I worried that my GPU was overheating also but I had put a big fat Zalman copper cooler on it and that surely couldn't be the issue could it? I came to understand that it was my cheapo power supply. I bit the bullet and got a nice "continuous Power" power supply from new egg and like magic, it no longer shuts down even though I have turned the fans down a bit on everything. Keep in mind that crappy PSUs like to flux a lot, giving you spikes. When one of our modern GPU cards doesn't get enough voltage, poof, they shut off and sometimes the computer will keep the fans going and the computer is still running but you'll never know because the GPU is off. Bite the bullet and get a good PSU and you'll never go back to 20$ units again. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
