arunav Posted December 12, 2016 Share Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) She has a fantastic, simpler version of a Jedi armor from 3.x (the chest doesn't have odd metallic shoulder attachments). This is a great, hood-down Jedi set, with intricate robes that aren't movie-era but still look very "Jedi". If it's not possible to add to the CM, could BW consider making the set not bound to Master Ranos? That way, players could use outfit designer to add the look to their character. As players, we spent a good deal of time in the DvL event getting the companion, and it would be great to have access to this set in whatever way can be arranged, specifically the chest. The rest of the set is available in Alliance crates, but the simplified, much nicer chest is not. They could create a free-standing CM-compatible set that looked like that, like they did for Thexan's gear. And yeah, I think it would be a good thing. (CM? Not sure, but add it somewhere, yes.) We have no idea what dictates this (beyond a profitability bottom line), and it's very much possible that a Master Ranos armor wouldn't meet their criteria. So, I've suggested making her set not specifically bound to her as an alternative, letting players stamp the chest or other pieces into Outfit Designer. This was done with our original Class companions' armor sets when 4.x came out. In any case, I don't believe you are in a position to know how armor sets are assigned to Cartel Packs either. I don't remember the name of the piece, but you can get it from alliance specialists crates, which binds to legacy. It comes in brown and is consular gear. The colors are (white/secondary brown), but there are large shoulder attachments on the chest from the set found in Alliance crates, just as there was for the gear in 3.x. The Ranos armor is not found anywhere in-game, currently or in the past. I am suggesting this because I don't think it would take much work to either unbind it from Master Ranos (kind of an extra reward for those that ran the event) or make it wearable for players and put it in a CM pack (perhaps a silver drop). As someone who spent about a month and a half on DvL primarily to get her, I don't like the idea of her immediately being available for direct purchase. Would kind of be a slap to the face of those of us who spent hours and hours to get her. However, I wouldn't mind if she became available in some way in a year or so, once the newness has worn off. (As someone who missed HK-55, I'd actually like to see that kind of thing for all these exclusive companions. More 'exclusive for a year or so' rather than 'get it now or you miss it forever'.) Calwred Posted February 6, 2017 Share Posted February 6, 2017 speaking of companions, wouldn't mind the dark side version to come up in marketplace for possible purchase, and perhaps their lightsabers, which are similar to Kylo's in The Sith Awakens, and perhaps the sith companion's outfit from the dark and light event, perhaps make that available as well.
