Been wondering about this also. So far Ive noticed that midlithe crystals are still used to craft 186 resistive hilts and lvl 56 orange sabers. Also corusca and mytags are used for Synthetic Prefab MK-3's. Over all though purple gemstones seem far less utilized than before. Pretty odd...

FWIW I agree with you, its obnoxious to gaff subscribers like that. But its unlikely to change. At the end of the day... Caveat Emptor.

This really does need to be fixed. I've used the supreme inquisitor robes on my assassin since lvl36 to cap. The passing amusement from this model error has more than worn off. Its frustrating to spend so much time acquiring an item only to see its got this ridiculous bug. Odd that the robes appear as they should in the item preview window...

Ive come to the conclusion that this is either by design just so people burn through materials faster or there's multiple developers working on the orange item system who aren't communicating with one another. More likely the latter, the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. Just tested this out by crafting a low level piece of light armor, dark acolyte lower robes. Three minutes later I see the same great old message pop up: "This item cannot be reverse engineered" I just shook my head and turned the game off.

This change was not wanted nor needed. It simply makes using the GTN more of a hassle than it needs to be. Before today's patch searches only behaved this way on a few categories: gifts, mounts, relics etc. I think what most people were hoping was that the "any" rarity was just broken for those categories and that they would be brought in line to function as the others do. But for some odd reason we get the opposite? Why alter it to be less convenient? Also if this was intentional, why is there still an "any" rarity at all now?

Thank you for posting this list, saved me a million creds. Armormech critical seems to have been left out in the cold also.
