Bug Fix Suggestion from Customer Service slides past the issue

I have a character who completed all of the heroics on Voss. Got the crates and rewards and Voss heroic achievement for completing all 4 of them.

 

I then had to go to the mission drop box to complete the weekly, but there was no interacting with the mission drop box, not clickable. So I put in a ticket.

 

Response was this:

We’re sorry that your mission didn’t run smoothly.

 

When this happens, we recommend that you try resetting the mission. This usually clears up the problem.

 

To do that, follow the steps here: http://help.ea.com/en/article/swtor-reset-mission/

 

You can also report the bug to the development team by using the /bug command in-game.

How does resetting the weekly quest help if what leads to the completion of a weekly quest are missions that cannot be completed for that week?
