Rage spec Jugg. Enrage, Leap, Smash usually instantly kills all 3 normal mobs. If 2 or 3 survive, Sweeping Slash kills them. If one survives, free Force Scream kills it. Whole process takes 5 sec. I tried, Lightning and Madness sorc, both are not as good as rage.

So I decided to roll a Trooper because I loved Republic Commando so much. Is there a spec or advanced class that best represents one of the characters from that game (Delta-38, Scorch, Sev, Fixer)? I thought Commando would be the logical choice, but they all use big guns, and doesn't Vanguard do a lot of melee combat? Sorry if this question has been asked before. Thanks

Sorry for bringing up an "old" issue. I just wasn't sure if there was a mix up on my bill or not. Leave it to "The Man" to try and squeeze out every last penny they can out of the common working man haha. Is this tax across all States in the USA? Or just a few?

Yeah I am in Pennsylvania USA. A $1 tax on a $15 virtual good seems a little steep tp me. Anyone else get their price jacked up like this?

Acording to the chart I linked he does not have any favorite gifts. The three you mentioned (Imperial, Military, Weapon), are listed as Love, not favorite. In this chart/example I think "Favorite" give more points than "Love". So inless this chart is wrong, Malavai does not have any gifts that give him top tier affection points. Is this accurate?

So is there a good way to boost his affection since there are no gifts that are his favorite? I am going off of this site http://www.wikiswtor.com/Gift I usually like to boost all my companions affection to about 6k by spending 32K credits on lv1 and lv2 gifts. But it seems like it would cost a lot more to do this for Malavai.

I used Corso till I got her. Then I stripped him of all his gear and gave it to her (since they both use Aim and heavy armor). She has geat dps with the armor of a tank. I was even able to keep her healed through some H4 Elite bosses.

I thoroughly enjoyed leveling up my Scoundrel. What I did was start using Akkavi as soon as you get her. Since she uses Aim just like Corso, you can just swap the equipment. If you are doing mainly PVE then I can suggest a hybrid build (what I did). Level up the Scrapper tree to about HERE. Then you can get K.O. and see that it is not that great in a PVE setting, especially if you solo alot like I did. At that point I would respec to THIS. Ending with a final build looking like THIS. You are virtually un-killable with this build. With this build and using Akkavi I soloed quite a few H4's. Plus if you want to do group content you can que as healer and DPS and get into groups very quickly. The great thing about this build is you can put out good dps and you have Emergency Medpack which is a free, instant, spammable heal if you drop below 30% HP. Just something to think about. Also full Scrapper and full Sawbones are good as well

Looking at the new Skill Trees, I see that Force choke no longer gives shockwave and we only have a 15% crit boost instead of a 30% boost. Increasing all damage by 9% after smash is nice, but I think overall we lost out. Anyone try this out on the PST yet?

OK so a SSD would help load planets faster right? But I am not sure if it is lag or frame rate drop on the fleet. It gets very choppy like I am watching a slide show and it is almost impossible to ride my mount. That sounds like frame rate but I'm not sure.

I am thinking about building myself a new PC and there is just one thing I am concerned about for this game. Planet load times. Everything else seems to be ok, except trying to ride my mount on the fleet during peak hours I get massive lag. It seems to take a long time for most planets to load. Will anything I put in a new PC help this (SSD, RAM, ect...) or is this just a internet speed issue. I have Comcast and I get about 25Mbps download speed. Also it seems to take a long time to quit the game. Thanks

The first piece of gear you should get for him is a sniper rifle. As pointed out he can not use any of his L50 gear at a low lv. And there are a couple of skills he can not use without a weapon (assassinate for example). I got him for my lv1 Warrior (Jugg). I am lv 27 now and he is still better than I am. As everyone has stated, he just wrecks everything. Partly because once you give him a weapon he has access to all his skills at lv 1. I have all his skills turned on and he uses them on his own and have not had any problems yet, but I am playing a Jugg so that might be a factor. Also I would suggest getting cybertech so you can make all the modifiable droid gear yourself and all the amour and mods yourself.

I finished the Sith Inquisitor and Smuggler story. Both had good strong Act 1 and 3's. From what I hear around here no one seems to like Act 2 of any class. I am just starting a Sith Warrior now.

Welcome to the game! Most of us here try to be helpful, just don't listen to the trolls haha. My advice is, everytime you group with someone, it would be best to let them know you are new and they will be more willing to help you out with the quest or Flash Point. And maybe give you a few pointers as well. As far as crew skills go, I don't know what you picked but I would suggest Cybertech with scavenging and underworld trading. The reason being is once you get all orange gear (which as pointed out you want in as many slots as possible) you will need to fill them with Armor, Mods, and Enhancements. Using world comms to try to fill these slots can be rough. Armor costs 7 comms and Mods/Enhance costs 2 a piece. So that is 11 comms for once piece of armor. On average you will get 25-30 comms per planet, so you can see the problem here. With cybertech you can craft your own armor and mods thus saving you 9 comms per piece of orange gear! Plus you can craft ear pieces which you don't come by too often. To get some good info on crew skills Look Here. And for a good guide for leveling Cybertech, Look Here. I know droids have like two motors, two cores, and two parts. But if you look at them, it says "secondary core" ect. I just started with cybertech and i just have one Core and Motor I can make so far. If I craft two "Cores" can I put them in both slots? Or do I have to craft a "secondary core"? I hope that makes sense.

On top of this, how many comms does the whole set cost, and is there a link to see what stats they provide? Thanks

How vital is it in the Rage Smash rotation? I was looking at something Like This for a bit more survive-ability. I would switch to Soresu when needed. Thoughts?

I just want to know the actual number difference in damage with the 20% armor debuff on. If I am doing 1000 DPS over 5 min and it takes 14 sec (talented and given room for human error) to put the 5 stacks on. What is the DPS gain from putting 5 stacks on, as to opposed to not putting it on? If you are feeling generous, you can give me the numbers for it not being talented and taking 23 seconds to put all 5 stacks on. Thank you!

Anyone get this yet? I am wondering if it generates Rage while you have it out.

What I did while leveling was a hybrid like you did with your Sorc (also my first toon). I was super excited to get K.O. in the tree. Then was underwelmed by its performance. So I went from This build to This build. And never looked back. I ended up with A Hybrid Build. I loved this build. I was able to que up as a healer in Flash Points to get into them quicker. And while questing with Akaavi we could solo some H4. Her heavy armor plus my heals were great. Not to mention the utility you get in PVP. I'm not saying this is the best and greatest build, but I enjoyed it while leveling and in end game. Give it a try.

So I used to do LARPing (think of it as live action D&D) every month. We used very light PVC/foam weapons to fight with. I used dual wield swords, mostly for the versatility of them. I could use one up and one down for more defense, or both up for more offence (there were a lot of people who used sword and shield, but that doesn't apply here). There were hundreds of us who played and we had tournaments every year. No one ever used a Bo Staff (double bladed light saber) because they were an easy target. And no one ever used a single sword. I won my divisions tourney a couple of times using two swords. Every time someone swung at me high, you block with one sword and swing at the legs with the other. There is a lot of theory in this thread, but I can say from experience. Two swords are better than one, and better than a staff.

First off you sir are a liar. You did not pour hundreds of hours into this game then cancel your subscription just because you could not complete an optional quest. Also I would like to see if someone can confirm if you can pull the mods out of his gear and put low level ones in. I thought the empty shell was lv 50, but I'm not sure. Also give us an estimate of how much it costs to pull out all the mods from all his gear. This would answer alot of questions. Thank you
