Cawalski
WTB Search function on the forums... or I am an old moron who couldn't find it... Either way... What is the functional difference between a shield and a power generator? I have two generators of the same level... one shield... one power... and their stats are identical with the exception of the shield the one provides... I do understand the intended concept.... one for tanking, one for dps but... What am I missing oh wise forum rats?
Guurzak
The generator has a significantly higher tech power- i.e. a bigger damage boost. Tech power doesn't show up in the "comparison" section but it's in the item stats. Edited December 28, 2011 by Guurzak

FoE_TooLate
So Generator gives you Tech which helps your DPS. Shield gives you the bonus the Shield, Defense?
Big_Bad_B
Yes, I think that's it exactly.
Guurzak
A shield and a power generator of the same level will typically have the same amount of +END+AIM. The shield will have shield chance and absorb, as well as some tech bonus. The generator will have no shield stats but a bigger tech bonus.
