Starttoplay
Reopening the idea that additional (more colourful) skin colors, tattoos, and hair colors be added to the base human or other near-human species in the game. This would allow us to play as things such as Zeltrons, Pantorans, Umbarans, you name it! They could even come in affordable packs on the Cartel Market, like customizations have been done in the past. Now that SWTOR has been handed over to Broadsword, I am no longer hopeful we will be getting a new race anytime soon. But more customizations for a base "human" could be a solution to that problem! PS: Please fix the male Togruta lekku by giving us an option to make them longer like the other NPCs in the game. They were a dream race ruined because of it!
SteveTheCynic
To take just one example from your list, Zeltrons shouldn't be humans with Zeltron-coloured skin, because everywhere you went in-game, people would speak to you as if you're human, with no hints of "alien filth"(1) in Impside encounters, and that would be ... jarring for immersionists. That said, the graphical modelling work for Zeltrons should amount to "body and face shapes like humans" (using the human geometry files) and "skin and hair colours like Zeltrons", and theoretically that should be less work than adding an actual new species with new face and head geometry. (1) Ref: Major Bessiker's son when your non-human (and not PBS either) Inquisitor goes to rescue him.
Starttoplay
Be it humans or one of the near-human races. They could even create a new race called "humanoid" that is treated as if it were an alien in all story dialogue and such. But I do see your point. (Adding new "humanoid" species would then be a case of more colours and suchlike on the sliders.)
