Tell me, how is getting a new ship chassis without anything but time spent to upgrade it P2win? Fleet req just unlocks 2 ships and Npc crew - hardly a game breaking advantage.

Here's why: If they put in GS and Pad support, people using them would be easy targets and thus cry about getting owned to BW and how this game is blah blah blah and just making the complainage last indefinitely. Thus I am sure BW made a conscious decision to leave them out. Mouse and keyboard is much more quick and accurate than a clunky joystick / pad in which you will no doubt come to realize once u put in time to get used to it.

Agreed with OP. It really is feeling more and more like Star Wars. Looking very much forward to seeing where we go from here.

Give it a chance guys. Been hardly 2 days. I have learned to love them and I often can react much quicker than I can with a joystick. It was easier for me to adjust as I played another game with a similar setup. Hated it at first, got used to it and then ended up getting surgical with it. That is all.

I think the problem that people feel is that they are rather useless until they get this gear. While the play-all-days might scoff at that, BW needs to realize that the majority of their players are moderate to casual players. Loot to WIN = FAIL (surprised mythic didn't learn its lesson from Warhammer)
