If ever you want to transfer the character to a new server, if it's in a stronghold and you never bought that stronghold on the new server, the character will be somewhere that doesn't exist ("My active Coruscant Stronghold", for example)(2). Yes, they could move the character to Fleet or something at that point, but if it's an intended thing, it's surely because of that sort of thing. The same problem could also happen in a couple of other cases: * On a different character, you deactivate the stronghold. * It's a guild stronghold and you get kicked from the guild. Or it might be a bug. (0) I haven't seen this because I almost never leave characters logged out in a stronghold. (1) Not the best thing, but a good thing nonetheless. I try to make a point of putting some distance between me and interactive things before logging out. It does seem to help most of the time.
