  1. Like the title implies, what kind of changes have they spoken about or are theorized in the upcoming expansion? I really enjoy the things that they've done with legacy in the past, I'm curious as to how they will expand on that content.
  2. I was big in to SWG PvP on OK WH. Played for a few years. From release until WoW really. I remember being TK, chasing down Jedi. I think ones name was El'Diablo before he sold his account. Played with a buddy named outlaw.
  3. This more or less mirrors my sentiments perfectly.
  4. This sums up another complaint of mine nicely. I wrote a thorough ticket out detailing what I had done to try and fix it and what was going on with my machine at the time. The first thing the CSR asks me to do is tell him whats going on when he starts chatting with me. I told him it was all detailied in the ticket. His response was 'Give me a minute while I look at my tools.' How about you review the ticket before you start talking to me.
  5. It's not a model that I've seen in MMO's. Atleast no to the extent it has been implemented here. I've worked on the phones for a cellular phone company as a tech support rep. I know about customer Service. I've also been playing MMO's for about 20 years. This has been, by and in large, my worst customer service experience to date.
  6. Atleast some one is getting some satisfaction. Beyond my problems I know of a few people who have quit do to the customer support. One of them got a trooper to chapter two and had a quest bug out. When the CSR's could no longer help him he was told to check for patch notes for a fix for the problem in the future. Which is totally ridiculous.
  7. Today for instance, I could not log onto two of my characters. One of them being a fairly geared main of mine. I went to the forums to get some 'support' and they ended helping me to a point of not even being able to access the game. Once I fixed that debacle, I was told to go in game on another character and open a ticket there. That rep subsequently tried 1 fix then told me he was escalating. This is not the first time for this crap. grrrr
  8. The downfall of this game will not come with a whimper, butwith the lack of any fruitful customer support. Any CSR I have ever talked to has not been able to assist me, they have all hadto escalate any problem that I have ever presented them. Why? From what I canglean from them, it's because they have several theirs of CSR reps, the lowestof which apparently has no permissions or abilities granted them to actuallysolve our problem. They instead follow a trouble shooting tree given them (mostlikely) and when exhausted can do nothing. If you are dissatisfied, asking to speak to a supervisor of the contacting repwill garner you nothing. False empathy and bogus platitudes do nothing to assuagethe frustration of a paying consumer. But that is all that you'll be given. Askfor a copy of the conversation you've had with a rep so that you can contactBioware and lodge a formal complaint and you'll be told only how a copy will beattached to the escalation ticket and not sent to your email. A certain other game, managed to maintain a decent level of customer supportwhile hosting about 11 million subscriptions, and their CSR's never once had toescalate a ticket of mine. Any problem I had would have been handled by theGame Master while I was logged in (if I was on) and didn't inconvenience mebeyond the initial bug. But this travesty of customer support is reprehensible. So what can they do? In my opinion. 1.) Stop compartmentalizing your Customer Support so much. Allow the people that contact you initially, enough privileges, in game andout, to effect a resolution to a problem. 2.) Timely responses I've created a ticket and waiting a good amount of time, sometimes never, toget a response. Same for the Customer Support forums. 3.) Clear path for escalation. If a paying subscriber asks to talk to a supervisor, he dang well ought to be transferredto a supervisor. It means they are not satisfied with the Customer Service Repthey are talking to and no longer feel they can benefit from what that rep hasto say. 4.) For god's sake, The customer is always right. Whether it's a perceived slight or an actual miss hap on your part, it's notthe customers fault. You live and die by happy paying masses. Not malcontentmobs of dissatisfied people. Correct the problems we experience and move on. Oh and lastly... Update your **** automated system. We should not be gettingcanned responses that say 'Thank you for testing Star Wars the old Republic.'BETA is supposed to be over!!!
  9. It is a pain in the butt, but every time I try to yank some one down into the pit, the sage or sorcerer that was up there with him rescues him back up. I don't support a nerf for the ability mainly because if you do you nerf PvE. And that ability in pve is essential for melee tanking when all the damn mobs in a group are ranged.
  10. Where has this been stated? I'd like to read this bit of information and see what other changes they are planning.

    Are BW Liars?

This is false, see previous post. The outcome of opening one bag is completely independant of opening any other. Your base chance never changes, though the statistical likely hood will slant in your favor the more you open. The base % of 25 never fluctuates. This is may be a statistical likely hood, but it is not a proof. And will very, inevitabley, every 4 bags you open.

    Are BW Liars?

The answer lies in a statistical law called The Law of Independant Probability. Where in two statistical out comes have no mathimatical bearing on one another. You have two BM bags, each with a 25% chance to contain a token, opening one bag where a random statistical outcome occurs will not in any way affect the roll on the second bag i.e. increasing or decreasing its probability of a desired out come.
  13. Are there plans or anything in the works to tweek/change the resolve system. It's exceptionally lame as it is.
  14. Stating something as fact, i.e. Tracer Missile/Grav Round hits for 3k all the time, does not indeed make it inherently true. Indeed stating anything with out non circumstantial evidence does not justify these inflated statements. Having only a single frame of reference and not actually applying a bit of research to your case makes for a false argument that isn't supported by reason. Before you postulate an outcome that you have no idea of the validity of atleast research the opposing point of view and attempt to research the facts. Commando/Mercernary crit chance is not 100%, contrary to popular belief. The damage out put of a geared Commando/Mercernary is not totally and wholly out of line with the other classes. I frequently get crit for more than I can actually crit for, by instant attacks which = a greater DPS than my 1.5s cast ability. Most of the big crits you see, in my estimation come after the Commando/Mercenary has hit you three times with Grav Round/Tracer Missile and then followed up with a Demolition Round/Heatseeker Missile and then a High Impact Shot/Rail Shot. Interrupting this rotation in any way forces ME, atleast, to switch to charged bolts, which also has a cast time of 1.5s. Which results in a net loss of or DPS potential. The problem is simple as well as the solution. Our DPS potential increases with each shot of Grav Round/Tracer Missile. We might get the proc to fire Full Auto/Unload with a 25% increase in damage, which by in large is our hardest hitting attack if allowed to continue on with our rotation. The solutions though are simple and plentiful. Line of sight inhibits our ability to continue our rotation. Interrupts lock us out of or buff/debuff ability for a period of time to allow you to close distance. Stuns shut us down entirely allowing one to close the distance. The biggest advantage we have is range. If you come out of stealth as an operative/scoundrel and you're in the line of fire of a Commando/Mercenary there isn't going to be much you can do, but the same holds true for a Sniper/Gunslinger or Sage/Sorcerer. It amounts to being caught out in the open on a driving range. You've given up the intiative granted by your stealth and placed the ball squarely in the ranged classes court.
