I notice that currently (at level 16), I'm focused a lot for my healing. Triik Posted December 29, 2011 Share Posted December 29, 2011 even if you want to focus on survivability, absorption rating is still not the way to go. Your shield chance is 0% as a merc, even at 100% shield absorption rate its still worthless since you won't shield anything and thus your shield won't absorb anything. Even if you wear a shield generator, its shield percentage is like 5%. absorption is designed for powertechs since ion gas cylinder gives them 15% extra shield chance.
