  1. Actually TK Sages are fine in single target DPS with nice burst chances but you have to build them properly and you have to do what smashers do and remove crit. Your Turbulence auto crits and you can use Force Potency for other skills. There are some major differences between sweap and TWave - first of all is the fact that you can't gurantee a crit with TW second is that even if you crit its calculated per target and not for the whole skill as it is done for sweap. Third is the DMG Type kinetic dmg is meh. Force Potency is on a 90 sec cooldown so if you want to "gurantee" a crit you have to wait for that most of the time you are also hoping that you hit only 1 target with TW not to waste your second Force Potency stack. And last is that disturbance is the worst skill you have and spaming it gimps you in WZs If you wish to play a TK sage there are some builds that work great and allow you to have nice single target dps (if you dont bother with Disturbance) + chance to proc TK with Force quake if you wish to hit more than 2-3 targets. But they are defo not OP compared to other classes. I've been experimenting with a TK build and i can hit over 4k on most targets with my Turbulance i get the 5k hit medal like half of the WZs ( maxed out power WH set atm, still working on the EWH set so i guess i can get it up a few hundred dmg more) The burst potential is great specially when you have force potency and mental alacrity cooled: You cast weakened mind ( the more ppl u cast it on the better cause you need the proc from it) then pop mental alacrity: 1.4 sec Turbulence auto crit for 4-5k use force potency 2.1 sec TWave crit for 4-5k Usually you have Physic Projection proced by now so you can do a 1,1 sec Tele Throw (its great if your 2nd force potency is still up and was not consumed by TW) that hits 4 times for like 1,2-1,5k (if the force potency was available) your mental alacrity should still be up so you can do a 1.4 sec mind crush and you can finish it up with a project( Upheavel is great also) 1,5k without procs and crit ( up to 4+k if it both procs (50%) and crits ( like 20% in your full power gear and its calculated separetly for each of the 2 hits so it pretty much never happens)) At this point your Turbulance is cooled and you can start spamming again . The Problem is that you only get that burst every 2 min and a lot of ppl know how to LoS, if you fail casting even one of your skills you have pretty much wasted your Mental alacrity. Plus ppl can stun/knock you to interrupt you. Positioning is a lot more important you need to be away from stuns/knocks and at the same time try to not get LoSed its not that easy to do it as it may sound cause most of the WZs have a lot of columns/rocks/turrets or other random crap all over the place that ppl can use to LoS you. Plus your exploading bubbles make enemy team target you a lot since they think you are a bubble speced healer, when you start hitting em for 5k they get even angrier lol. So yeah TK Sages can be decent dps but they are in no way OP atm.
  2. lol no i have a sage and i'm having a lot of fun with it both as dps and heals yes both roles need some tweaking but you cant rely on a broken hybrid spec to be your only tool. I much rather BW buff a bit some other skills than to keep the current situation just so you can find a spot in a wz group.
  3. Stun bubble is fine if it was only used by TK Sages/Lightning Sorcs (which is what BW tested probably since i bet they are not testing hybrids) The hybrid builds are broken tho when you have no cooldown on the bubble and it costs less force so you can spam it is just meh wrong plus the ability to still heal decently so you dont take over a dps spot in your group Both skills (Preservation and Kinetic Collapse or Efficacious Currents and Backlash) should be moved up in their skill trees to remove the possibility of the hybrid builds. For example both tier 5 instead of the current tier 3 and 4. If you want to heal you wont have the stun but you'll still have the reduced cool down and resource. If you want to stun with it you wont be able to heal but will have to dps ( specially since to be able to afford bubbling other ppl you have to use attacks to trigger Effusion) plus the 5 sec cooldown on the bubble will prevent you to bubble spam and guard more than 2-3 ppl There are skills that can be moved down in both trees without breaking anythng else.
  4. I know the opinions on is sweap/smash broken vary a lot but most threads seem to end up with trolls from both sides posting useless crap so its hard to find a decent discussion on the topic. I've been playing a lot of the classes including sentinel so i've had the chance to compare the different ways to get a guaranteed crit. As far as i know the only other skill that gives a much higher chance to crit on AOE skills is the Consular's/Inquisitor's - Force Potency/Recklessness. There are many skills that improve crit chance for various abilities across all classes but they are for single target skills. The idea of this thread is to compare the 2 skills and to start a discussion: Is changing sweap/smash's crit to work like force potency/recklessness a good idea? Sweap/Smash is so hated because it has a guaranteed crit on 5 targets it has a buff to deal dbl dmg and costs no resource. No other skill in the game has all of these combined like that and when you add to that the fact that ppl can completely ignore critical rating to maximise their dmg output it gets scary. So what are the differences: Felling blow(Dominate) gives 100% chance to crit regardless of your chars crit rating and that chance is for all targets in the aoe area, your crit rating has no role at all. Force Potency (Recklessness) can stack 2 times and gives 60% chance, If you use an aoe ability (for example Force in Balance/ Death field since its in the shared tree and can be used by both advanced classes) the crit is calculated per target you can crit on 1 target or you can crit on all 3 targets if you have Force Potency (Recklessness) charges are consumed only if you crit. I think sweap/smash can be "fixed" if the Felling Blow(Dominate) talents are slightly changed to work in a similar way to force potency/recklessness so what should be changed: Make the crit chance bonus 60% instead of 100% - all knights/warriors can get 40% force crit chance without problems specially with Insight/Malice if they want a guaranteed crit. (they can still keep their full power gear but they'll have an 80% ish chance to crit instead of 100 on the first 2/3 targets and 20 instead of 40 on the rest) Change Sweap/Smash to calculate crit chance per target and not for the whole skill - like all other AOE skills work atm for all other classes. Allow Knights/Warriors to stack Felling Blow(Dominate) by using leaps up to 2 times as standard plus one additional stack if they have Force Exhaustion/Force Crush ( if they want to crit on more ppl they can’t use the hybrid specs) How will these changes affect Knights/Warriors well they can still crit their main target for the same amount if they want to crit a second target they'll have to leap one more time ( the buff lasts 20 seconds so its not a problem to build up the stacks). If they wish to have a guaranteed crit on 3 targets they wont have the chance to use the hybrid builds (stun/knock immunities for Guardians/Juggs or they'll have to loose the aoe dmg reduction/extra centering build up for Sentinels/Marauders). The last 2/3 targets can still be critted but the chance for that will be based on the Force critical chance that the player has. If they choose to go for the full power builds they'll have a chance to not crit a target. If they hit 5 targets chances are they’ll crit on 2/3 of them but they will have very low chance to crit the rest. If they hit 1 or 2 ppl they’ll have a small chance to not crit (20% ish) in that case they’ll keep their stacks and have easier time preparing for the next sweap. It will make their rotation slightly harder as they'll need to use more leaps and will have to build up 2 different buffs but its not something that will make the class hard to play. It will reduce their total dmg but without gimping the class - they'll still be able to hit for similar numbers (or slightly lower if they want guranteed crit) on 2/3 targets instead of always 5. So what do you guys think is a change like that going to improve the situation with sweap/smash bare in mind this mechanic is already in the game for other skills so they dont need to develop something totaly new like some other ppl suggest ( debuffs on targets after sweap/smash for example) and should be esier to implement.
  5. Ok i admitt i'm currently playing combat more because i dont have the proper gear for a sweap build but i'll try to give you some pointers from my limited tests. It depends a lot on the situation but most ppl do leap, stasis - at this point expect to be stunned/knocked or target to use cc breaker and try to run away so dont pump the sweap button and expect miracles your crit buff from leap lasts 20 sec so you have some time to make sure u hit atleast 1 person( the more the better) and that you have all of those 4 stacks After that you still have 6 focus what you do now depends if u got force exhaustion or are if you got one of the semi-hybrid builds (28 in focus) If you went all the way up to 31 you can zealous strike so it can start cooling and u can prepare for the next sweap with FE, start using slash to reduce cooldown on sweap and spend some focus, when your sweap is almost cooled u can do a zealous leap to catch a target or to simply get the crit buff at this point you are rdy to sweap again ( make sure u hit someone). If you have 28 points after the first sweap do 2 slashes ( to spend some of that focus) then use valor+ zen, use slash again untill sweap is almost rdy and than zealous leap and sweap. After the second sweap if you didnt go solo on someone ( never do that you are not a 1v1 fighter) your target should be dead. So leap to your next and get rdy for your next sweap. Your 3rd sweap will be from zen regardless of what way you chose to go. If you went all the way up you should have between 10-20 centering so its up to you and the situation in the wz you either build up the rest of your centering or use valor. In most cases you dont rly want to use valor if you have more than 20 centering but sometimes it may be worth it if there are like 3 almost dead dps enemies on your healer begging for you to sweap em just use it. If you went the 28 points way it depends on how much you've been hit and how many slashes you've used you should have enough centering for a 3rd sweap pretty soon. In most cases you'll be able to build it using the focus you have from your previous valor and a zelous strike + leap. If ppl hit you you'll get it faster. Because of the extra cost of FE and the fact that you build centering slower if you chose the 31 points build you may use strike a bit more but you will have a 3rd way of getting the stacks. The dmg difference is pretty small so either path is fine it just depends on how you like to play. Try to force leap as much as you can and use zealous strike as often as possible so it can cool down while you are getting ready for a sweap. If you have FE dont forget it needs a cpl of seconds to build those stacks so you have time for a few slashes/focus building while you wait for them to build up. WZs are usually pretty hectic so most of the times its not as easy to get all of the above done as it looks on paper, ppl have started learning how to counter the sweaps so expect to be stunned/knocked or for them to simply speed away if they see you getting ready to sweap. You have to experiment in game and try out different things but probably you'll never be able to execute a perfect rotation. So dont give it too much tought just go in and try it till you find what suits you. You also have a few other skills that you want to use but they are a bit situational - MS is great but dont forget you channel for 3 sec so its best if you use it on a rooted/stunned target ( you dont have the talent from combat so it wont root the target for you) or if your target is focusing someone else. Blade storm is a nice skill it wont hit as hard as it does in combat but its still better than slash just dont forget it costs more focus so use it on targets that are running away or if u have too much focus that you want to burn and you have almost made your 30cent. Dispatch is great but your target must have less than 30% HP use it whenever you can. One last thing if you plan to go focus the standard builds that go up to 30 ish crit rate are not going to give you the huge numbers that ppl complain about. Your sweap auto crits so ppl go for extreme power builds with 0 crit rate. p.s. i've changed the 31 build in focus in first post ( get gravity if you get FE the reduced focus cost is worth it) and i've also added an example of a 28 points build ( you can put that 1 point from jedi crusader into agility training or Enduring if you preffer i go for the chance of some extra focus but if you preffer more speed or some dr and reduced cooldown on GBTF either of the 3 is fine)
  6. The only time i got defender points when guarding one of the pylons was when i killed ppl from the oposing faction ( 250 per kill or something like that) that were trying to cap. There are defo no defensive points for guarding a pylon like in alderaan which is bad since those pylons left unprotected often mean dbl cap for enemy. And ppl should get some medals if they defend i doubt anyone would preffer to stay at an empty point most ppl go into the WZs for the fun in the action but it has to be done so ppl doing it should get some medals.
  7. Isnt it easier if you are suggesting such general changes to simply up the hp of all classes ( like a bolster buff for lets say dbl hp in war zones) should have the same effect and they wont need to revamp the whole medal system that is based on current numbers ( they need to revamp it anyway but thats a diff topic) As for smash/sweap the main problem is that its free when its charged up it costs no rage/focus so even after it ppl can use good skills. There is a key word in the singularity/shockwave skill "reduces focus" it should have been "increases" if the cost for the skill went up with the dmg it would force ppl to use it less often or to use weaker skills between the smahses/sweaps And yes TTK in warzones needs some serious work from BW hopefully with proper changes and not with general buffs/debuffs
  8. Any sentinel under like lvl 30 should be Focus. Combat starts shining only after you get precision slash and you start getting your blade storm skills. Focus will give you free focus (from zen) improved slash, master strike and sweap and at those lvls you dont rly have other skills to play with. Get focused slash and valor or defensive forms. When you get a bit higher lvl you can switch to combat its a fun spec but rly not worth wasting your time and making your game harder to play before that point.
  9. It doesnt work at all, tested it myself few days ago you loose 30% crit dmg on sweap to get 70% armor pen ( 100 from precision vs 30 from shi-cho mastery) and u actually crit for less. You gain some extra dmg from the ataru procs but you loose a lot of dmg reduction its just not worth it and again you crit for a lot less with sweap. Sentinel is probably the only class that cant have a hybrid build ( only one that may be considered somwhat usefull was 28,6,7 but with the nerf to watchman its just not worth it) they have to bring down righteus zeal(for example swap with ataru mastery) and saber strength (swap with swelling winds) I've been trying loads of diff things just because i rly dont like focus spec and combat is way too fragile for my liking but any hybrid version i try just fails badly. as for the questions of the thread starterer: Watchman - not worth it atm they nerfed the heals last patch and that was only reason to play ( survivability) the healers can cleanse your dots and you have no burst. You have the hardest time getting focus up and your best skill ( which is not that special compared to the others ) costs 5 focus and you have to keep using it as often as you can just to keep the buff from it up and have somewhat decent dps which forces u to use strike like 60% of your gameplay time. This is an example of a Watchman build : http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#501bIrRMRMfsZhMMZh.2 Combat is the melee glass cannon of the game ( yes melee glass cannon.........) you can do pretty nice burst if they dont interrupt you and you have some nice skills to help your whole team 80% speed inc ftw and the roots ohh joy that healer wanted to escape o wait he cant . Your burst comes from the combination of precision slash and zen. When you pop zen the 2 skills that you can spam actually cost only 1 focus and you have a reduced GCD. Your Blade storm hits like a truck also and has a guranteed crit. And your master strike roots the target. Your focus generation is much better ( you get 1 focus from combat trance every 6 sec, you get 1 focus from rebuke if u get attacked every 3 sec and your zealous strike has a reduced cooldown) and you spend a lot less focus specially when you pop zen. This is an example of a Combat build: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#501bcZGMrRRrrdGzZM.2 Focus is the most popular spec atm altho i think its much more usefull on a guardian ( because of the immunities from the hybrid build). But is great on a sent also if you like that type of play style. You will have the highest dmg numbers with this spec and your main attack is aoe and it costs NO FOCUS. And you generate a lot of focus from trying to use stasis as much as you can and 12 focus from every zen ( thats like every 30ish sec if you are alive). Its very easy to play with a grp ( specially if you are 3 sweapers) but can be quite annoying if you solo que ppl will try to focus you down a lot but you can still top the dmg charts not very usefull for anything other than dealing dmg to grped up enemies. Examples of a Focus builds: 31 points in focus: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#5010cZhMMZRMRrdfRbfz.2 28 points in focus: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#501bcZuMMZRMRrdfMdc.2 So to recap: Watchman avoid it - you generate a lot less focus and your skills cost a lot more focus, and their dmg is meh - ok ish but you are forced to use them a lot less because of the focus problems. Your dots can be cleansed and your heals will suck even if they dont cleanse them. Untill they reduce the focus cost of merciless slash and make some other buff to the spec like crits on burning targets or fix the heals or just make something to reduce the amount of time you are forced to use that crappy strike skill its simply not worth it specially in ranked. Combat is fun great bursts, speed, and a lot of roots but you'll die a lot specially if you dont have a guard/healer around. I highly recomend it atm cause we can use some more combat sents around. Focus you'll deal highest dmg, your best skill costs no focus ( whan charged up) and you get free focus so often that you'll probably never use strike. Try it if you like big numbers and dont mind ppl flaming you for playing it ( most of them dont understand that BW is actually forcing more ppl to the spec with the nerfs to watchman its not a question of choice) Shines in group play or vs very weak players.
  10. According to the latest player tests ( there are a couple of threads with hours of parses on the subject) They can crit the internal and kinetic relics take your tech crit chance and the elemental and energy relics take your force crit chance. So yes for a Jedi Guardian you have to choose between elemental and energy the rest is correct one of them ignores armor so its good for classes that dont have any type of armor penetration and the other one is good for classes that have armor pen, or skills that reduce enemy armor.
  11. I have similar problems with Doc it hapens mostly when i go out of his range but he still has a mob to attack he'll stand still shooting normal attack instead of making 2 steps to heal me only way for me to get him to heal me is to move in his range. I had to learn not to leap to mobs but to run to them instead and start fights when i'll be in his range all the time. I also notice some delays when using Scourge i have to send him first or he'll wait for ages to pull aggro. They somehow changed the companion AI recently ( not sure if it was in 1.5 or one of the weekly patches before it/after it) but all of those that I use on regular basis seem a bit dumber lately.
  12. Ohh my bad should have guessed that but for some reason i thought he was talking about the proc chance. So yeah they need to put that text on the relics ( tech dmg, force dmg) and find a way to refund us/swap the relics we have.
  13. The relic description actually says that it should crit 30% of the time on any dmging skill you use. It should not depend on any of your stats it should not crit more than 30% or less than 30% regardless of your class, force or tech crit chance. So this smells more like a bug than a hidden mechanic but if its intended they should realy change the item description because many ppl will have the wrong relic. /signed for it to be investigated asap because i'm using the wrong one also if thats true
  14. Thats quite far back, we used to have the 30% extra speed for trans also. So it wasnt just the 100% force camo that made us better. A lot has changed to the talents since those days Valor is tier 1 so all specs can build centering equally fast. The extra speed on trans is in combat and so on... As someone else said we are pretty much forced not to play the spec we like just because the team suffers.
  15. Its a nice starter guide well done. I have only one remark - you discuss 1v1 situations that are pretty basic imo. Its not hard to deal with class X if you have all your cool downs and you are 1 v1 yes we have different tools that we can use for various situations (and yes its great to have a guide explaining them to the new guys) but it’s a rare thing to have them all cooled and ready. Its not hard to deal with a sniper in 1 v1 ( and you show that pretty good) but the real problem starts when the sniper is not your main target and he/she is free to hit you while you are trying to kill a healer for example. I guess that would be a more advanced guide but a more realistic one since 1v1 situations are quite rare. So what would you do if your team needs you to harass/kill a healer and a sniper is hitting you without anyone harassing him at the same time? How do you prioritize if you have to choose between several targets for example a tank that is taunting you a guarded healer and a ranged dps that if ignored will **** you in few cooldowns. Sentinel is a great class and yes in 1v1 its probably one of the best but what tips would you give for team games what would be your ideal group composition for each of the different warzones. How do you go into group fights without making yourself the main target (so you can actually fight and not get bursted down by all of them). How do you drop the agro you are getting if your stealth is cooling ?
  16. I used to be watchman for months i love the spec i rly do, but BW are forcing us to ignore that spec. Dunno why they choose to nerf it this patch our survivability was the only thing that made the spec worth it. Now its pointless. We got worse dmg and we cant even survive as long as we could ( my healing is down roughly 40k per WZ compared to pre patch, thats extra 2 deaths per wz and a lot less time spent dpsing stuff which is my role suppousedly). So i finally switched over to Focus i hate it but i'm pretty much forced to play like this. The 2 are simply not comparable Focus is soooo much better. I rly dont want to play focus but i'd be a fool not to atm. One of the first things they need to do is reduce the focus cost of merciless slash. I really dont understand why it costs 5 focus when it deals less dmg to 1 target compared to sweap that hits 5 targets for a lot more dmg and costs 3 focus. Watchman usually has much bigger focus generation problems compared to the other trees Focus has zen (12 focus every 30 sec or less ftw), and force stasis - u need both for the stacks Combat has reduced cooldown on zealous strike and the extra focus from combat trance every 6 sec We get a 30% chance that we may get a focus point from our burns every 1.5 sec. So we need to generate more focus to use our "main" skill and we have harder time building that focus. The result is that we spend a lot more time using Strike compared to the other builds. Ye we got burns on top of that strike but still we are forced to use the worst skill a lot more than the other specs thats why we cant burst anything down not because our good hitting skills are bad but because we cant use them often enough. Even when the cooldown is over we often have to build up focus to be able to use them. If they dont want to change the focus costs they should make the skill worth that 5 focus the dmg type should be changed so it can take advantage of the burning talants we got (extra crit chance and extra crit dmg). Or they can give us some sort of crit chance bonus on skills if the target is burning ( hell even if its on Strike it'll be better than the current situation).
  17. The problem with that is that offencive medals require you to actually take over the point while defencive are given just for sitting near the node, a person sitting on a node defending it will get 4-5 medals doing so while you wont get medals for trying to take over the node you only get them if you do so successfully. In some games thats ok but in others no matter how much you try to take over some nodes it just doesnt happen ( espcially if you are solo queing and get a bunch of morons in your team). Untill you start getting offencive medals for the time you attack a node just like defencive OR atleast for attempting to take over it ( every 2 sec spent caping give u 500 for example) the advantage is at the winning teams side since they are defending. As for every class getting 7 medals in 3 min there are 2 exceptions and those are the pure dps classes ( gunslinger/sniper and marouder/sentinel) they dont have the skills from an alternate spec ( either guard/taunt or a heal) to allow them to get the extra medals the realistic max they can get in 3 min is 3 in some rly rare cases 5 ( killing blow, 75k dmg, 2.5k dmg, in some games you may get the 10kills also but if you are against a good team you shouldnt be able to get it in 3 min sometimes you may get assasin medal but that means you are not rly trying to win) the classes that have a heal or tank offspec obviosuly have it much easier in that regard. Put on top of that the dauntless medals and winning/defending team have it much easier so until they fix how offencive medals are awarded to promote attempts to take over a node its a bad idea to increase the min medals needed for a reward. As soon as 2 ppl from opposing teams that spend the same time on a node fighting over it get the same ammount of medals ( one offencive other defencive) i would agree with you that 1 is too little.
  18. Is anyone looking into this? Its getting "a bit" annoying Screen freezes of 5 + seconds everytime we do one of the following things: Change zone ( screen freeze before the actual load screen appears) - this one is the longest i've had a 30+ sec freeze Everytime i open craft screen ( the actual list of recepies not the crew window) Everytime i talk to an npc /object ( it often crashes after the freeze - specially on new event objects) If i try to mass buy items ( right click fill my inventory with boxes for 1 commendation) it freezes and sometimes crashes. Everytime i send mail ( a smaller freeze of like 2-3 sec everytime i drag an item to a letter thats being composed) At the start of a warzone when its loading other ppls chars. None of these freezes/crashes happened before 1.2 its actually worsened today after event started. I tried to go check it out but crashed to desktop like 5 times trying to start a conversation with the news object just outside the spaceport.
  19. I think the title is pretty accurate hence changing the settings wont help much. The problem is with the connection to the server as the new frozen windows/ huge delays seem to be when the game is trying to connect to the server. I got a lot of freezes now everytime i change a zone ( its before the loading screen game just freezes for like 5 -10sec). Everytime i open my crafting window before it shows the recepies. Everytime when i talk to an npc. I am an european playing on US servers i expected to have some connection issues when i made my choice but i had rly minor problems before 1.2 it sometimes took 2-3sec to open crafting window post 1.2 it takes 5+ sec everytime its just rly hard to do even simple things. Game crashed like 4 times yesterday when i was just mass buying credit boxes for champ/cent comms. It could be connected to all the ppl trying to patch the last few days but it could be BW somehow changing the way our clients connect to the server. The graphical performance seems to have improved slightly but the connection thingy makes it hard to notice
  20. Well i did one more repair - it did a repair scan only didnt fix any files ( just as the first time i did it) and it suddenly started patching after that. I had to get main assets 50 ( around 100 MB) and then Main Assets 51 ( around 200 MB) and now i'm able to log. I didnt log during the brief time servers were up today (between the announced and the unexpected downtime) I guess its a connection problm at BW Clatt since way too many ppl are trying to patch at the same time but i dont know why your repair tool is trying to fix files - could be you having corupt files or the repair tool messing them up. Still so far it was the only thing that made me start patching so dunno.
  21. I've been trying to get the "small" patch for like 50min now it never starts and i get the following error: I tried the repair thing once since someone posted it helped but after that i noticed another player that reports using it few more times made him patch 11GB I guess its because too many are patching atm but has anyone found any way to speed up the wait time ? p.s. manual patches will be a great future addition
  22. Its quite hard to post a comment on this thread considering the mixed feelings I have atm. I admit you guys got balls to postpone this but you should have announced it a week ago or at least before the patch date announcement which was rather disappointingly done also, Stephen Reid posts we won’t give you a date until we are rdy and 4 hours later its posted patch is in 2 days(even though we had many promises of sufficient warning before patch hits live servers). Every day I spend reading BW posts the more it seems there are like a dozen teams over at your offices and none of them knows what the others are doing. You seriously need to work on your internal communications because atm it sucks and its quite sad how such conflicting announcements can be made in such a short time frame. Now about the ranked warzones: I’m grateful we are not going to get the fked up mixed Que BS, and I guess I should be happy you are not going to release a broken system into the game ( I did post my concerns about beta testing on live servers on the pvp thread) And I guess that pretty much ends my positive thoughts. I guess it was obvious something is wrong after we saw Georg post about the new conversion normal coms for rated coms – and I guess that’s the reason he chose to ignore answering that question since he was waiting for this announcement – obviously you guys knew of this days ago if you developed the conversion system to allow ppl to get the new gear so it’s a shame it took you so long to announce it. A lot of ppl are obviously going to be angry about this (mostly those on the populated servers since those on the dead servers were not rly expecting many ranked WZ que pops and none of them were going to be decent). So I guess this gives you the chance to fix the server mess before you release ranked WZs but you have to understand that your clock is ticking pretty fast now. There are many games on the horizon and the fact that Tera is not getting BGs for launch and D3 is not getting pvp for launch is actually giving you some breathing time but its not months maybe a few weeks at most. Get all your teams together figure a way for them to talk to each other and start working like there is no tomorrow. You rly have to sit on your bums and come up with a fix for the server problems and some form of a preseason (shortly after or at the same time) within the next month. If you don’t - better get your marketing team to start working on an offer for a free 30 day invite for ppl that have quit cause you are going to have problems convincing ppl to pay you to see if they’ll get any of the features you promised after that.
  23. There is no ranking requirment on the "normal" WH gear - the gear with the stats. The ranking requirment is only for the special look ranked war hero gear which has no stats and is just a "shell" again - no penalty for afking in normal WZs thats only for rated ( its debatable how a few min can be called a penalty but meh another topic) And with all the new medals if you cant get 4 before you go afk you have to be rly rly bad. You get like 7 just from your team finishing a game fast.....(its obviously not every game but still 4 medals are nothing) p.s. just dbl checked the WH gear on the PTS so unless they are addind that without announcing it on live - there is no ranking requirment.
  24. AFK kick penalties are only in rated WZs, and with all the new medals you dont rly need to do much to get 4 medals 200 hours is now considered seroius lol ..... this is suppoused to be the best PvP gear for months untill the next patch Ppl will afk get it in a week and a half - if they are on a server that actually has ques of course. Thats some serious hardcore grinding there - a week afk.
