It looks like some sort of hand protection but I'm not sure if it is resistant to lightsaber blades... Also, wouldn't it just get in the way of combat? You'd be surprised at how little protection the guard on a real metal sword provides against your opponent's blade in the real world. But that's not what it's for. It is there to protect your hand, for sure, but against the bad things that would happen if you let your hand slip onto the blade. But of course it also protects your hand against the damage from smacking it into walls, helmets, and so on. But it clips horribly in a Sentimara's left hand because the guard thing doesn't switch sides. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
