  1. Ha, had I saw this, I wouldn't have just put up my post. Now I feel like an idiot. Ugh.. /Signed
  2. So I was doing a bit of stat checking in WZ's with War Hero gear/Partisan gear/empty slots. The results I came up with are a bit surprising and very disappointing. If this is actually intended, I feel Bioware is dropping the ball a bit. I am a Marauder, so for the purposes of this thread I am only going to include my primary stats. Here is what the stats look like on the specific gear piece (chest piece): War Hero: +110 Strength +127 Endurance (no expertise) Partisan: +128 Strength +137 Endurance +150 Expertise Now when I equipped the gear in the Warzones, this is what my overall stats looked like... Empty slots: Strength: 1678 Endurance: 1709 Expertise: 1672 War Hero: Strength: 1705 Endurance: 1756 Expertise: 1709 Partisan: Strength: 1723 Endurance: 1756 Expertise: 1710 Notice that although the Partisan chest piece has 150 expertise, it only gives me an extra 1 expertise over the War Hero in a warzone? Nearly every increase across the board is trivial. It kind of takes away from the fun of the game knowing the new gear is only better than the old pvp gear by the skin of it's teeth. Could just be me. Thoughts?
  3. Im not being a tool. What I don't want to have happen is get thrown against the same premade several times in a row, which is exactly what is happening tonight. At the rate I'm losing, I won't be able to complete my weekly by resets next week. If you are really that confused by what I'm saying, I'm sorry, I've put it pretty plainly what I want. Or so at least I thought. What I want is no groups in matchmaking at all. You will have to excuse me if my point gets a little misconstrued, as I am just typing lol. I am a much better speaker. I never once meant to imply I wanted groups (premades) in regular warzones. Not at all. To say the last few warzones I have been in have been unfair is an understatement. They have been a one-sided slug-fest. Bioware's matchmaking system f*cking sucks.
  4. I do get it, I'm not changing my mind, and the people in these forums don't speak for everyone. There are a lot of people that agree with me. What you don't seem to understand is that there will always be unfairness in this kind of system. Whether it favors the team I am queued with or not. You don't even acknowledge it. I understand what you are saying about the random nature of pvp matches, but what I have been saying IS NOT hard to comprehend. Let me put it in layman's terms, so maybe you well better understand. If a group of 4 supremely geared well coordinated people decide to queue in random warzones, whatever team they are on, regardless if it is RANDOM or not, it is unfair to the other team. EVEN IF I am on the OP team. EVEN IF the other team gets a premade group. It STILL isn't fair if you and your group (with a premade) are rolled by the other team. The bottom line is, people should not have to worry about getting thrown into matchups like that.
  5. Regardless of all the hate I have taken in this thread, it is not unreasonable for me to think the normal warzone queue should be for players to jump in and play against other players in a similar situation. Premade groups almost always create scenarios where the coordinated group has a HUGE advantage. Warzones with randomly assembled players should not be "pug stomping" grounds for organized groups to farm comms/valor/creds etc etc. I think playing with friends is fun and important, but it shouldn't come at the expense of the spirit of the game nor the fun of others. In addition, there is a place for premades. Rated warzones. I would venture to say that if most premades stop queuing for warzones with randomly assembled players and went to rated warzones, queue times for them would be significantly reduced. I've also taken heat for not providing any solutions to the problem. To be clear, my solution is directly in the thread title. Take Groups out of Warzones that randomly assemble players. To balance it, I would like to see Bioware include more content for group players. (ie 2v2, 4v4, so on and so forth). Maybe even include a different Warzone queue only for solo players at the cost of slightly reduced comms and valor. The list goes on of the potential things Bioware could do.
  6. I was deployed in Afghanistan and just came back into the states Jan 27th. This early access thing for people that ordered before 'X date' isn't right. I know I'm definitely in the minority here, but what about the people who serve our country and love this game? Some of them are not going to get the opportunity to preorder due to deployments and being in combat environments. I know of a couple guys that came back with me who play and wish they had the opportunity for this early access thing, myself included. Ugh...
  7. Actually I think that poster is going in the right direction. I love that idea.
  8. Well you are right about one thing. It is my opinion. And it may be biased, I am ok with that. I'm all about whats fair to the ENTIRE community. Not just people that want to group up. There are avenues that groups can use to pursue pvp. Rated Warzones. There ought to be avenues for the more casual gamers who like to queue solo. WITHOUT fear of being put into unfair matchups promoted by an unfair matchmaking system. Regardless if the group is on your side or not. It is you that insists on being unreasonable to a certain group of people. Not me.
  9. My solution is simple and is the obvious one. Remove groups from Warzone queues. Will it bring other issues? Certainly. And I think they should be addressed. I definitely think more content should be added for group pvp outside of the randomly assembled warzones for sure. My main concern though is as the title suggests. Warzones being only randomly assembled groups. If you want my opinion on other things, ask. I have no problem with answering.
  10. Well.....yea. I understand it may slap some people in the face. But, the fact that groups can get together and queue against randomly assembled players isn't fair to me. They get their fun and comms at the expense of other players fun and comms. That is fundamentally wrong to me. I think there are other areas of pvp that should be worked on though to be sure. Obviously group oriented material that doesn't involve normal warzones.
  11. get out. I was referring to the part where you said "It's perfectly legitmate when it happens to me". I do not think that, nor have I said it. Quite the contrary actually..
  12. I NEVER ONCE SAID I WANT SOMETHING THAT BENEFITS ME ONLY. Not one time did I say. What I want, IS the community to be benefit from this. That WAS my point to begin with. I am a 'relatively' new player, that has legitimate concerns and some serious issues with the state of pvp in this game and am entitled to my opinion about it. So far, I have had little constructive feedback from the community, people have been putting words in my mouth and make assumptions about my character. It is not unreasonable for me to come here and say that organized warzone groups create scenarios where the coordinated group has an unfair advantage. REGARDLESS, if they are on my team or the other team it is UNFAIR. It is absolutely unreasonable to expect EVERYONE to group up for the sake of pvp. Period.
  13. I have literally never done that and never said that. Thank you for putting words in my mouth. I'm sure you walked out of this thread feeling like a wise guy lol
  14. It distracted people from the point of my post. Needed to be done. And thank you.
