That's exactly how it works. Currently you get 50 Valor and 5 Comms per medal, if you have a good game and score 10 medals you get +500 Valor and +50 Comms and end up with a total of +1500 Valor and +100 Comms. After the new patch that will all be tripled.

Ya really. Just went to Ilum, 2 Ops strong at 1 PM. It took only an hour for Ilum to have 7 people left on it. "NO VALOR GAINED" Need I say more? Every 5 kills made you get this bug and need to die in order to get 'fixed'. Rinse and repeat. Guess it wasn't enough yet to kill Ilum considering the final blow will be dealt in 1.1.5. /thumbsup

tbh anyone still subbed after this month really isn't a PvPer at all but merely someone who thinks he's a good PvPer. They got gear handed to them on a silver plate by Bioware and now show off as if they went through a lot to get it while really all they do is press the tracer missile button over and over or their lightning or etc.

Wasn't going to yesterday, after the extended patch notes for 1.1.5 there's no chance in hell I'll ever feed Bioware money off of this game again ever. Instead of fixing Ilum they try to make it dead... where exactly is my money going to? Surely not into fixing.

OP didn't play WoW in it's golden days. And since you played TOR first you are used to have everything fully speeched and everyone holding your hand until max level telling you EXACTLY what to do and where to go. WoW is boring and with the upcoming Pandas even getting stupid, but it still beats this game any day.

Why even open a topic and question what it is? We all know it's the crappy engine. And of course Bioware won't admit that, cause they will cut themselves like that. I've done my research. If you want 70 FPS in 25 vs 25 Ilum you need a 6000 dollar PC with double GPU and double CPU (yes, it exists).

They took responsibility: PvP General Players can now build credit towards the Battle for Ilum daily and weekly missions by playing Warzones. In other words: We can't fix performance, let's all forget about World PvP and Ilum.

I'm glad you realise that too, unlike the biodrones that claim they only need to have some enemies to enjoy their PvP. Everyday the same 3 Warzones and the same easy facerolling over my enemies is just boring. I need to get prestige somehow, whether by titles, achievements, gear, lifetime kill sheets, whatever. This game doesn't give you prestige at all. It just killed the only prestige you had (gear/valor rank).

Worst arguement ever. If that's the case we might as well fight naked or get gear in our mailbox to PvP with. The difference between Champion and Battlemaster is SO TINY... that it HARDLY makes a difference. And Champion was already VERY EASY to get since a few patches ago.

Okay tough guy... nice for you. As I said in OP, playing the same 3 Warzones every day grows boring on me. I need some drive to keep playing. I'm sure the enemy already knows my name and so do my allies, so I don't have to play for the fame.

This has nothing to do with the gear. I'm a hardcore PvPer, have played WoW for years as a Warrior so it wasn't hard to become a skilled Jedi Guardian in this game since it's exactly the same playstyle. Everyone may have Battlemaster in my opinion. But there's other ways to make it easier to obtain. With these changes they just ruin people's hard work the past 2 months of getting a high Valor rank, cause it will be meaningless after this gets through. I play Republic and trust me, even though I have BM gear my teammates don't while we face 8 Imps full BM geared so I would love to see my teammates get geared faster, too. But this is the wrong way to do it.

I've already yelled many times on this board that I'm quitting on 20 march, but lately I had my doubts cause really this game is fun and there's nothing else out there that's able to entertain me. However reading the 1.1.5 patch notes just makes me sad. Here's why: Ilum: For months have we been complaining about the FPS issues. Bioware didn't seem to care at all. There really wasn't any reason for us to participate in this open world PvP other than our daily/weekly. Bioware claimed they appointed a strike team to Ilum a while ago and this is what we get: Ilum daily/weekly can now be done by playing Warzones as well. Now really, what's the purpose of Ilum open world PvP? Bioware please answer me that. Cause I sure didn't go there this afternoon because I liked to see 0.7 FPS in the lower left corner as well as having the game freeze up on me 3 times. This is just the nail in the coffin for world PvP and Ilum. Valor: Currently 50 Valor per medal but it will become 500(!) per medal soon. First we made Centurion SUPER easy to get, and Champion VERY easy. Now Battlemaster must be easy too? What is this game? A paradise for everyone that wants to play an MMO and show off their perfectly geared character? Mercenary tracer missile spammers with the War Hero rank after 1 week of hitting 50? This game lacks anything to keep you interested in PvP. The same 3 Warzones every day grows boring on you very fast. In WoW you at least have recognition in the form of: a sheet with lifetime kills, achievements and titles for each milestone as well as achievements and titles for something major you did in a BG/Warzone. Here we have nothing... just our gear and our Valor rank. And soon both of them are child's play to get. Really, I see NO POINT in playing anymore AT ALL. I HATE PvE (especially in this game), and PvP is a JOKE. No world PvP because the engine can't handle it and all we achieved the past 2 months won't be worth anything anymore with these changes. Bravo Bioware. I waited for this game ever since it was announced. Bioware had a really good reputation with me because of KotOR, in my opinion the best game I've ever played. But this game brings shame to the name "Old Republic". I am very disappointed to say the least, and I will most likely never come back. These changes have pushed it.

The only thing that will happen if you control 5 bases is you stand outside Republic base and pull them out one-by-one. That's not giving you all that much. Try to go from Battlemaster to War Hero like that, you'll be busy 1 year.

200 Valor per kill are you a *********** noob dude? If they have 200 that means they control ALL bases. Can you tell me who in their right mind on the other side would 'farm' with 20 Valor per kill? NO ONE. If this happens then the side with 20 Valor all ports out and Ilum is dead the remaining day. Ilum right now = Republic have their base and use the turret, they get like 80 - 100 per kill while the Imps get a bit more because they get less kills because they have no turret. It's perfectly fine right now. If you are STUPID enough to 'farm' with 20 Valor per kill then it's YOUR FAULT.

That's what you care about? 'I will have an easier time on my next BM+ character'? Isn't this game too damn easy already?! And there are other ways to grant people Battlemaster gear easier other than *********** over everyone that has been PvPing hard the past 2 months. Really I hope this game dies fast and hard. Can't believe I waited for 5 years on this garbage.

Valor became a joke on the Empire side, NOT the Republic. Hence why I'm about to become the third War Hero on our side, and they have 100+ War Heroes which I never heard of and even got some Conquerors.

Because it's obvious the next PvP set is going to be that of the War Hero and that you'll need to be Valor 70 for it, duh?
