  1. I feel bad for you, because you have no clue what the community was like when it was first announced. You joined in December of 2011, you weren't there during a lot of the hype and excitement. You've only experienced complaining. I see why you might be skewed, but remember that there was a time of pure bliss. I remember a thread discussing if planets were gonna be big enough to need transports and how we would be able to get from planet to planet.
  2. That's all fine and dandy, and that was acceptable to say weeks ago. The bottom line is they released a unfinished game. They had bugs in the BH class story, AA wasn't working, and numerous other bugs weren't fixed. They could have held off release for another six months, but whoever decides when it's gonna be released got greedy. About the engine...... THEY CHOSE A HORRID ENGINE. Yeah, they didn't create their own, they used a sucky engine. That isn't our faults, that's theirs. We can complain all we want. When we're paying money to play something that was presented as "complete and ready for release" and it wasn't, you better believe I'm gonna complain till I'm blue in the face.
  3. To people who were driving on 85N near Druid Hills yesterday..... I was the dude in the middle lane who ran out of gas.
  4. Most recent Not my book... for real Best costume contest
  5. We're at the same school!
  6. I couldn't find anything on Google, so I guess y'all would know. What's the planet order for the Republic?
  7. They have statistics that prove when people are on and when people are off. Obviously if they say it's off peak, it's probably off peak. Just because you play during this time does not make it a peak.
  8. I guess you're in Europe, huh? Think of it this way: they have more subscriptions in America (more people, so it's natural) than they have in Europe. Which group are you going to hurt the most? It's a business. They don't want to hurt the European players, because money is money after all. But they can't hurt their largest player base. I know it's unfair, but life is unfair. I'm sure when the game gets bigger they'll do separate maintenance times. Accept that it's a new MMO and won't pump resources into taking servers down at separate times.
  9. I installed Vista on my Mac to play TOR. I finished installing Vista (3 hours) and installed TOR (6 hours). I finally logged on and played for an hour before going to bed. I woke up the next morning to the horror that is Vista not working. I had to uninstall Vista, reinstall Vista, and reinstall TOR. Don't ask why I bought Vista, because I don't care enough to explain.
  10. People complain about not fixing bugs, people complain the game is down because they're fixing the bugs. MAJOR first world problems over here.
  11. I just installed it on my Macbook Pro. I'm using it now! Worked like a charm. I was on the phone with apple support the whole time, I was nervous I'd mess something up. They talked me through it all (even though I had the instructions) and helped me with all the problems I had.
  12. Math is TOTALLY off, but I get where you're coming from. An MMO has has to have downtown for the server's sake and for updates. It's necessary to play the game. Imagine if they were never down for patches and rest time, they would probably over heat and never be able to be used again. 8 hours a week or ruined server that's off forever? Thought so.
