Jumping on the crane to raise you up to the final area teleports you back to the beginning of the puzzle. Works that way for all of them, which I grant you is a pain, just the way they were designed, and thank goodness you only have to do them once now, not for each character as it was. Better take a toon with teleport (sorc or sniper and their republic mirrors) and set a teleport point before you advance so that you don't have to start over. PS: it's lucky that you didn't get the balloon bug on Tat where it simply disappear right before it reaches where you are supposed to jump on it. Or how the balloon will suddenly become not-solid right before you jump on that sand crawler. Your toon will just fall onto the sand and have to start all over again.
