ClayPeopleCry
Just think about it for a second. Just look at how large the Empire use to be, and think about how the Jedi pretty much wiped them all out. Then take into account that the Sith wasn't actually the Empire itself. They were a race of people and the Jedi wiped them out with the Empire. That's genocide driven by racial discrimination on a massive scale. How in anyway shape or form is that good? Mannic
The Jedi and Sith are both diseases that must be purged if there's ever to be true order in the galaxy. Edited December 30, 2011 by Mannic

Chomag
The sith were always a race of warmongering evil filth. However, they were confined to a limited area of space. When the republic sent emissaries to established 1st contact, a warlord used them in a political intrigue painting the republic as a common enemy and then seized power. They the sith proceeded to battle against the republic because, being warmongers, they just wanted to conquer everything. They lost the war due to the republic being technologically and military superior in every aspect. Seeing the sith are too power hungry, violent and dangerous to be left unchecked, the republic proceeded to exterminate them but failed as the sith escaped into the uncharted space. And who gave them the right to decide that? Human's were pretty darn warlike in the past too. Did they just forget about all that? Did they just forget about all that? The right of self preservation against an obvious threat. If a man with a knife comes at you, do you use that gun in your hand or do you question your right to defend yourself ?!? Mercy is only given to an enemy who can never raise his hand against you again, not to a dangerous foe that has a moment of weakness. Woodspoon
I'd say the Jedi are actually worse in some ways. At least the Sith were always honest about wanting a fight, unlike the Jedi "no no we don't want a fight we like peace, well ok we'll try to kill all of you then". It would be kind of like America (republic) deciding to destroy England (Imperial) because they thought cockneys were a threat.

It's simple Good - Evil. This isn't tolkien were things sometimes aren't what they're supposed to be. In this universe Empire is the Evil side, or rather the Sith are evil. EDIT: the fact that they use the darkside kinda proves this. Edited December 30, 2011 by LaurentiusX
