xordevoreaux
This is the guild finder in Everquest 2 (I randomly selected a guild from the list): https://i.imgur.com/0tkBxx5.png The idea is that certain guild members are flagged as recruiters, a status they can flag off and on, and when they're on, if they put on their recruiting hat (a figurative term, not a game device) then that player's guild shows up among a list of guilds currently recruiting. Additionally, players looking for a guild can filter for guilds that have certain opt-in features selected: https://i.imgur.com/pfZsLUA.png Adding something similar to SWTOR increases the likelihood that people connect with the types of guild they want, and don't have to stand on fleet chirping "looking for a guild" or some such. They can just look at the current list.

MagSul
An official one would be a good shout! In the mean time, others have tried putting such things together themselves. https://swtorfancommunity.com/guilds/
SteveTheCynic
Additionally, players looking for a guild can filter for guilds that have certain opt-in features selected: Gven the list of selectables in SWTOR's guild profile panel, it's probably a good idea to be able to filter for guilds that have those things *deselected*, e.g. I want a guild that *isn't* interested in PvP. EDIT: Sorry, I meant that it's a good idea to *also* be able to filter for blah blah blah. Edited April 2, 2020 by SteveTheCynic
