MatzahMaul
I understand that while in a group I should run with Combat Support, but what about while soloing? Right now I am level 14 and using that armor piercing cylinder.
Sturon
CSC is what I used. With 30 stacks you have 3% bonus Healing AND damage. Then you can use SCG to 10% bonus Healing AND damage. It also makes powershot and unload use less heat. Just stick with CSC in my opinion.
Gyromite
I agree about CSC(1). It has been extremely helpful throughout my leveling as a bodyguard merc. SCG(2) as has gotten me out of a few rotten situations. Sometimes if I'm taking too much damage I can pop SCG(2) and I have 10 seconds of heat reduced healing. I also use it to take down elites because I spam power shot while SCG(2) is up. It helps cut down enemies quickly. In fact. I don't think I could have beaten Gault if I didn't have CSG(2) running on CD. I had to chain heal myself constantly in order to not die. I lost Mako pretty early in the fight so I had to rely on Rapid Shot spam and then poping CSG(2) every time I hit 30 stacks. In closing I would highly suggest running with CSC(1) for soloing because of the versatility but only if you've reached your SCG(2) talent. Otherwise I would just use combustible cylinder until you are able to spec into it. (1) Combat Support Cylinder (2) Supercharged Gas
