERF THEM HARD. Make SWTOR (PVP) Great Again! (MSAGA!)

     

    The only people not calling for nerf's are operatives and scoundrels. what the op is saying is all too true. The nerbat has to be brought out once again. Having played both operative/scoundrel It is laughable just how over powered they are.

  7. come on guys you gotta work on the matchmaking system. Day after day I am getting stone walled by staked teams with at least 2 heals/tanks while I get stuck with inexperienced player, no healer, AFKer's, quiter. It gets infuriating.
  8. A couple weeks into 5.0 most changes have been great. but the massive shift in how mercs/mandos are is unbearable.

    the merc/mandos are far to powerful and need to be brought back down to earth like the rest of us.

  9. Ah but isn't it so much more fun to watch a livestream of a developer taking control of that players account, logging in, stripping the character, throwing the toon off a cliff to die, logging out and deleting that account?

     

    That has to be far more satisfying when it ruins other players enjoyment of the game, no?

    If this was to happen my faith in BioWare would be restored. in my past experience I have never known them to take these complaints very serious even when proof is provided.

  10. Just had a game where Sorc healer was taking hits from 3 people at once and just kept out-healing himself. This has to stop! One sorc healer shouldn't be able to survive the damage from the whole team!

     

    Nerf Sorc healers!

    Nerf Sorcs and sages are not needed

    Send a couple skilled Marauders/Sentinels after the Sorc/Sage healer and problem solved

Sentinels/Marauders have never had good defences and with all the juggernauts/guardians that I have been dominating the warrior/knight class that won't give the sent/mara much chance of winning in a 1v1 situation this is something that bothers me. After see the defences of the powertech/mercenary that are the same from the look of it why not apply that same idea to the warriors/knights as a base defence powerbase what I mean by this is give both advanced classes "Undying rage"-"Enrage Defence"-"Saber ward"-"Predation"

    This in my opinion will help restore a lot of balance to the warrior/knight classes

    you seem to be forgetting that the players are level synced to the planets now. if they implemented this the right way it has potential to expand the player base. Think about it PvP player would be getting there holy grail if they got to conquer the opposing factions home planet.

  13. Are you suggesting that the entire Sorcerer rotation is overpowered? I'm confused by your post.

     

    I'm not going to berate you, but I will suggest that you learn the powers that concern you. Understand what they do and how to counter them. As I noted above there are some tweaks that need to be made to Sorcerers, but wholesale nerfing isn't warranted.

    I'm not going to say that the rotation is overpowered but every time I have used it I was successful in melting the other player very fast. I will be fair and say that my main is not a sage/sorcerer, but I do understand what my abilities do thanks to some couching by a good friend

  14. what kind of noobs have you been playing in ranked? Any competent mara or any melee for that matter would be able to shut you down and make you bubble before you have a chance to cast your first blast.

    I was giving a simple example of my rotation. Please reread the first part of my post where I said I play a Marauder/Sentinel in ranked arenas. I never said anything about playing a Sage/Sorcerer in ranked

    Yes sir I'd be very happy to. please keep in mind that most of my experience has come from ranked arenas. Just to be clear I play a burst mara/sent. I may have been exaggerating a little bit with saying that the dps specs are way to strong, but that being said i have ran into enough sage's/sorcerer's in ranked that i have quit playing ranked for the time bring. when it comes to the rotation for balance/madness i don't know what the names of the powers are. The TK Sage/lightning sorcerer (I play these specs on my Sage/Sorcerer) the rotation follows as such "Weaken Mind/Affliction"-"Mind Crush/Crushing Darkness"-"Turbulence/Thundering blast"-"Telekinetic Wave/Chain Lightning"-"Telekinetic Gust/Lightning Flash"-"Telekinetic Burst/Lightning Bolt"-"Telekinetic Throw/Force Lightning". If my enemy gets to close to me then there is more worry in the world, I have my "Force Stun/Electrocute"-"Bubble Stun"-"Force Speed" to stun and get some distance from my target so i can repeat the first rotation again. That's just the Dps rotation I use i'll post the healing rotation I use if needed
  16. The class of jedi sage, sith sorcerer right now are far to powerful. every spec you play is way to overpowering

    Some of the utilities are just as overpowered. both dps specs hits like a fright train, and the healing spec as it is right now reminds of the old school Operative/Scoundrel healing. Unless you have at least 3-4 guys on one of them you won't get very far. now don't get me wrong I can solo kill a sage/sorcerer but it will take at least 5 mins to ware them down/kill them. in most cases you will never have that much time to try to get the solo kill. Long story short

    this advanced class needs to be brought back down to earth to match the rest of the classes that have clearly been left behind.

  17. Yep between Healer+Tank combo and at least 3 healers in almost every warzone this problem has gotten way out of hand. But I'm not going to suggest nerfing anything, instead go back to the dps classes like the Marauder/Juggernaut/Mercenary and buff them. We already got the FOTM PT/Sin/Sorc, Sniper/slinger are ok for now, Operatives are in a class of there own so they are ok, So buff the rest of the dps classes/specs, Make the Merc/Mara feared again. This will solve the healer problem very quickly.
  18. I'd like to see post-60 versions of those worlds. Occupied by enemy forces and unleashed beasts from the shattered tombs.

     

    I had an idea that you get a 'second' ship in the expansion. Or an upgraded version of your old ship. And it has a new Galactic Map set to the new time-setting with updated worlds.

    That is a very good idea when you look at it that way.
