  1. Hi, so I was just wondering if the stats on companions were capped at some point? I noticed that when I gave some of my tanking companions gear I had previously been wearing their health didn't seem to go much over 15k but when I wore it I had 17-18k. I have been looking at taking out their mods to put them into cosmetic gear for some of my companions but if the stats are cap'd I would rather just use mods, enhancements, etc. I make myself because it is so much cheaper. So I was wondering if it is worth taking the mods out that was 24 or should I just stick with the 22's I can make myself?
  2. The fact they didn't even say "We understand that some changes may have caused unintentional class balance issues. We are looking into them" or "We understand there are concerns with healers and tanks, we are checking into these concerns". Vague, non-committal, but still would show they actually read these forums. Which I am doubting more and more.
  3. Ok guys, my guild went into Denova last night on story-mode. We've done EV HM, had no problem downing all the normal mode stuff. We're full columi with some Rakata. We had a lot of trouble on the bosses simply because the damage was rather insane. People just took a lot of damage. As a tank I was shocked at how much damage I took and how hard a time my healers were having. This is story-mode, the developers stated that "A group of fresh 50s should be able to go in and take down story-mode". Right now it appears to be harder than a lot of the old HM content. I have no issue with the mechanics. And honestly I don't see a problem here with the operation itself. What I think happened is during 1.2's update the base defensive stats were messed with and decreased. Why do I think this? Ok, I am a juggernaut immortal spec. Pre-1.2 there is a named champion level mob on Ilum, a Jedi near a quest area, that I used to solo for extra some gear to sell. I'd usually get to maybe 30% and he'd be dead. No real problem. Now I can't get him past 50% before I die. I am popping cooldowns, running everything like normal, but he is simply cutting me down. When this happened I spoke with the other tanks and we all noticed we were taking a lot more damage than previously. Bioware said they were going to be changing the base stats in 1.2. I believe the base defensive stats were reduced, which would account for increased damage for all raid members in the story-mode operation. Then when you couple that with the healing nerfs it makes the current story-mode seem MUCH harder than it should be. I am asking the developers to please check your base defensive stats because I think this is the source of the problem and there is no need to tweak and nerf Denova itself. Denova is well balanced and fun right now. Please check this before you decide to tone it down.
  4. " PvP -> On Warzone Scoring and Rewards Hey folks, Some follow up news from observations of play and feedback over the weekend. In the next couple of days we will be deploying a small patch that will address the following issues: As discussed, minimum medals to gain rewards will go from 3 to 1 to better reward those who are backfilled. -This is making it so you get rewards starting at 1 valor medal. This is not an increase to the rewards granted, which is the main concern of the forums. This does not really fix the situation.- Warzones will once again be shutting down when population imbalance is detected. This was an unfortunate bug where a feature of Ranked Warzones (in full team play it is not desirable to let one team end the game prematurely by quitting out) was incorrectly implemented globally. -Good to know you're fixing this, so tomorrow this won't be happening? Glad to hear it- Completion of Warzones will gain a large increase in the percentage of rewards it represents, so while scoring is still the primary driver, you will cease to see games that give no rewards if players have a minimum of 1 medal earned. -Glad to see you're listening to overwhelming and massive response from the community after it went live. I hope you learn from this and listen to us on the test server as well so you won't have this happen again- We are extending the time we wait for a full team of eight to better make sure Warzones pop with complete teams. -Shouldn't this have been set up before launch? Anyway, glad to see you fixing this problem because it was very annoying- A huge thank you to everyone who played this weekend and provided valuable feedback and analysis. -Seriously? Are live servers now your private testing area? You couldn't have read the test forums BEFORE 1.2 when we told you that this was going to happen? Maybe you should try listening to us on the TEST server- PvP -> On Warzone Scoring and Rewards Hey folks, There's been a lot of discussion about the changes to the Warzone rewards system in Game Update 1.2 and the type of play style that it encourages. I wanted to help out a bit and point out a major change not all players may have noticed and share some of our plans. First of all, rest assured we are keeping a close watch on the results of our reward changes to Warzones in 1.2 and we will continue to pull constant metrics to make sure they are going in the right direction as players get used to the new rules. To refresh everyone's memories, one of the most important aspects of the new changes is that your team's performance inside the Warzone has a direct impact on a portion of the rewards you are given at the end of the Warzone. Even if your team is losing, the closer you can make the game the better your rewards will be - so don't give up hope! Giving up and letting the other team 'win faster' is now the worst possible route you can take to rewards. -Really? Yet if we stick around for 15 minutes we get 30 commendations because we brought some new players with us who were either undergeared or did not know how to play. How is handicapping the entire teams rewards for losing going to promote new people into pvp? The pre-mades continue to win, the losers get too little to get gear, and the gear disparity grows further.- Secondly, one of the things we have already identified to fix is to reduce the minimum amount of medals a player must receive to gain any reward at all. Currently that value is three (3), and we are going to reduce that to only needing one (1) medal to gain rewards. This should make sure we cover that all important backfill player while still protecting against the freeloaders. -A good change, but only if we get a boost in rewards as well. All you are doing is making it so we get rewards so long as we get 1 valor instead of 3, there is not increase to the rewards actually given. We just clear the threshold for the rewards easier.- As we move forward, we will continue to meet and discuss other possible changes based on the feedback here on the Forums as well as the data coming in from the live servers. As always, we appreciate your comments and want to hear from you." Where is the response to the MASSIVE problems with class balancing? What about the issues pertaining to the base defensive stats for tanks? How are you dealing with healers being over-nerfed? What about the issues with the collectors edition vendor never having anything unique? When are we getting an updated ETA for 8man que's and ranked warzones? What about the fact you decreased kill times in warzones but said you were going too lengthen them slightly? You did not respond to any real issue with this. You have had 4 days since the massive failure of 1.2, get the hell out and tell us something more useful!
  5. The only thing mentioned here is warzone rewards and the fact that 8-man que's are being pushed even further away. I see nothing about class balance, which is a much bigger problem than the reward system. How are you going to deal with the overpowered marauders/sentinels or DPS sorcs? What about tanks that get two shotted? Healers that get their asses handed to them? The base stat problems? What about all of the hackers? Considering they have had 4 days since the patch was released I expected more. This is what I expect when you release and realize the next day "Crap, we screwed up Big!" Lacking at best for a response from such a completely screwed up balance patch.
  6. Wow, yeah, all I see are 2 or 3 people continuously posting their malcontent at the event and on these threads. Wish you guys would go away when Bioware does something that is actually fun and enjoyable rather than complain. The event was well done, well planned, and is actually rather fun. Go complain about real problems, like the horrible class balancing or PvP issues from 1.2.
  7. You do realize this is what the premade's wanted with ranked warzones and 8-man queing right? Wait, Bioware removed that from 1.2. Oops, guess you'll have to direct your anger toward them like everyone else. Have we had a response from them yet anyway?
  8. The simple fact is there is a serious problem with class balancing and base stat/skills if the DPS has more survivability than the tanks. I wonder if we will ever hear anything from Bioware, meh, the PvP dev team is likely out drinking and celebrating the "successful launch of 1.2"
  9. Sadly this game had some really enjoyable PvP, which is what drew a LOT of my guilds PvE players into it. They got gear, cash, commendations, and had a bit of fun whether solo or in a group. 1.2 has basically killed pvp for them and many others I know.
  10. I thought I would just point out to you, Bioware, that if you believe your PvP community is some tiny percentage that can be shrugged off then you're most likely fooling yourself with a delusional view of your game or you have have never played your own game through as a normal player, either of which could be true after seeing 1.2's changes. Probably a 80% of the community PvP'd for one reason or another. Many PvE players went into warzone's because it was the quickest way to get geared for normal mode operations. The Tionese gear was utter crap compared to the centurion and the centurion was much quicker and easier to obtain. They then continued to get the champion relics/ear-piece/implants because they were a quick and easy upgrades while running operations and the occasional four man HM for columi. Then, because they already had the gear, many of those same people continued to que because by then they were almost Battlemaster, got some good rewards, and had a bit of fun doing something that was not leveling an alt or operation. Now don't misunderstand, these people aren't/weren't "Hardcore" pvpers that were in warzones constantly, maybe que'd for 3 matches to get their daily or the occasional match when they were bored, but they enjoyed it enough to be casual at it and they did it because by then they had a good amount of gear from getting it in preparation for Operations and were already fairly high in valor. Many people also PvP'd for leveling and to get gear at lvl 20 and 40. There is a large amount of player base that PvP's in Star Wars, much larger than most games. The ultimate result was many people who normally did not PvP began to enjoy pvping here because the rewards were usable to them in other aspects of the game. Bioware, you are not dealing with a small number of people by screwing up your PvP, your actions here have a ripple affect to many people. Those people who once PvPed casually now get to deal with pissed off pre-mades, horrible class balancing, and terrible stat changes you put into place. The end result is a lot of them stop PvPing. Is this a problem? Yes. Why? Because it removes a significant aspect that people used as a time sink in your game. Now they will log in to either level an alt (can only do that so much) or to do operations once a week. And eventually you run the operation for, oh, 4-5 times, it gets old and you lose interest. PvP offered these casual players an alternative to the PvE side and since they had gear already they could enjoy it, win some, and get some good rewards in cash and commendations. In short, it kept a lot of people playing the game longer and more often. Your chosen changes have ruined this and you need to quickly rethink many of them and get your developer team to play on a live server and see what their changes have done to your game before you do lose many more to apathy and boredom.
  11. They also screwed with the defense stat, my tank juggernaut is like paper whereas the marauders can run through anything. Its a pathetic class balance attempt by Bioware and only shows how poor their pvp developer team is.
  12. Is this post 1.2 or pre 1.2 numbers?
  13. The juggernauts and I are all full battlemaster or halfway there with the rest champ. So we are more than geared enough. And we are fighting people who are equally geared or, in some cases, way undergeared.
  14. Ok, so at first I thought it was me but I got out of a couple matches with other juggernauts that I know are geared and solid players. What happens? We run in and have a SINGLE sorcerer turn us to dust in 5 seconds. I was watching the count down, "2k, 3k, 2.5k..." and I am dead. I pop a defensive cooldown and still "2k, 3k, 4k, 2k..." It is almost pointless in trying to carry the ball in huttball now because I am paper. Sorcs, Operatives, and Marauders live longer than I do. Am I raging like everyone else? Yep. Why? Because it doesn't take much to balance your pvp vs pve skills. Grapple? Still OP, you promised you'd fix that at the Guild Summit in Austin, TX. Sorcs can't heal. DPS is now crushing everyone. Tank specs are squishier than the clothies. How do we fix this? Debuffs on healers, not nerfs, grey out skills where they can be turned into insta-kills, and listen to your players when they tell you something. This is my message to you Bioware. FIX THIS NOW! Or I will take my guild and we will leave for guild wars 2. Class balance isn't hard, you have to listen and play your own game to realize something is broken. FIX THIS.
  15. uh huh... Tauntaun mini pet - 200k from CE vendor BW - Giving everyone a tauntaun mini-pet Hutt Droid - CE vendor Dark Side vendor - Interrogation droid Vehicle? Nope. but there is a unique one in the VIP (purchase the bracelet if you want it) and the key vendor. Mini-mech - CE/Deluxe edition or get one from KP Longspur STAP - CE and Deluxe There are a few customization for the first companions, nothing for the later ones. Really the CE vendor is kind of crappy atm and anything we do get that is nice is given to everyone else in one manner or another.
  16. Because we did not have the prior knowledge Bioware was going to give everyone else in the game an exact copy of what they were going to give us with the collectors edition. If I had known I could get everything out of the CE vendor of any unique value elsewhere in the game I would never have bought one.
  17. Honestly I agree with the OP here. We paid extra for the collectors edition and every time we get something unique they give it to everyone else. The mini-pet was something anyone with the deluxe got, the mount wasn't even 110%, and every time they give us something unique in the vendor they toss it to the rest of the game players. Its really rather annoying. With all of the 1.2 problems and the way BW is acting I am beginning to lose faith in the company rather quickly, glad Diablo 3 is just a month away.
  18. HI! So with Star Wars imploding atm, I was curious when I awoke and saw I had gotten a beta invite to diablo 3 this morning. I got onto vent and my guildmates had also received said invites all around the same time. Apparently Blizzard is taking advantage of Biowares failure with 1.2 atm. So, who else got their Diablo 3 beta invite?
  19. Uh, EA is no way Cunning or Manipulative. They are idiotic bulls running head long into anything that they thing will get them profits and then repeating the same action believing they will get a different result. I just hoped Bioware had the balls to stand up to them. But I guess if Blizzard can't do it to Activision, Bioware can't do it to EA.
  20. Apparently Blizzard is capitalizing on Biowares utter failure with 1.2, got my D3 beta invite this morning! Woot! Time for D3 while Bioware implodes The old republic!
  21. 0/10 troll attempt. Thanks for the information, I will likely be calling them myself.

The Ship Droid found a new occupation and is working his hardest to perform to your utmost satisfaction!
  23. No, 8 man premades were pulled along with the ranked warzones so Bioware can dangle it in front of us in a few weeks when Diablo 3 comes out and fail to keep us from switching all our time to Diablo 3.
  24. I don't mind waiting for content but the manner in which they handled this was horrible and extremely shady. They announce a patch just days before the release, on a date that is not a normal patch day, then hours before the release they removed content from said patch. Content that was a large part of active content for the patch. When I said "active content" I mean content that people actually play with over a period of time. Flashpoints, Warzones, Operations, etc. Legacy, meh, woot its a nice gimmick to me that I will fool around with but not really a big game changer. UI customization, excellently done, why was this not in the release? New Warzone, Operation and Flashpoint? Ok, yep, something I can get my hands on and actually do for the next month until Diablo 3. Ranked Warzones? This is something else I can really sink my teeth into and play with for months at a time. Its something I can spend hours doing. Really the loss of this is the loss is a significant amount of content from the patch and the manner in which it was done was extremely poor. In the total I'd say we lost a good 1/4-2/3 of the content from patch 1.2 with this. Still worth playing? Sure, we got a lot of new content to play with. But will it keep people around with Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2? Meh, probably not. Furthermore, to tell us we are getting it over a "period of time" is very frustrating. So we have keep subscribing to get the content promised to us back in February for patch 1.2, which we "hope" will be before patch 1.3 some time in the next 3-4 months? It reminds me too much of a money grab and just doesn't smell right. Plenty of people might be willing to shrug this off as "Meh, at least they are working to get it right" but if Bioware does it again I would expect mass exodus to Guild Wars 2 or back to WoW. We will have to wait and see whether they choose to learn from this or not.
  25. I saw this, the crash ability is a stun, not a root for juggernauts. Does the jump itself cause root? I know the stun is becoming a passive addition to the root but I will look into the other abilities. Thank you.
