Game Crashes on Chapter 1 Start

My game keeps going to "not responding" on the start of Chapter 1, as soon as the classic Star Wars scroll begins to play.

 

There appears to be no way to skip the scroll, either.

 

EDIT: I switched it from windowed to fullscreen and it appears to have allowed me to get through the scroll, but the screen is glitched to black and then it fails to load past the opening scroll.

 

I'm playing on a Windows Surface Pro 3 and I think the problem is exclusive to these tablets, because I remember having it in 4.0's release and it ran fine on my laptop but not my tablet.
