  1. People have been seeing doom since the beta. Game is still here. Yep.
  2. They're not saying that because it most likely isn't something that is set in stone. Game development is always fluid, especially where the MMO is concerned. Who's to say that "soon" isn't a few patches away? Anything is possible, it just needs to make sense from a business perspective.
  3. At least bring your own post to the table, instead of copy and pasting. Jeez, some people can't even make the effort, and yet they expect BW to! HAHA!
  4. Let's be fair, we can say that about any 'achievement' in the game. Oh, you just pressed this button X amount of times, how incredibly taxing, how awesome that you did this, here's a cookie. Effort is subjective.
  5. At this point, we NEED more Star Wars games, and with the new trilogy getting under way, hopefully we'll see EA making at least some good use of that license. There are rumours flying around at the moment about a new open world Star Wars game, here's hoping when they say open world they actually mean it this time.
  6. Even if BW added more content aimed specifically at raiders, would that really keep them happy? I doubt it. They'll burn through it within a month, and then be demanding more. That's the way it is with people like that, you simply cannot keep up with it, and perhaps BW have realised that and are trying something else instead. I agree that an MMO should cater to as broad of an audience as possible, but sometimes there are limits. If more players are doing story content over raids, then BW are obviously going to devote their clearly limited (compared with pre-release) resources to pumping story out instead. Like it or not, they have to prioritise. Whether or not this continues to be the case remains to be seen, but the only way to get them to change their approach, is quite literally to get more people raiding. The data will be visible to BW, and then maybe you'll get some new shinies.
  7. Besides, they can call something canon or non canon all they like, doesn't really change much does it? If you as the player (or book reader) don't agree with their version of canon, then you're free to accept your own. They're not going to break your door down, tie you up, and then brainwash you into believing their version... or are they?
  8. In other games, yes that is indeed the case. But something is obviously different here, or BW would not have shifted focus away from raiding, would they.
  9. Probably a bit like Google, they're all in the relaxation/sleeping room, so we won't see this fixed for a few hours.
  10. Uh, this game isn't going anywhere any time soon. I mean, if it were being run by Sony, then sure it would probably have died about a year or two ago, but EA and BW are a bit better than that. I wouldn't worry about it, by the time this game shuts down, there will probably be another two Star Wars MMO/RPG games on the market, if not more.
  11. It's not even that good of a set to be honest, especially not with the blurry medium resolution textures BW forced on us outside of cut-scenes. I will however say that some of the prices on the GTN are absolute lunacy, and even if I had that amount of credits, it would be a very, very cold day in hell that I'd spend them all on one thing. Rare of not, it just isn't sensible.
  12. Well, then people need to start showing more interest I guess, otherwise BW won't make an effort. It's an irrelevant discussion anyway, as BW must have access to data that we do not, and have decided that adding more story is what the majority of players want. This won't change unless the data itself changes, and the only way that will happen, is if more people start raiding.
  13. Uh, that should have been fixed. Mine was missing until yesterday, when he came back. Perhaps he has a double life or something. C2-N2, bounty hunter for hire.
  14. Having the same problem. Tried to put the crimson paint job on him, and says I don't have the correct class to use it. BW sure did mess quite a few things up with this update.
  15. If you already have a Juggernaut, then I'd say go with Sentinel. Why play the same thing twice?
  16. New classes are not going to happen. They would have to hire new voice actors, and then re-do every single cut-scene which requires a unique reference to said class. Maybe if the game had been more popular, but with the numbers they have currently, I doubt it would make sense from a financial standpoint.
  17. Buying at insane prices obviously makes more people sell at insane prices, because they know that others are willing to pay, whether they are happy about it or not. Eventually, the whole process spirals out of control, and you end up with a ruined economy. Long story short: GTN sellers being greedy buggers? Don't buy from them!
  18. Well, there's not much else to spend your credits on once you've got your character's cosmetics sorted. Besides, if the GTN prices are anything to go by these days, then most people should have plenty to throw around.
  19. Thank you for telling us, without your esteemed knowledge we would surely be lost.
  20. Yes, I think so. I'm seeing a lot more people on the station than normal. I also had a strange UI bug earlier on, which didn't allow me to view my collections.
  21. After 30 days, ESO will lose a vast chunk of its population, just as with every other new P2P game. After that, they will have to decide whether or not to continue with a sub, or work on a F2P system for the near future. Remember all of the people who claimed *insert new MMO here* would kill off WoW? Well, it's the same situation with SWTOR versus ESO. In other words, SWTOR will be fine.
  22. Because then they would actually have to do some work, and fix the problem now, rather than leaving it a few weeks/months.
  23. Strange, it just wasn't loading in for some reason. I had to re-log a couple of times.
  24. Thanks, I'll check it out. They must have moved it.
  25. ESO is an average MMO at best, and definitely not worth the ridiculous asking price. Maybe when it inevitably goes F2P it will be worth a look, assuming the devs don't run it into the ground before then.
