I have a user fix for the kiting. It wont help too much when autorunning past someone and trying to target them. If I use strafe and strafe kite I can still run away at full speed and kite like normal. I can use keyboard targeting to swap to mobs in my swarmkite

If anyone had a lick of english comprehension Stephen Ried never says that hi-res textures will ever be released. What he states is that graphic fidelity will be improved, which could be taken to mean anything and have nothing to do with textures even. This is false advertising when they used setting that cannot be achieved to make all the promotional material. Using a supercomputer to push out the best screenies possible is perfectly acceptable, since technically i could also build said supercomputer. They showed these graphics as playable graphics, not cutscenes or cinamatics. Need proof, just google: pax east swtor

Bioware are not coming out with high-res textures. The 1.1 patch will change graphics to low and high choices only, with high being the current medium. The screenshots and gameplay videos used to promote this game were all lies.

No one other than Pro-LFD advocates have stated what you have said here. I believe what you are trying to take out of context is that when the community is established the community will be able to enforce and mitigate the griefing to a major extent. Which is not the same as saying that it is binary and only either exists or does not; there will always be arseholes. The game will continually have people push against the community and ninja/grief, and eventually those players will reach a critical mass of ignore lists and not understand why no one answers their LFG messages in chat. As such this games communities are very young and have not had the time to have guilds interconnect and the like. Give it some time, who knows each server may end up with different community policies about companion looting and that would actually be really cool.

My older gaming laptop is the ASUS G72 with a mobile GTX260 and 6Gb of ram. It is a few years old by now, but still runs this game fine on low settings with about 30FPS avg. Nothing amazing but since they game does not use the hi-res textures yet it doesn't look much different than my gaming rig running everything on max. This laptop was retailed for $1000 flat at bestbuy when it was new. Id imagine u can source a laptop at this hardware level for a few hundred dollars tops.
