PVP Enhancement with PVP bases and Bounty's on Players

Good Morning Folks;

I haven't been on the forum in such a long time reading up on current ideas, So, while I am waiting for the completion of today's maintenance, I wanted to ask for your opinion on something I was thinking about for awhile now when I was having numerous chats with my player colleagues that I believe would be nice to add to our current swtor game.

Rebel and Imperial Conflicts

Lets start with military bases, got you thinking? What about bases? Well, the more bases you have on a certain planet the more control you have on that planet. When a faction is in control of a planet, they can take missions to defend a base from an attack. Factions who are not in control of that certain planet, can take missions to attack that base or bases. How can this be done you say? Through the pvp mission terminal that we already have in place, through factional NPC's. Every player whom takes part can have a real impact on the game play through out the Old Republic Galaxy.

Lets Continue; Now only the faction whom are in control of that planet can put bases down, and so when a faction takes a base they can completely destroy it or take it over. When a base is taken over, the base of course will be weak and vulnerable and new defences must be in place to make the base complete, (walls, turrets, electroncs). Here is where the crafters come into play of which would make the crafter valuable in game and promote crafting and GTN economy, players love to make money.

When the base is taken over the base must be occupied for 24 hours by players before NPC's of that faction can start spawning and defend the base NPC"s can be level 70, this in-turn opens the 24 hour window to other faction to counter attack. In the game as we see it can have these bases, Alderaan, Balmorra, Belsavis, Hoth, llum, Ord Mantell, Quesh, Taris, Voss. This can open the swtor galaxy to Naboo, Talus, Rori, Kashyyyk,Dathomir Endor, Lok, Mustafar of which new future storylines.

Of course you are going to have certain cities that will always be imperial or rebel as the system currently works. Neutral players like bounty hunters and smugglers can switch factions, this is only an idea here not sure faction switching can be worked in the current game system.

This leads to Space PVPing NOT what we have now. Traveling the galaxy to pvping. How you say? by quick travel to part of the galaxy you want to pvp in.

Lets face it not all players want to pvp so that being said if players do not want to pvp within that planet, or space they have the option to stay pve by changing there status. This concept opens the door to using the Outlaw Den more of which I never see anyone use in pvp, How I know this is because I go there to see if there is any pvp action.

What are the perks to all this? MONEY MONEY MONEY Players love making money in any game to buy stuff on the GTN. Lets make the bases busting and building lucrative: Here is an example:

This can also be part of the conquest system

Busting a base 500,000 credits bases on 8 per team

Destroying a base: 600,00 credit based on 8 per team

Keeping a base: 800,00 credits based on 8 per team

made safe for NPC's to spawn 1,000,000 credits based on 8 per team

Credits would double if there were 16 per team

Part II

In any pvp mission players were engaged in and died can place a bounty on the player that killed them. When you die a pop up icon will ask you how much do you want to place a bounty on player ? it is here where you place your amount of credits. Now the pvp mission terminal would house the bounty missions whether it be a pve bounty or a pvp bounty. In the pvp mission terminal it will tell you how much the bounty is but not the players name. Just like Bounty week you must release 5 seeker droids to find your bounty of course fleet and faction cites you will not be able to get your bounty, as a bounty hunter you will just have to wait for your bounty to move to claim. If a player goes offline, that mission will be requed at a later time when the player logs back on. If you are on an ops your bounty cannot be claimed

Like I said Folks what do you think, some of these ideas are not new and were pooled by many players I played with throughout the years.

LET'S DISCUSS MAYBE THE DEVS WILL READ AND GET SOME CREATIVE IDEAS GOING TO ENHANCE PVP/PVE.

Cheers

It is like you completely failed to grasp the concept of TOR.

Each planet is a snapshot in time. You start on Tython, by the time you leave time has passed. You aren't there for a single day, you are there for at LEAST a month as far as the story is concerned. Now let us look at the planets themselves. Taris is 1st half of act 1 for Reps, while Imps don't see it till act 2. This is because time has moved on. The Reps try and rehabilitate the planet and settle on it, the imps come back later after the war has started to destroy it all and prevent the Reps from reclaiming a planet Malgus destroyed 300 years ago (it was a city planet like Coruscant before). By contrast, In act 1 the Imps take control of Balmora while in Act 2 the Reps come in and rescue it, kicking the Imps completely off the planet and reclaiming those huge weapon factories. Which int he story is the beginnign of the end for the Imps, Marr even mentions it in the Makeb missions that lack of weapons (Balmora is the galactic location that makes some of the best weapons) is why the Imps are a breath from losing everything.

Then you have the act 3 planets that take place even longer after that. Each and every planet is a step forward in time as you move forward through your story. It doesn't even stop after the class stories. Makeb, SoR, Ziost makes it the most abundantly clear.

these are not constantly evolving planets. Yes you can go back and visit those planets but when you go back it is just dailies and such, mechanically you have already moved on.

What you are after are planets that aren't built as snapshots, the space part is totally un-obtainable. As the poster above me has said...you are after EvE-Online...

Dying in a warzone match is common so a person placing a bounty on someone would pretty much be a free cash giveaway. Only in the case of premades or if BW were to add some sort of killstreak system would this be feasible.
