  1. I see a thread for scheduled maintenance on the fourth, but none for today. Even if there was maintenance it wouldn't last this long (4:00PM, first time today trying to play). I see no servers in the server list. It's just blank, but the server status says all servers are online (IDK about EU servers). Sorry if this thread has been posted before, but am I missing something? Can somebody just point me out to a thread that says there is maintenance today? Unless this is some kind of error that I'm getting (which would be the first), but I don't know for sure. Again, sorry if a similar thread has been posted, Thanks. EDIT: Let this thread die because I solved the problem.
  2. If I lived in the Star Wars world I would be screaming with joy at 10K credits per 5 hours.
  3. Obviously this nerf had effected the GTN. I've noticed it on my server as well. TONS of materials were posted on the GTN (scavenging/archaeology is what I looked at). I've been gathering materials through nodes while doing missions and I've gotta say that a big portion of my credits were made from selling those materials on the GTN. I have 800K credits at level 34 and I got slicing at level 10. Slicing was definitely OP. I didn't notice it was until I had 200K at level 24. I could afford my speeder training FIVE times before level 25. I asked how much credits everyone had in the general chat and NONE of them had over 100K. I knew how slicing worked (bountiful/rich yields) and how simple it was to get a lot of credits. I stopped getting credits from slicing at 600K because I stopped using it due to the nerf. I got after a couple hours of playing, for two days, 200K+ from gathering slicing nodes, selling materials and quest rewards. Basically, I don't need slicing to make a ton of credits. I can just sell materials on the GTN which always sell and gather slicing nodes.
  4. If it's bad luck then I have it to. I actually didn't notice until you mentioned that. I haven't got one schematic!
  5. A lot of people are mentioning losses. I am literally not seeing any. I'm not getting AS MUCH credits, but I'm not losing any. Do people even know what they're doing? Choose the right missions. It's not that hard.
  6. That guy was definitely wrong about making around 25k an hour, but he's right about the 25-32 missions. Not once have I lost money by doing bountiful/rich yielding missions. I'm still making profit not to mention my scavenging and archaeology skill. Send my companions on a 10-11 minute mission, go look for arch/scav nodes, wait until bag is filled with credit cases, open them all (I profit on each case and I know I do and never fail because the mission is "grey" to me) and go put the materials I gathered in the GTN (which always sell for 2k-6k depending on the item. Scavenging materials sells more than arch materials on my server). Before the patch I was making insane amounts of credits, but now I still am making a good amount of credits.
  7. To be honest, my success rate is pretty high. I never fail because I never go for higher level missions due to this patch. I'm assuming that those 30 minute missions are at around level 40-50 missions (or the second to last missions category). In my opinion, since the patch, always go for rich/bountiful yields at the 25-32 range because it's a third of the time and brings pretty good profit.
  8. People need to stop exaggerating on how much credits they lose now through slicing. I haven't lost one credit since the patch. I'm currently at 380 slicing and sent my companions a couple times (sent each out 5 times) and I always chose bountiful/rich yields. I profited. I didn't lose anything. Not to mention all the archaeology and scavenging nodes I pick up while I'm questing, I can still make TONS of credits from selling those in the GTN, but of course not as much before the nerf. The thing is a lot of people who use slicing are choosing the wrong missions. They just randomly choose one and expect profit. You won't get profit if you don't choose right missions.
  9. Always go for bountiful yields! ALWAYS! I'm at 250 slicing (maybe more) and it costs me 800-1000 credits to send off my companion and after 10-15 minutes I get back 2000-4000 credits! It's insane! Not to mention I have archaeology and scavenging which means another HUGE chunk of credits after selling it in the GTN. At level 24 I had 200,000 credits. I could afford my speeder training five times. Not to mention my success rates for slicing are amazing. I probably fail the mission 1/10 times. Basically, slicing... it's amazing.
  10. My fellow Decemberists... You guys are lucky. My computer, back at my dorm, runs so smoothly. It ran the beta of this game on top graphics and everything. We brought it down here to our home so I could play the actual game. Unfortunately for me we have no nearby internet providers (pisses me off) that can give us FASTER INTERNET! All we have is the sickening broadband crap from our local internet/phone provider for a WAY OVERPRICED cost. They are literally stealing money and giving us crap internet and there is nothing people can do about it. Not to mention, I have crappy everything except for my Graphics Card, but still ran perfectly fine in my dorm room. I tried logging on, but the resolution would keep changing on me, making it run slower. I tried to play, but every time I turned I'd have to wait 5-10 seconds for it to load and render. It was fun on the beta (got in on the last day so I didn't have much time to test), but this I can't do. :( TL : DR Internet/computer sucks so I'll see you guys in a couple of weeks HAVE FUN GUYS!!!!:D:D
  11. So the first wave, you think, is going to happen at 1am? If so, then I'm staying up to!
  12. So here is a little rap I wrote for us Decemberists. I took words, sentences, phrases, etc. from people's signatures/comments. Here is to us...waiting. REPRESENTING FOR DECEMBERIRSTS - here we go... I'm part of the December crew; Please don't extend the queue Yeah, we procrastinate, so what, there's no cost to wait We're lazy and don't care, we know we're the last to pay and play. You work hard so we do not have to; I'll admit I check the clock every half an hour, FOOL. We're the proud members, plow through trolls and dismember their souls. That got a bit outta hand, but I just wanna start the adventure of Star Wars. We came, we saw, and we waited. We're a chain be-cause you can't break it. Right now I'm getting kind of lazy to come up with better rhymes. I'm not quite finished so I'LL FINISH THIS RAP......some other time. First rap, haha! I know, I'm not that good. You can rap it with this beat if you want, but it's hard when you don't know how I "flowed" it, so try your best. I promise you'll like that instrumental! Decemberists4Life :D:D:D
  13. Yeah, that's what I thought. True. If I do re-roll I could just choose other options in the conversation or take the "skip the conversations" route. Thanks for the quick reply!
  14. Can you a transfer a created character from one server to another in case you feel it's a little too crowded or must you choose wisely? IF you can transfer do you have to pay in-game money (credits), or is it real money that you must pay to transfer? I've never heard of paying in-game money, but I have no idea how Bioware is working this.

  16. This made me a little happy and now I can stop worrying (since I pre-ordered the digital copy). Digital preorders from origin get retail access Friday morning... http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=171118#edit171118 I misread the comment, I think.
  17. Hey guys, I'll probably get to play tomorrow, right? I pre-ordered and redeemed my code on the 6th... ...of December. LOL, thanks college.
